Cimbal, Amelia December 16, 2004 Amelia Cimbal, of Jamesville, went home to be with the Lord on December 16, 2004, after a five-year illness. Amelia was an artist and also loved dancing and taught ballroom dancing. Her husband John J. died in 1984. Amelia previouslyworked for GE. It is an amazing sense of pure joy to know that she is in heaven now. We know without a doubt that she is with Jesus because we were fortunate enough to hear her accept the free gift of salvation given by Jesus' death and resurrection from the cross. The Bible is so clear when it states Jesus' words, "I am the way and the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father but through me." (John 14:6) We watched her as she came to know that this was about her personal relationship with Jesus Christ and not any religion or anything that she could do to make herself good enough to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. God gives us a choice and God have her a choice, and she chose to accept him into her heart and receive his gift of eternal life. The Bible says, "For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that none can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9) Amelia (we called here Mickey; her great-grandchildren called her Grammy) and all who believe are so relieved that Christ loved us so much that he paid the price for us so we don't have to be "good enough" in order to have eternal life. So for us, her family and friends who are still here on this earth, there is no greater gift she could have given to us all who loved her so deeply, than to know without a doubt that when we make the choice to accept the free gift salvation, the very reason for the season we are in the midst of, we will see her again. Our tears are not of sadness, but of joy for her; she is home! She is survived by her two sons, John D. (Nancy) of Camillus, Denis J. (Jane) of Winchester, VA; one daughter, Sandy Cimbal Range of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
