December 18, 2004 Floyd G. Adsit, of Sherburne, died Saturday at his home.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Faith Baptist Tabernacle,

Bell, William H.   
December 17, 2004 William H. Bell, 58, died Friday at his home in Quechee, VT.
Born October 26, 1946, in Allentown, PA, a son of H. William and Betty Bell,
he graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School and from Syracuse
University. He later received his master's degree in computer science from
Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN. He has lived in Vermont for several
years and has worked as a computer designer and drafter at Vermont Castings in
Bethel, VT. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and also was
an accomplished woodcarver, having won awards for waterfowl carvings. He is
survived by his son, Kevin H. Bell of Brooklyn, NY; his father, H. William
Bell of Las Vegas, NV; his mother, Betty Bell Hutchinson of Deerfield Beach,
FL; two sisters, Cynthia Andrews of Fabius, NY, and Keryn Piersa of West Palm
Beach, FL; a niece and a nephew. He was predeceased by a brother, Kristopher
Lee Bell. Private services were held at the convenience of the family.

December 16, 2004 Warren Brown, 79, of Cato, passed away December 16.

Burstein, Olive M.   
December 17,2004 Olive M. Burstein, 86, formerly of Hubbardsville, passed into
the hands of the Lord Friday, December 17, 2004, at Valley Manor Nursing Home,
Norwich, NY. Born July 24, 1918, in Hubbardsville, she was a daughter of Lewis
and Lena Wratten Brainard and was a graduate of Hamilton High School in 1935.
On October 16, 1937, Olive was united in marriage to Arnold Burstein in
Hubbardsville. He predeceased her on November 23, 1977. Mrs. Burstein was a
lifelong Hubbardsville resident and a member of East Hamilton United Methodist
Church. She was a former member of the Hubbardsville Home Bureau. Surviving
are her daughter, Mrs. Donald (Sharon) Boise of Smyrna; three sons: Norman
(Helen) Burstein of Morrisville, Ronald Burstein of Hamilton and Kenneth
(Jane) Burstein of Hubbardsville; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren;
one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will
be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2004, from Burgess & Tedesco Funeral
Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY, followed by interment in Graham Cemetery,
Hubbardsville. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home today from 7 to
9 p.m. and on Tuesday from noon until the time of the service. Contributions

Chilson, Edwina M. Cayen   
December 17, 2004 Edwina M. Cayen Chilson, 62, of 4281 Abbey Rd., Onondaga
Hill, passed away Friday at her home. Born in Potsdam, she resided in Syracuse
for more than 50 years. She retired after more than 15 years from Nationwide
Insurance. She also was adedicated employee of Alterra Summerfield Villas
until her illness in April. She was a communicant of St. Michael's. Surviving
are her husband of 40 years, Howard Chilson; three daughters: Trinette Smith
of Brewerton, Tamara Fagnant of Onondaga Hill and Tracey (Scott) McKee of
Onondaga Hill; two grandchildren, Kristen and Thomas Smith; two brothers,
Lloyd Cayen of Bridgeport and Paul Cayen of Camillus; two sisters, Darlene

December 18, 2004 Joyce L. Cronk, 50, of Sodus, formerly of Syracuse, died
suddenly December 18, 2004. Joyce is survived by her husband, Ronald Cronk II;
daughter, Anne Cronk; brothers, Robert Martineau of FL, John (Linda) Martineau
of Cicero, Steve Martineau of VA and Eric (Randy) Martineau of MO; mother- and
father-in-law, Laura and Ronald Cronk of Minoa. Family and friends are invited

Cummings, Rita A.   
December 17, 2004 Rita A. Cummings, 83, of Garden City Dr., Mattydale, died
Friday at Crouse Hospital. A native of St. Anicet, Quebec, Mrs. Cummings
resided in Mattydale since 1945. She graduated as valedictorian from Fort
Covington High School in Up-state, NY, the Central City Business Institute and
attended University College. During WW II, she worked for the L.C.
Smith-Corona Typewriter Co. in Syracuse and for the Community War Fund in
Washington, DC, while her husband was stationed at the Pentagon. She returned
to Syracuse when he was sent overseas. For the next 20-plus years, she pursued
the primary value of her life as wife and mother of five. She returned to the
work force as the library secretary at North Syracuse High School in 1969 and
retired in 1981. Mrs. Cummings was a retired member of the New York State
Association of Educational Office Professionals and the National Association
of Educational Office Personnel. She was the past president of the North
Syracuse Association of Educational Secretaries. She was also a member of the
Institute of Retired Professionals and a former Red Cross volunteer. She was a
communicant of St. Margaret's Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary
Society. Surviving are one daughter, Rosemary (Charles) Metzler of W. Seneca,
NY; three sons: Carleton Jr. (Beverly) of Houston, TX; Frank (Dorothy) and
John, of Mattydale; three brothers: Roland Richer and Arthur Richer of Tupper
Lake, NY, and Leonard Richer of Clay; six grandchildren; and 13
great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Carleton Sr. in 1981;
a daughter Carol Anne Franklin in 1984; and three brothers: Marcel in 1994,
Herbert in 1988 and Hervie in 2004. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. today at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, and 7 to 9
p.m. Tuesday at Richer Funeral Home, Park St., Tupper Lake. Funeral services

Fullmer, Bruce E.   
December 17, 2004 Bruce E. Fullmer, 49, of Acworth, died Friday, December 17,
2004. Mr. Fullmer was born in Syracuse, New York, and came to Cobb County in
1993. He was employed by M.S.C. Supply as a sales representative. Survivors
include his wife, Nancy Fullmer of Acworth; two daughters, Corinne M. West of
Woodstock and Kelly E. Fullmer of Acworth; two sons, Drew E. Fullmer and Troy
H. Fullmer, both of Acworth; parents, Bruce and Dorothy Fullmer of Sun City,
AZ; one sister, Donna C. Fullmer, and one brother, Paul D. Fullmer, both of
Glendale, AZ; two grandchildren, Ramsey West and Mahogani West, both of

(Senglaub) Parsons December 18, 2004 Emily Louise Parsons, 86, formerly of 108
Roxboro Circle, Mattydale, passed away Saturday at Van Duyn Home and Hospital.
Emily retired in 1981 after over 20 years of employment with the former First
Trust and Deposit Bank and Key Bank. She was a communicant of St. Margaret's
Church. Her husband, Leo Joseph Parsons, predeceased her in 1992. Emily is
survived by her daughters, Colette Parsons and Cynthia Parsons, both of

Patterson, Deborah S.   
December 18, 2004 Deborah S. Patterson, 51, of North Syracuse, died Saturday,
December 18, at her home. A native of Syracuse, she was a 1971 graduate of
North Syracuse High School and a 1975 graduate of SUNY Oswego. She was a
member of Luther MemorialLutheran Church and was an elementary school
substitute teacher for the North Syracuse schools. Surviving are her mother,

Pfohl, Edward O.   
December 17, 2004 Edward O. Pfohl, 86, of Baldwinsville, died Friday at
Syracuse Home Assoc. He was born in Syracuse and lived in the Baldwinsville
area all his life. He owned and operated Indian Springs Manufacturing,
Baldwinsville, for many years before retiringin 1985. Edward was very active
in the Freemasons, such as past master of the F. & A. M. Seneca River Lodge
#160 in Baldwinsville, past patron of the Eastern Star Chapter #219, Tigris
Shrine of Liverpool, Red Cross of Constantine, Royal Arch Masons and the Lodge
Council Chapter Consistory. He was also active at First Presbyterian Church in
Baldwinsville, where he once served as a deacon. Survivors: his wife of 64
years, Helen M.; two daughters, Nancy A. Sauro of Baldwinsville and Patricia
M. Ferguson of Pulaski; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; cousins;

December 18, 2004 Irene Staniszewski, 78, of East Syracuse, died on Saturday
at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a retired assembler at General Electric, a
communicant of Transfiguration Church and a member of the Local 320. She is
survived by a sister, PeggyPolochy of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
