August 15, 2004 Albert J. Brandon, of Syracuse, died peacefully at his home, after a brief illness. Albert was born in Beaumont, Texas. He was one of the first African-Americans to attend and graduate from UCLA. He served his country as Air-borne Paratrooper of the 187th RCT and fought in the Korean War. Albert retired from New Venture Gear in 1990, after 27 years of service. He was a member of the Goodfellows Club and led the Sherman Park Bulldogs and Kirk Park Colts, accumulating nine division titles between the two associations. Preceding his death are his wife Mary E. Brandon and daughter Cynthia. Survivors: one son, Stephen (Karron) Brandon; two daughters, Crystal (Larry) Lucas, Sharon (Rodney) Archer; closest friend Ullyses Mallory; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Brown, 83, of Meridian, NY and St. Petersburg, FL, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 15, 2004 at Auburn Memorial Hospital. She was a longtime resident of North Syracuse, NY where she was the bookkeeper of the family business. She was also an active member of the North Syracuse Baptist Church where she was involved in the church choir and Sunday school. Surviving: Her husband of 65 years, James E. Brown of Meridian NY; three daughters, Saundra Aicher (Mark) of Central Square, NY, Barbara Velez (Nelson) of Charlottesville, VA, and Linda Thompson (Lawrence) of Charlotte, NC; one son, James M. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph H. Cramer in 1991 and son, Gerald W. Cramer in 1963. She was born in Syracuse and was a communicant of St. Daniel's Church, a member of the Moose Club and St. Daniel's Seniors. She was employed by the City of Syracuse School District for 18 years as a cafeteria manager. Her husband, Samuel M. Dali, passed away in 1999. Angela is survived by two sons, Richard S. A native of Syracuse, Mrs. Foster resided in Liverpool for most of her life. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool. Years ago she worked as a butcher at the Mohican Market in Syracuse and also worked at the Parkway Tavern and Emmi's Farm Stand in Liverpool. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Sr., a daughter Marlene Gordon, and a son Roy. He was a self-employed Carpenter. Mr. Janowski was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Cicero, NY. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired from Crouse Hospital where he worked in the laboratory. He was a member of the Organization of the Rebirth of Ukraine (ODWU). He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, served on the Board of Directors for the Self-Reliance Ukrainian Federal Credit Union, member of the Ukrainian National Home, Ukrainian Senior Citizens Club, the Ukrainian Congress Committee, Ukrainian National Association SICH Branch 39, founding member of the SURMA Men's Choir, and was a teacher at the Ukrainian School of Syracuse for many years. Michael was known for his oratory abilities, his humor, and his wit. He had a great zest for life and love of people and a great hope for the future. He was predeceased by his brother Mitered Archpriest Msgr. Basil Seredowych, former pastor of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, who died March 20, 1991. Survivors: his wife of 55 years, Irene; his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Mark and Laurence Seredowych of Sante Fe, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Julien and Gabrielle. Sullivan, 64, of McGraw and longtime resident of LaFayette, died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. She was a graduate of Cincinnatus Central High School Class of 1957.
