She was born in Mechanicsville, VA, to the late James and Ellan McKellar February 23, 1942. She attended and graduated fromschool in Mechanicsville and was a member of First Union Baptist Church in Virginia. Survivors: two daughters, Christians (Johnnie) Sherrod of Corapeake, NC, and Sherri Reeder of Syracuse; two sons, Andrew Cosby and Larry (Denise) Cosby, all of Syracuse; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends. Bonner, 94, died suddenly Monday, November 15, 2004, at home. She was a lifetime resident of Syracuse and communicant of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the P.T.A. She was a loving mother, wife, nana, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend who believed in strong family values and the power of prayer. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Bonner Sr. in November of 1993 and her grandson, Michael Bonner. Survivors: three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Helen Bonner of Richmond, VA, Edward Jr. and Mary Bonner of Greene, NY, and Richard and Mary Pat Bonner of Ft. She worked as a receptionist for 18 years with Richlard Industries in Syracuse. She also worked for several years at the snack counter of Flamingo Lanes in Liverpool. Kitty was born in Scotland on June 13, 1921 to James and Alexina Gordon. In 1944, she received recognition for entertaining thetroops of the West Scotland District with her singing. Arriving in America from Glasgow, she lived for a time on Munro Road before moving to Kastor Ave. Kitty was employed at Camillus Cutlery where she worked for over 40 years in the Personnel Department. She was remembered as the "life of the party" at company events. Kitty was a member of the Camillus-Geddes Business and Professional Women's club and she was a devoted member of the Camillus Baptist church, which she joined in 1949. Kitty was a gentle soul who loved flowers, cats, and children. She sang soprano in the church choir and participated in the Women's Society and Sunday School. She also served on the church Flower Committee. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the Camillus Baptist Church, 23 Genesee St. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus. Humphrey-Norman, Loretta Earnestine Humphrey Norman November 14, 2004 Loretta Earnestine Humphrey-Norman's life began on January 22, 1942, in Montgomery, Alabama. She was born to the late Alex and Beanie Humphrey, the fourth of six children. Most of her childhood was spent in Panama City, Florida. After high school, she married her high school sweetheart, the late Eugene Edward Norman Sr. To this union three sons were born, Eugene Edward Jr., Danny Derail (now known as Salahuddin Abdur-Raheem), and Richard Renore. Her sons and a brother Aurthur Humphrey, as well as a sister Christine Humphrey Day, survive her. At the time of her transition she was an active member of Tucker Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be Saturday 11 a.m. at Tucker Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Born in Wilkinsburg, PA, on July 28, 1925, David moved to Florida in 1983 from Camp Hill, PA, and was a sales service representative for Anaconda Wire & Cable Company. David was a graduate of Syracuse University and veteran of World War II U.S. Army Air Corps as a bombardier and reached the rank of Captain. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #2284 New Port Richey, Florida, and volunteer at the S.P.C.A. of West Pasco. McIntosh, 80, of Central Square, died Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at Birchwood Health Care Facility, Liverpool. Born in Toledo, Ohio, he had lived in West Monroe since 1969. He was an electrician from Crouse Hinds Co., Syracuse, 15 years before retiring in 1983. He was a retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, first serving in the Army Air Corps during WWII and then re-enlisting in the Air Force in 1948, serving in the Korean War and retiring in 1961. Mr. McIntosh was a member of Riverside Golf Club, Brewerton, and a member of the I.B.E.W. Local Union. He was predeceased by a stepson, Glen Payment and sisters, Loretta Musch and Marian Cisterino. McNamara, Reverend Joseph November 15, 2004 Reverend Joseph McNamara, 92, of Loretto Nursing Home, Syracuse, died Monday evening, November 15, 2004 at Loretto after an extended illness. Born September 21, 1912 in Montezuma, NY, he was the youngest of 11 chil-dren. Father Joe was originally from St. Michael's Church in Montezuma, later attending St. Andrew's and St. Bernard's Seminaries in Rochester, NY where he was ordained June 3, 1939. He served as assistant pastor at St. Mary's, Auburn, 1939 to 1943; chaplain at Cornell University from 1943 to 1946; assistant pastor at Sacred Heart pro-Cathedral in Rochester 1946 to 1947; assistant pastor at St. Charles Borromeo in Elmira Heights 1947 to 1949; chaplain at Elmira Classification Center, which served men between the ages of 16 and 21 who were headed to prison or a reformatory from 1949 to 1961; pastor of St. Anthony's Parish, Groton from 1961 to 1981. During two decades of leadership, he oversaw the building of a new church, rectory and hall. After his retirement in 1981, he remained at St. Anthony's until 1996 when he moved to St. Pius X Home for retired priests in Syracuse. In 2003 he moved to Loretto Nursing Home where he died. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Tanner, 80, of Baldwinsville, passed away at Syracuse Home Assoc. He was born in Cardiff, NY, and lived in Baldwinsville the last 47 years. Mr. Tanner worked as a mechanic at Sam Dell Dodge, where he retired from after 25 years of service. He was a WWII veteran of Normandy and The Battle of the Bulge. November 8, 2004 Robert Francis Turner, 77, passed peacefully at home in Kingman, Arizona, on November 8, 2004. He was born January 25, 1927, in N. Syracuse, NY, and graduated from Fulton High School in 1944. A WWII Navy veteran, Robert served as a corpsman in the Pacific Theater. He retired from the Town of Camillus in 1994. Wratten, longtime resident of James Street, Syracuse, died at his home on Sunday. Mr. Wratten was born in 1915 to Gladys and Clayton Wratten of DeRuyter, NY, where his father was Superintendent of Schools. Mr. Wratten attended West Point Military Academy and graduated from Colgate University in 1938. In 1939, he was married to Martha Rogers of Earlville, NY, where they eventually made their home. His wife predeceased Mr. Wratten in 1995. After WWII, Mr. Wratten took a position with the Syracuse firm of Morris Distributing Co., from which he retired, after 40 years, to enjoy extensive travel, continued study in comparative religions, and work in his apple orchard in Leonardsville, NY. Mr. Wratten will be remembered fondly and respectfully by his family, friends and associates as a "gentleman of the old school". Mr. Wratten is survived by two sons, Kingsley and Bruce, both of Leonardsville, NY; a daughter, Gail Sliter of Cooperstown, NY; two grandchildren, Aaron Wratten of Rincon, Puerto Rico, and Tiffany Sliter of Framingham, Mass.
