H.S. Vanderland
    YORKVILLE- Henry S. Vanderland, 83, of 58 Whitesboro St., uncle of 
WHitesboro Town Justice Sidney E. Vanderland, died yesterday in his home.
    He was born in Herren Veen, Netherlands, son of Sidney E. and WInifred 
Touwsma Vanderland and was educated in Dutch schools. He came to Clark Mills 
in 1910. He latr lived in Whitesboro and Yorkville.
    Mr. Vanderland married Mary Henderson.
    He was an employee of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for mor than 23 
years, retiring in 1953. He was later employeed by Marcy State Hospital 11 
years, retiring in 1964.
    He was a member of St.Peters Episcopal Church of Oriskany and the 
Metropolitan Life Insurance Veterans Association.
    Surviving, besides his wife are two sons, Sidney of Whitesboro and Emery 
of Utica' a stepson, Donald G. Hendersn of Yorkville and a brother, Emery S. 
of Oriskany.
    The funeral will be at 10:30 Saturday from the J.W. Dimbleby Funeral Home, 
Whitesboro, with burial in Oriskany Cemetery.
