Born in LaTrobe, PA, October 15, 1928, she was formerly of New Jersey and had lived in the Phoenix area for eight years. She attended Syracuse schools and graduated with a major in his-tory from Syracuse University. She was office manager for DelMonte Foods and Food Enterprises in Fairlawn, NJ, retiring in 1996. Jean married Neil A. Briggs in 1970, and he died of cancer in 1998. She was a member of the Rotary Club of Syracuse. Surviving is her son, Neil Briggs Jr. of Phoenix. Buss, William C. August 28, 2004 William C. Buss, 43, of Lacona, died Saturday, August 28, 2004, at the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown, after a sudden illness at home. Born in Syracuse, he had lived in the town of Hastings most of his life before moving to Lacona about three years ago. He was a truckdriver for Arley Wholesale Co., Liverpool, and had previously worked as security at Tri-State Auto Auction, Cicero. Surviving are his parents, James Buss of Mallory and Joanne Buss of Hastings; two sisters, Lee Dunham of West Monroe and Theresa Pinero of Liverpool; a stepbrother, Todd Paterson of Bath, NY; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Rose was a communicant of St. Peter's Church and a member of the Young At Heart Society. She was predeceased by her husband Domi-nic in 1978 and her son Donald in 2004. Surviving are one brother, Lawrence Sunser of Syracuse; one sister, Frances (Sunser) Chillemi of Liverpool; two grandchildren, Donald and Jennifer Campolieto, both of Liverpool; and several nieces and nephews. Kompf Decker, 76, of Manlius, died at Community Hospital after a long illness. A native of Syracuse, she graduated from Most Holy Rosary High School. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service and then became a homemaker.She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church, Manlius, and was a former member of its Altar Society. She was a former member and EMT of the Manlius Ambulance Corps. She was a member of the Manlius Senior Citizens Club. Survivors: her husband of 53 years, Edward E.; a son, William W. Desimone, Sal D. (Sylvester) D. Desimone August 28, 2004 Sal (Sylvester) D. Desimone, 74, of North Syracuse, passed away on Saturday unexpectedly. Born July 1, 1930, in Waterbury, CT, Sal moved to the Syracuse area at age 16. Sal was the owner of Desimone's Service located on S. Bay Rd. for many years.He also worked at GE and has enjoyed many years of retirement. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church and a 4th degree Bishop Curley Knight of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn Desimone; two daughters, Darlene (Ron) Grethel and Danette Desimone; a son, Ernest Desimone; a stepson, Commander Robert Moak II, USNR; his loving canine, Jimmy; two brothers, Ernest L. of No. Syracuse and William of Ocala, FL; a brother-in-law, Don Plantz; seven grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Wright Feil, 90, of Syracuse, died Saturday at Birchwood Health Care Center. She was born in Perry, NY, and resided in Syracuse most of her life. Mrs. Feil had worked for the Community Chest and in the accounting department ofthe YMCA. She was a former member of the Pastime Athletic Club, was an avid bowler in several leagues and also enjoyed golfing. Her husband of 52 years, Francis A. "Frank" Feil, predeceased her on January 25, 2001. A brother, George, was declared missing in action during WWII and a sister, Lillian Yost, predeceased her on March 17, 1994. Surviving are her daughter, Teri L. (Ed) Perry of Liverpool, and a grandson. Ruth was born on January 16, 1920, in Malden, MA, the daughter of Harold Archi-bald and Emma Fairfield Kilpatrick. She moved to Canastota with her two daughters from her beloved New England upon her marriage to Forster H. Moore in 1947. Mr. Moore died in 1983.
