Gloria was a lifetime area resident and was devoted to her family. She retired at age 77 from Hummel's Office Plus. Her loving husband, Cosmo A. Cap-pelletti died in 1966. Surviving: one son, Cosmo Cappelletti; four daughters, Lorene Fries, Loretta Burnsed, Linda Alexander and Alice Tolhurst; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Arlene Robey of South Carolina and one brother, George Angell of Solvay. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Delaney-Greabell-Adydan Funeral Home, 241 Kinne St., East Syracuse. Cara, Maria August 17, 2004 Maria Cara (nee Rybecky), age 78, of Oberlin, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at Kendal at Oberlin from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Maria was born on November 23, 1925 in Cordoba, Argentina. The daughter of Czechoslovakian immigrants, she traveled widely and was fluent in Czech, Spanish and English. She lived in Syracuse, Long Beach, and Rockville Center, New York, before moving to Oberlin, Ohio, in 1996. Maria was a member of the Saint Agnes Parish in Rockville Center, where she lived for 24 years. She was an avid gardener, a wonderful cook and seamstress, and most of all a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Maria is survived by her daughters, Ana Cristina Cara of Oberlin and Patricia Graciela Cara of San Juan, Puerto Rico; her sons, Dr. Jose Francisco Cara of Grosse Pointe Park, MI and Carlos Alberto Cara of Lawrenceville, NJ; and by her 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ana Alfonso of Cordoba, Argentina, and her brother, Carlos Rybecky of Cordoba, Argentina. Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jose Cara in 1996 and her brother, Juan Rybecky, in 1977. A mass will be celebrated in her honor at Sacred Heart Church in Oberlin, Ohio on Sunday morning, September 19, 2004 and a memorial service held the same day at 2:30 p.m. at Kendal at Oberlin. She was a secretary for General Electric Co. and traveled for them to several countries. Member of the St. Street United Methodist Church, was an avid bowler, Phoenix Take Off Pounds Sensibly, and was a sports fan. Anna was predeceased by a son, Orley E. Fleming and a granddaughter, Birdy Fleming. Surviving: husband, Leonard W. Fleming of Palermo; daughter, Susan Mintonye of Newport, PA; sons, John A. (Cindy) Fleming and Jim A. Fleming, both of Fulton; brother, Jesse Yardley of Fulton; 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was born in Syracuse and was a graduate of Convent School, attended SUNY Stony Brook and was a graduate of Oswego State University. Shehomesteaded in the Yukon Territories and later worked for a lumber company in Olympia, WA, returning to Parish in 1978. She was employed with B.G. Sulzle Company and later with Agway Farm Supply. She owned and operated Labrador Sheep Farm. She was founder of the LAMB Co-op and active with the NYS and National Sheep and Lamb Growers Association. She retired in 2001 from Home Depot, Dewitt, because of her illness. Survived by her husband, Douglas of Parish; her mother, Margaret S. Gang, E. Syracuse; three sisters, Linda T. Gang, E. Syracuse; Gretchen D. Novak, Phoenix, NY; and Heidi Rodriguez, Pompey; a brother, Eric J. Gang, Syracuse; grandmother, Loretta Gang, Syracuse; four nieces; three nephews. Tucker, Eugene L. August 17, 2004 Eugene L. Tucker, 74, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday. Born in Lockport, New York, he graduated from Lockport High School in 1948. After attending the General Motors Institute for two years, he served two years with the U.S. Army including service in Korea. He was married in 1953 and settled in the Syracuse area. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1960 with a B.F.A. in Architecture. He was employed by several architectural firms in the area, retiring in 1986 from his position as Chief Architect at Sargent, Webster, Crenshaw & Folley, Architects. He served two terms on the East Syracuse-Minoa School Board and was active in the Band Boosters and Sports Boosters at the school, as well as in the Minoa-Kirkville Athletic Association and the Onondaga Model Aircraft Club. He was also a member of the Fayetteville Senior Center. He is survived by his wife, A. Jean Tucker; his daughter, Rebecca J. Hernandez of Owego; his son, Matthew Tucker of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Eric, Michael, and Jessica Hernandez, all of Owego; one sister, Audrey Schotz of Lockport; two brothers, Edwin of Lockport and William of Apple Valley, California; and many nieces and nephews.
