Recorded: July 27, 1857

Will of Mary Hungerford of Camden, dated May 13, 1851, proved July 27, 1851.  She 
died in March 1857.  To eldest daughter Anna, wife of Plina (sic) Darrow, $100.
to Cynthia, widow of my late son Erastus Upson, $50. in addition to money already 
given.  To daughter Martha Sutton, $100.  To Mary, wife of Zina Dennison, $100.  
To daughter Canda, wife of Luther Miller, $100., for which I hold two notes of 
$50. given me by her husband.  To daughter Alma, wife of Lyman Huntley, the note 
against her husband, $50., plus money to equal $100.  To the surviving children 
of my late daughter Eleanor, widow of Baruch Orton, deceased, or their legal 
representatives, $10. each.  The executors to pay the balance to the heirs within 
one year.  The residue of the estate to my sons Lent M. Upson and Ashbel Upson, 
to be equally divided.  Executors: Lent and Ashbel Upson.  Witnesses: Artemus 
Trowbridge and Angeline Upson.

Additional Comments:
Additional papers from probate file, Oneida Co. Probate Records, Docket 1997: 
   Probate July 7, 1857: of the two witnesses to the will, Artemus Trowbridge 
testified that he had known Mary Hungerford at least twenty years before her 
decease.  The second witness, Angeline Upson, is now deceased.
   The residence of the legatees: 
       Lent M. and Ashbel Upson of Camden; Cynthia, widow of Erastus Upson 
dec'd., of Camden; Anna, wife of Plina Darrow and daughter of dec'd., Camden.  
       Mary, wife of Zina Dennison, resides at Fairport, Monroe Co., N.Y.
       Alma, wife of Lyman Huntley, resides at Brockport, Monroe Co.
       Canda, wife of Luther Miller, resides at Winnebago Station, Winnebago Co., 
Illinois
       The grandchildren are the descendants of Eleanor Orton, a daughter of said 
deceased, and all have attained the age of 21 years or over:
       Grandsons are Joseph Orton of Pulaski and Ashbel Orton of Williamstown, 
Oswego Co., N York
       Darius Orton, William Orton and Erastus Orton, residing at Harbor Creek, 
Erie Co., Penn.
       Baruch Orton, residing at Jacksonville, Chickasaw Co., Iowa
       Granddaughters are Martha, widow of Wm. Dustin, Racine City, Wisc.
       Betsey, wife of Lester Loomis, Door Village P.O., Indiana
     The widow of Erastus Upson is the legatee and not the grandchildren, and the 
legacy has been paid to Mrs. Upson and her receipt taken for the same during the 
life of Mrs. Hungerford.  The children of Mrs. Cynthis Upson are all over 21 
years of age and are
        Angeline, wife of Dr. David Ely of Rochester, Monroe Co., N. York
        Cynthia, wife of Don A. Gatchell; Hannah, wife of Nelson B. Stevens, Esq.;
Mary Upson (unmarried); E. Ballard Upson, all of Camden, New York
