Balduzzi, Jane (Stabelini) December 6, 2004 Jane (Stabelini) Balduzzi, 91, of Solvay, passed away Monday at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Italy, she moved to Kirkville in 1917, before moving to Solvay where she lived for over 50 years. Jane was a waitressat several area restaurants including EW Edwards and Son Dept. Store in the Tea Room for several years, retiring at age 68. She was a member of the Geddes Seniors, the West Side Seniors and was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis in 1963 and her son, Richard in 1995. Surviving are a grandson; Nino Balduzzi, of Boston, MA; brother-in-law, Richard Balduzzi, of Syracuse; sister-in-law, Mary Giemza, of Westvale, several nieces and nephews. Carruthers, Robert Burns December 8, 2004 Robert Burns Carruthers died on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Mr. Carruthers was born in Syracuse, New York on July 2, 1919. He is survived by his loving wife, Ellen (of Albany); his sister, Dorothy Carruthers; a niece, Dorothy Krausnick; great-nephews, Matthew and David Krausnick (all of Syracuse), and cousins, Thomas and Gerald McMahon and Carlton Dence. Born in Manlius, Mr. Combs was a resident of Chittenango 40 years. He was employed as a foreman in Quality Control at the former Accurate DieCasting in Fayetteville for 30 years and for 10 years at Production Products in E. Syracuse retiring in 2000. He was also employed at the former Fayetteville Bowl for 20 years Mr. Combs served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the William Cain American Legion Post 1287 in Chittenango. Surviving are his wife of 48 years the former Theresa Grevelding; three daughters, Lorrie (Steve) Kilian of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Cindy (Gary) Thompson and Linda Combs both of Chittenango; two brothers, William Combs of Manlius and Frank Combs, Jr. of Cazenovia; a sister, Betty Morley of Oriskany Falls; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. December 7, 2004 Genevieve A. Crisafulli, 86, of Fulton, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at home. The loving wife of the late Joseph Crisafulli, her husband and sweetheart of 66 years, she was a lifelong Fulton resident. Mrs. Crisafulli was a homemaker and stay-at-homemother who loved children so much, that after her own were grown, she served as a lunch aide at Lanigan School for many years. Accomplished at crocheting, she crocheted lovely blankets for all of her children and grandchildren and even some of her great-grandchildren. Proud of her Polish heritage, she never heard a Polka she didn't want to dance to. Mrs. Crisafulli was a communicant of St. Michael's Chapel, Fulton and a member of both St. Michael's Altar & Rosary Society and Court Pere LeMoyne, Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a member of the P.L.A.V. Auxiliary, Fulton. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, and her brothers, Edward and Walter Heretyk. Mark was born in Syracuse on January 12, 1967, a son of The Rev. Paul and Peggy Smith Joslyn. He attended school in Burnt Hill-BallstonLake School, and then in Clinton, NY, where he graduated from high school. After that he studied plumbing and building construction in Syracuse. In 1996, Mark and Susan Putman were united in marriage in the Liverpool Presbyterian Church. Their love resulted in two children, three year old, Natalia Rose Joslyn, and one year old, David Quinn Joslyn. Mark was a devoted and loving husband and father. Mark was employed in commercial construction primarily in the Washington D.C. area. Born in Fitchburg, Mass., he was a resident of E. Syracuse for 47 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and served overseas in the 45th infantry division of the Thunderbirds. He was commander of the VFW James F. Ray Post #3352 and former commander of the DAV association. He retired from Crouse Hinds in 1982 after 32 years of service and was a coach for the Babe Ruth Little League for over 25 years in E. Syracuse. He was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church and a member of the LaPieta prayer group. Rookey, 68, of 6891 Stevens Road, Jordan, died Tuesday in Crouse Hospital. Born in Oswego, Dr. Rookey lived several years in Little York before moving to Jordan in 1999. He was a graduate of SUNY Brockport. He earned a Mas-ter's Degree from the University of Rochester and a doctorate in education from the University of Buffalo. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa. Dr. Rookey was employed by the Syracuse City School District where he was principal of Nottingham High School and later he served as Director of Facilities Planning before retiring in 1991. Following retirement from the Syracuse School District, he and his wife Carole founded Rookey Associates, an education consulting firm. Dr. Rookey was past president of Council of Educational Facilities Planners International. He was past chairman of the Syracuse Chapter of the American Cancer Society's Man to Man program. Dr. Rookey was an Eagle Scout and he worked as a volunteer with the Boy Scout program for several years. He also served on the Rochester area YMCA Board of Directors. He was a certified scuba diver instructor. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Jordan where he was a cantor. Surviving are his wife, the former Carole Myers; children, Ernest W. (Barbara) Rookey of Jackson, NJ, Craig P. (Hallie) Rookey of Little Rock, Ark., and Lorene M.
