I, Jemima Gardner, of the Town of Verona in the County of Oneida and State of New York, being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, that is to say. First, after all my lawful debts are paid, I give and bequeath the use of all I possess to my daughter Mary for her use and her sister Elizabeth Marsh and her children including my granddaughter Beulah. If I should die within six months they are to have it ten years, if I should live five years they are to have it only five years after my death and as to the end of (illegible) ten. After my death my daughter Mary is to have five hundred dollars if she does not marry. The balance is to be divided equal (sic) to my son I.W. Gardner, Thomas O., Mary A., Elizabeth Marsh, Franklin and Edwin. If Edwin should be a steady man he is to have the control of what he has, if he is not capable of taking care of it he is to have the use of it and the principle to be used for his benefit, as my executors shall see fit. Likewise, I make, constitute and appoint my son I.W. Gardner and Mary Gardner to be my executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and testaments (sic) hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
