Personal research as of 2012
Angeline Auringer was born Janaury 29, 1829 at Onondaga, New York to Peter 
Isaac Auringer and Susannah Vroman, the first of 10 children. Her younger 
siblings were: Elizabeth (born 1830 NY); Gideon Francis (born October 2, 1832 
NY, died September 19, 1900 Marshall, IA); Bertha (born abt 1836 NY, died March 
11, 1848 NY); Cordelia (born November 18, 1837 NY, died November 3, 1922 
Rockford, Illinois); John W (born 1843 NY, died Montana); Freeman (born 1847 
NY, died April 1, 1848 NY); Freeman Verone (born February 1849 NY, died 1918 
Hampton, Franklin, IA); Franklin (born August 1850 NY, died May 12, 1855 NY) 
and James A (born abt 1852 NY).

Russell R. Chapman (born 1815/16 NY, died February 1900 Fergus Falls, MN) had 
been married first to a Nancy Marie Easton who had died in 1846. Russell and 
Nancy had five children: Angeline Naomi (1831-1833), William Riley, Mary J, 
Jane Eliza and Charles. 

Angeline married Russell (Russel) R. Chapman (recently widowed) on June 24, 
1846 at Onondaga, NY. 

Angeline and Russell had 4 children: 
Ruth Ann (born 1847/48 NY, died 1905 MN); 

Nancy Marie (born 1852 NY, died 1929 MN); 

Susan (born 1859 NY); and 

Edgar Willis (born 1866 NY, died 1919 MN).

Family found in the 1850 census living at Onondaga, Onondaga, NY: 
Russell Chapman 40, Angeline Chapman 20, William Chapman 16, Mary J Chapman 14, 
Jane E Chapman 10, Charles Chapman 4, Ruth Chapman 3. 

Found in the 1860 census living at Victory, Cayuga, NY: 
Russel Chapman 44, Angeline Chapman 31, Mary Chapman 23, Ruth Chapman 12, Nancy 
Chapman 7, Susan Chapman 1. 

The family moved west to Marshall County, Iowa. 
Found in the 1870 census living at Liscomb, Marshall, IA: 
Russel Chapman 60, Angeline Chapman 40, Nancy Chapman 18, Juina (should be 
Susan) Chapman 11, Edgar Chapman 4, Isaac Aurunrger 63, James Aurunrger 19, 
Elizabeth Trepp (should be Tripp) 35. 

Family next moved to Minnesota. 
Found in the 1880 census living at Maine, Ottertail, MN: 
Edgar Marshall 35 (son in law of Angeline and Russell), Ruth Marshall 32 
(Angeline and Russell's daughter), Warnes Marshall 14, George Marshall 12, 
William Marshall 7, Adelina Marshall 4, Myrtle Marshall 8m, (preceding were 
grandchildren of Russel and Angeline), Russel Chapman 72, Angeline Chapman 50, 
Edgar Chapman 14 (son of Russell and Angeline), Martin Stahl 38.

Angeline Auringer Chapman died November 29, 1884 at Fergus Falls, Otter Tail, 
MN and was buried at Mount Faith Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN. 

Additional Comments:
Censuses transcribed as found, obvious spelling errors not corrected. Census 
dates do not always coincide from one to the next. Also found a Janice Chapman 
(no dates) who may also be a daughter of Angeline's, haven't researched that 
nor any of the children extensively.
