Albanese, Laurence J. "Larry"   
Albanese December 28, 2004 Laurence "Larry" J. Albanese, 58, of Skaneateles,
passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday. Born in Syracuse, he was a life resident
of the Syracuse area. Mr. Albanese served in the U.S. Air Force and received
the Vietnam Service Medal. Larry worked atthe Onondaga County Sheriff's
Department in the Custody Department as rank of Captain for 33 years,
receiving the medal of distinction, and was also a program director. His
parents, Lawrence and Mary Albanese, predeceased him. Survivors: his wife of
35 years, Gina Lucci Albanese; sisters, Antonette (Cosmo) Recuparo and Mary
Ann (Edward) Strohmayer; nieces, Tina Craig (Chris Ousby), Debra (Mark) Balta,
Karen (Ethan) Yonkers, Lisa Kurnik, Mary Lynn (David) Mailloux, and nephew
Cosmo Recuparo; several great-nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.
Services: Calling hours Sunday 3 to 6 p.m. at FARONE & SON. A funeral Mass
will be celebrated on Monday, 10 a.m., at the Cathedral of Immaculate
Conception (downtown). In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your
favorite charity in Larry's memory.

Allen, Susie J.   
December 27, 2004 Susie J. Allen, 70, a resident of Loretto, died Monday at
University Hospital. Her husband, John H. Allen, died in 1991. Surviving are
her daughters, Susie Thompson, Roberta Faulker, Sally Amo, Kathleen Schoeck,
Brenda Hill, Molly Brewer, and a son Robert Allen. She had 24 grandchildren
and several great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. on Friday,
December 31, in the Loretto Chapel, 700 E. Brighton Ave., Syracuse.

December 28, 2004 Donald C. Becker, Sr., 72, of Kirkville, NY, died Tuesday.
Donald was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict, had worked in City of
Syracuse Fire Department Maintenance Garage and retired in 1991 from Syracuse
Department ofPublic Works after 22 years of service. He enjoyed Country Music.
Survivors: His wife of 50 years, the former Patricia Ann Daggett; three
daughters, Marie (Bob) Tackman of Elbridge, NY, Cindy Minor (Jimmy) Hanna of
Weedsport, NY, Gerry (Dave) Hanna of Auburn, NY; four sons, George (Donna) of
Weedsport, NY, Kevin (Sue) of Springfield, MA, Ronald (Kelly), Manlius, NY,
Don (Lisa); two sisters, Nola Reeves of West Monroe, NY, Diane Wallingford of
Cazenovia, NY; one brother, James Ferguson of Manlius, NY; 18 grandchildren;

December 24, 2004 Daniel H. Case, 82, of Naples, FL went to his eternal home
December 24, 2004. He was born in Alene, NY on November 12, 1922, son of the
late Horace and Nina (nee Tuller) Case. Mr. Case is survived by his loving
wife, Leona (nee Sandro); his son, Larry (Margaret) Case of Canastota, NY; two
daughters, Dawn (Daniel) Royle of Elmira, NY and Carol (Vern) Lasher of
Bridgeport, NY; brother, Warren (Barbara) Case of Canastota; sister, Eloise
Washburne of Verona, NY; sister-in-law, Joyce Case of Sherrill, wife of the
late Charles Case; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dan was employed at
Syracuse Stamping Co. and retired in 1988 after 40 years of service. A
memorial service will be held at the Fyler Community Church on Saturday,
January 8 at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Peterboro Cemetery at a later

Castleman Sr., Richard Roger   
Castleman, Sr. December 28, 2004 Richard Roger Castleman, Sr., 83 of Tucson,
formerly of Syracuse, NY and Denver, CO, passed away December 28, 2004. He was
born in Syracuse on November 13, 1921 and later married Laura Recor on April
7, 1945. During WWII, Richard served with the US Army Air Corps. In 1969 he
and his wife moved the family to Denver, CO, where he was employed by Coors
Brewing Co. before retiring in 1980. He is survived by his wife, Laura; his
children, Marsha (Rod) Schultz of Custer, SD; Richard Roger (Joanne)
Castleman, Jr., and Janice (Paul) Clayton of Aurora, CO. Richard was the proud
grandfather of six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He leaves a
brother, Charles Castleman of Syracuse and a brother-in-law, Richard Freeburg
of Tucson, AZ. Mr. Castleman was predeceased by a daughter and a grandson. A
Graveside service with military honors will be held at a later dat in Fort
Logan National Cemetery, Denver. Arrangements are by Evergreen Mortuary &
Cemetery, Tucson, AZ.

December 28, 2004 Theresa A. DiLauro, 50, of Liverpool, passed away
unexpectedly Tuesday. Born in Syracuse she was a life resident of the Syracuse
area. Theresa was the manager of The Bagel Shop Bakery and Deli located
downtown. Her father, Nicholasdied in 1972 and her mother Carmelina died in
1998. Survivors: her sister, Anne Marie (John) Gebrian of Baldwinsville;
brothers, John of Clay and Nicholas of Liverpool. Funeral services Friday 8:15

December 27, 2004 Robert J. Foresti, 77, of Solvay, passed away Monday in St.
Joseph's Hospital. He was a life resident of Solvay. Robert was a U.S. Army
veteran of World War II. He owned and operated Bob's Mechanical Service of
Solvay for 45 years. He was amember of the Tyrol Club of Solvay, the Geddes
Vet's and was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church. Surviving are his wife of
28 years, the former Frances Trovato; a daughter, Carol Hayes of California;
two sons, Robert J. Foresti of Solvay and Chuck Trovato of Liverpool; a
brother, James Foresti of Solvay; five grandchildren; one great-grandson;
several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Thursday in
Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, where a funeral
Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans
Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral

December 28, 2004 Nancy Hayes Gusty, 66, of Osborne Road, Sacandaga Park, died
Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at home following a long illness. She was born in
Troy, NY on February 26, 1938. The daughter of William and Margaret Noonan
Hayes. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. Troy and completed
her nurses training at Nathan Littauer School of Nursing. She was employed at
Samaritan and Leonard Hospitals in Troy, NY, Blue Shield, Nation Wide and the
Hartford Insurance Companies in Syracuse, NY and Big Brothers/Big Sisters for
Fulton-Montgomery County as a case manager. She is survived by two daughters,
Marureen Pelose and Ellen Gusty; a son, David Gusty; a brother, J. Robert
Hayes; a sister, Margaret Mulchay; three grandchildren, Emily, Madeline and
Louis Pelose and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother,
William Hayes. Friends may call Thursday, December 30, 2004 from 7 to 9 p.m.
at the Northville Funeral Home, 401 Bridge St., Northville. A Mass of
Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 31, 2004 at 11 a.m. at

Syracuse, died December 28, 2004. Born on February 16, 1956, in Syracuse, New
York, she moved to Bradenton in 1991. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church in
Bradenton. She is survived by her husband, Larry; son, Larry, II of Bradenton;
stepdaughter, Renita Johnson of St. Cloud, FL; mother, Lucille Hymes of
Bradenton; brother, Joseph P. Hymes of Ann Arbor, MI; and two grandchildren.

suddenly Monday at Community General Hospital. Born in Rome, NY he graduated
from CBA, attended OCC and Lemoyne College. He served with the 839th
Transportation Co. US ForcesDominican Republic in the Army. He retired from
the NY Telephone Co. He was a member of the Pastime Club, the Knights of
Columbus, and American Legion. Surviving are his mother, Eileen Rochford
Juston of Syracuse; three sisters, Margaret A. (Elliott) Lipin of Bedford, New
Hampshire, Anne Marie Myers of Richland, Missouri, Geralyn Juston of
Rochester; one daughter, Stacey; two sons, Brian and Kevin Juston all of North
Syracuse; one niece, Eilene Myers; four nephews, John and Nick Myers, Galen
and Aaron Lipin. Memorial mass 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Lourdes

Lamprecht, Judith H.   
December 24, 2004 Judith "Judy" Heltman Lamprecht, 86, of Delmar, NY, died
Friday, December 24, 2004, at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Syracuse, NY, on
February 12, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Syracuse University
Professor Harry J. Heltman and the late Helen (Caflisch) Heltman of Syracuse.
She was raised in Syracuse and was educated at the Northfield School and
Syracuse University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and a
Master of Arts in English Literature. While studying for her MA, she worked at
Syracuse radio station WOLF, where she met her future husband, Joseph
Lamprecht Jr. Upon completing her MA, she filled a maternity leave teaching
vacancy in Cooperstown. After she married, Judy was employed by Syracuse
University, first as a secretary and then as a teacher of report writing to
Army Air Corps cadets. Her husband was employed by the New York Telephone
Company, which required them to move eight times, before settling in Delmar,
where she lived for 35 years. Judy used her voice and dramatic talents,
combined with extensive professional training, to direct variety shows for the
Delmar Progress Club, the Delmar Reformed Church, several amateur theater
companies, Childs Hospital and many social groups. She sang in many church
choirs, played piano whenever needed and gave piano lessons for many years. As
a Sigma Kappa, she was a longstanding member of the Albany Pan-Hellenic
Association, serving as president several times, and for many years she
delivered "Meals on Wheels". Judy is survived by her husband of nearly 63
years, Joseph Lamprecht Jr. of Delmar; a sister, Rebecca Heltman Griffiths of
Rochester, NY; her son, Jeremy Lamprecht of Jackson Hts., NY; her daughter,
Cynthia Lamprecht Wetzell of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren, Jacqueline
Lamprecht Farley of Ramsey, NJ, Carly Lamprecht Immen of Farmingdale, NJ,
Ethan Wetzell of Minneapolis, MN, Galen Wetzell of Minneapolis, MN, Dustin
Lamprecht of Jackson Hts., NY, Travis Lamprecht of Jackson Hts., NY; and four
great-granddaughters, Aislinn Farley, Kaelin Farley, Charlotte Immen and Mary
Catherine Immen. She was predeceased by a sister Doris Heltman Fisk, a sister
Mary Heltman Malefyt, and a brother George Heltman. In lieu of flowers, the
family has requested that donations be made in memory of Judith H. Lamprecht
to the charity of your choice. Judy graciously donated her remains to the
Anatomical Gift Program of the Albany Medical College. A memorial service will

December 28, 2004 Josephine (Lanese) Leach, age 82, of Syracuse, passed away
Tuesday at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Johnston, RI and lived in the
Syracuse area most of her life. Josephine was a sales clerk at Chappell's for
14 years retiring in 1986. Herdaughter, Mary Lila Roberts died in 1994. She is
survived by two sons, James Roberts of Liverpool and Gary M. Roberts of CA; a
daughter, Norma Jean Cavallo of Albany; 10 grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Provy of Lafayette, CA and several nieces
and nephews. Private services will be held on Friday at the Pirro and Sons

away Tuesday at Pontiac Health Care in Oswego. Born in Amsterdam, NY, she
worked at Dey Brothers Clothing Store in Syracuse several years. Dorothy was a
past chairman of the Oswego County Home Bureau and a Republican election
inspector for Cicero and Onondaga County for 25 years. She was a member of
both St. Stephen's and St. Francis of Assisi Church, Bridgeport, NY. Her
husband Joseph died in 1992. She is survived by her children, Peggy (Dwight)
Stagnar and Kathy (Ron) Mikels, all of Pennellville, Betty Hinman of
Charlotte, NC, and Paul (Linda) Otts of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, Anna Penta
of California and Sarah Panniccia of Schenectady; nine grandchildren and seven

Sargeant, Arline Love   
December 28, 2004 Arline Love Sargeant, age 82, formerly of 108 Bass St.,
Liverpool, died Tuesday December 28, 2004 at Loretto. Born in Troy, a life
resident of Liverpool, she retired from the Liverpool Central Schools
cafeteria after 20 years of service. She was a 57-year member of the Liverpool
First United Methodist Church. Her husband Allan J. Sargeant died in 1978 and
her daughter Sandra "Sam" Sargeant died in 2000. Surviving are three sons,
James A. Sargeant of Beech Bluff, TN, Robert C. Sargeant of Baldwinsville, and
Brian M. Sargeant of Webster; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
At Arline's request, there are no calling hours. Funeral services are 10 a.m.
Friday at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool. Spring burial

December 27, 2004 Beatrice May Sematoski, 80 years, of Liverpool, predeceased
by her husband of 46 years, Chester Siemiatroski, passed away on Monday at her
home. She was one of 14 children born to Raymond and Goldie Petrie of Fleming,
NY.She was a North High School graduate, devoted homemaker and a retired food
service worker. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who
enjoyed gardening, crafts, and (Polka) dancing. Survived by two sons, C.
Richard Spiess of Florida, and Mark Sematoski (Linda) of N. Carolina; four
daughters, Judith Balon, Karen Keenan (Kevin) of Liverpool, Michele Smelkoff
(Joe), Janet McIntosh (Bill) of Camillus; four sisters, one brother; 10
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on
Friday, December 31 at 9 a.m. at DeWitt Memorial Funeral Home. Family and
