I, Milo Pond considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound disposing mind and memory (Blessed by God for the same,) do make publish and declare this instrument to be my last Will and Testament of all my Estate Real and Personal of which I shall be signed or possessed at the time of my decease as follows: viz: First: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah A., the homestead, dwelling house and appurtenances thereto situated in Camden aforesaid about half a mile west of the village, on the north side of Mexico St. being part of Lot No. 51 together with all the household furniture in the same, to have and to hold the same to her for and during her natural life and after her decease then the homestead appurtenances and property above mentioned shall descend to and be wholly divided among my heirs at law. This bequest is to be accepted in lieu of Dower and all other claims upon the Estate. I also give devise and bequeath to my wife Sarah A. all the rest and residue of my personal property subject to the payment of all past debts and demands which may be due and owing by me to have and to hold the rest and residue of said personal property after paying the debts as aforesaid to her and her executors, administrators and assigns forever excepting the bequests hereafter made. I also give devise and bequeath to my wife Sarah A. the income and profit of one share of Rail Road Stock which I now own in the Rome and Watertown Rail Road ( of the nominal value of $100) and after her death the said share of Rail Road Stock shall descend to and be divided in equal shares among my heirs at law. My meaning and intentions in the above bequest of the use and profits of the homestead including the dwelling house with the barns and lands appurtenant to my wife Sarah A. is that she shall so hold and enjoy them so long as she shall remain my widow, but in the event of her marrying again after my decease then and in that case, the said home stead with the appurtenances shall revert to and be equally divided between my two sons Sylvester C. Pond and Orestes M. Pond. The income and profit from the share of Rail Road Stock above mentioned is to go to my wife Sarah A. during her natural life in any event. Second: I give and bequeath to my son Sylvester C. Pond all of a certain lot or piece of land, being a part of Lot No. 66 on the south side of Mexico St. in Camden aforesaid, between David Osborns and Merrit Ponds, containing about twenty five acres of land to have and to hold the same to himself his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever, subject to the payment by said Sylvester C. Pond of the sum of One Hundred Dollars to my daughter Caroline, wife of Alfred Smith of Camden the said sum of One Hundred Dollars to be paid by Sylvester C. to Caroline as follows: one half thereof being Fifty Dollars within one year after my decease, and the remainder being Fifty Dollars to be paid within two years after my decease. Third: I give devise and bequeath to my son Orestes M. Pond all of that lot or piece of land on Mexico Street in Camden, being about twenty acres of the lot known as "Priest Lot" to have and to hold the same to himself his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever. I also give devise and bequeath unto my son Orestes M. my undivided third part of the wild lot in Camden near Mr. William Cash's which I own together with Merrit Pond and Sherman Osborn., the whole lot containing about one hundred and forty nine acres of land. I also give devise and bequeath to my son Orestes M. one share of stock in the Rome and Watertown Rail Road to have and to hold the above bequests to himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever, subject to the payment by him of the sum of One Hundred Dollars to my daughter Clarissa, wife of Sheldon Smith of Camden, which said sum of One Hundred Dollars shall be paid by Orestes M. to Clarissa as follows: viz Fifty Dollars within one year after my decease and the residue being Fifty Dollars within two years after my decease. Fourth: I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Caroline, wife of Alfred Smith, One Hundred Dollars to be paid to her by my Son Sylvester C. as above specified to have and to hold the same to herself her heirs and assigns forever. Fifth: I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Clarissa, wife of Sheldon Smith, One Hundred Dollars to be paid to her by my son Orestes M. as above specified to have and to hold the same to herself, her heirs and assigns forever. And I do hereby constitute and appoint Horace Dunbar of Camden aforesaid the sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament contained on one and a half sheets of paper hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
