Syracuse, died Friday at home. Born in Syracuse, he was a truck driver with Red Star Express for over 40 years, receiving the One Million Mile Safe Driving Award. He was a member of the Teamsters Union317, where he was Union Steward. Retiring to Sackets Harbor, he was an avid fisherman, boater and golfer. He was noted for his sense of humor and love of his dogs. Buzz was a loyal and loving husband of Arlene for 56 years, devoted father of Michael P. Busse of Manlius, Gary Busse of Chittenango and Sharon Storrier of Onondaga Hill, and doting grandfather of nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his brother Arthur of California and several nieces and nephews. Ciccinati, John August 11, 2004 John Ciccinati, 81, of Skaneateles, formerly of Rio Rancho, NM, died Wednesday, August 11. Born in Brooklyn, he was a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School. He retired as a tool and die maker for Anaheim Steel Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was past commander of VFW Post 5890 in Belen, NM. Surviving are a daughter, Laura Hopkins of Skaneateles; son, Kenneth Ciccinati of Albuquerque, NM; and four grandchildren. Cobb, Roger Ferris August 10, 2004 Roger Ferris Cobb, 63, formerly of Cazenovia, died August 10 at his home in Wilmington, NC. Roger was a wonderful, loving son, father and friend, whose contributions and presence could never be put into words. Born in Elmira, Rog-er was a graduate of Cazenovia High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961, stationed in Alaska and Texas. He resided in Cazenovia until 1996, when he relocated to Wilmington, NC. He was a self-employed professional in the floor installation industry in the Central New York and Wilmington, NC, areas for over 40 years. He was an avid enthusiast of antique and classic cars. He was an active member of the Sun Coast Cruisers, a classic automobile club located in Wilmington. Surviving are his sons, Michael (Michelle) Cobb of Raleigh, NC, and Edward Cobb of Syracuse; his daughter, Jacqueline (Tony) Upchurch of Dunn, NC; his mother, Marie F. Ross of Cazenovia; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, at the Erieville Church, the Rev. Nelson Stafford officiating. Lattanzi, Catherine Costa August 14, 2004 Catherine Costa Lattanzi, 92, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully Saturday at Iroquois Health Care Facility. She was born in Syracuse and lived here all her life. She was the widow of Peter Lattanzi, who passed away in 1960. Catherine worked atSyracuse Pottery as a decorator, applying floral patterns to pottery. She was a member of Our Lady of Pompei Church and Church of the Assumption parishes. She was active at the Court Street monastery, attending Vespers on Saturdays and cooking and baking for the nuns. Her volunteer service included many aspects of church activities and societies. She was a Grand Member of the Third Order of Franciscan Nuns of Syracuse, Franciscan Missionary Union, Perpetual Rosary Purgatorian Society and Dominican Cloister Nuns. She traveled extensively to holy shrines in Canada and the U.S. and to all the major shrines of Europe. She shared audiences with Padre Pio, and Popes John Paul I and II. Her main devotion was to the Blessed Mother Mary, whose assumption is celebrated on August 15. Her sisters, Frances and Louise, and her brothers, Tony, Louis and Philip, predeceased her. She was the daughter of Francesca and Peter Costa, who lived on the north side of Syracuse. Catherine is survived by her sister-in-law, Josephine Costa of Syracuse, and many nieces and nephews. She was a waitress at Hotel Syracuse 35 years, retiring in 1976. She was the widow of Harry Laursen, who died in 1980. A previous marriage to Frank Fiegl ended in divorce. She was predeceased by a son, Harry Frank Fiegl Sr., and a granddaughter Sheri Feigl. Survivors: three grandsons: Paul Fiegl of Pulaski, Dale Fiegl of CA and Harry Fiegl Jr. of FL; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Florence Carpenter of Syracuse; and a niece, Isabell Dahle of Pulaski. She graduated from Central High School and Syracuse Secretarial School. Arlene was a communicantof Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a 30-year member of the Corinthian Club. She was a longtime inspector for the Onondaga Co. Board of Elections. She was the widow of Francis Maloney, who died in 1990. Born in Buffalo, NY, she graduated from Millard Filmore Hospital School of Nursing and worked for an oral surgeon. After moving to Syracuse, NY,she became office manager at Meloon Foundries, where her husband was president, and retired in 1972. She had residences in Carleton Island, near Cape Vincent, NY, and Vero Beach, FL. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Nathaniel W., and by her son Thomas N.
