He was born in Syracuse and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and National Guard. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 42 years, retiring in 2000. He is prede-ceased by his brother, James Fedele in 2002. August 12, 2004 Peter S. Graham, 65, of Syracuse, NY, died peacefully Thursday, August 12, 2004 at his home. He was the University Librarian at Syracuse University from September 1, 1998 to the present. He was a career academic librarian. Hecame to Syracuse University from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, where he was the Associate Librarian for Technical and Networked Information. He also held positions at Columbia University, Indiana University, and the Research Libraries Group. From 1959 to 1965 Graham was also an active member of the Young Peoples Socialist League in Chicago and New York City. In 1963 he worked as an assistant to Bayard Rustin, executive director of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, managing the national office in Harlem for four months. He continued to be active in social organizations; in 2002 he and his wife, Lew, were awarded the NAACP President's Award for service to the Syracuse/Onondaga County branch. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, the former Lewraine Buckingham of York, PA, a professional artist; their son, Andrew of Boston, MA; and their daughter, Rae Buckley of Carrboro, North Carolina. He is also survived by his father, Harold N. Graham and his wife, Alaine Krim; and siblings, Margaret Schultz, Vicki Graham, Emily Graham and Rocky Graham. He was born on May 5, 1915 in West Eaton, NY. He resided in Parish since 1996, previously living in Pulaski most of his life. He attended Syracuse schools and served in the U.S. Army-Air force during World War 2. He owned and operated Don's Custom Upholstery Shop in Pulaski for 20 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the VFW Post #7289, Pulaski. Survived by five sons, Donald R. Jr., Parish, Charles W., Altmar, Douglas, Pulaski, Darwin, Long Island, Paul, Chittenango; one brother, Dale, Hastings; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was born July 15, 1908 in New York City the daughter of George and Edna Reid Simonson. She received a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Mt. Holyoke College in Massachusettes. She was a homemaker. She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Bath, Naomi Circle of the Franklinville Presbyterian Church and Deposit Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Sue (Olin) Hudson of Camillus, NY and Mary (Ron) O'Connell of Deposit, NY; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; her sister, Elizabeth Mabry of Port Orange, FL and several nieces and nephews. Winans, a longtime resident of Manlius, passed into the arms of the Lord on Thursday. Edward was born in 1921 and married his high school sweetheart, Arlene Sayles, in 1941. Edward was a Navy veteran serving during WWII in the Pacific arena. Although retired in recent years, Edward was founder and former president of Bridgeport Crating Corporation. He was an active member of Eastern Hills Bible Church in Manlius and previously was a founding member of the Kirkville Community Wesleyan Church. Edward also served on the Board of the Fayetteville-Manlius Meals on Wheels. He was predeceased by his son, William O. Winans. Survivors: his wife, Arlene of Manlius; his daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Robert Julian of Fayetteville and Utica; his daughter-in-law, Beth Button Winans of Bridgeport; his granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Stefanie and Frank Mento of Fayetteville; his grandson and granddaughter-in-law, William K. and Jennifer Winans of LaFayette; and two great-granddaughters. Lee was a professor of Communications at SUNY Oswego and Le Moyne College. She did extensive volunteer work in the community and was a supporter of the arts. Her sudden loss leaves behind many friends who benefited from her wit and aplomb. She is survived by cousins in Florida, New York and Canada. A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
