Mr. Aarons retired in 1997 from Anhueser-Busch, Inc., after 20 years of service. He was anavid gardener. Surviving are his wife, Farah S.; daughters, Karen Ayala, Kimberly McMahon; a son, Kenneth, Jr.; his mother, Mabel Stevenson; and sister, Doreen Stevens; 4 grandchildren. Services will be Saturday 10:30 a.m. at the Reformed Church of Syracuse. Burial will be in Collamer Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. (Hillenbrand) Cardinal, died November 9, 2004 of complications from a fall which broke her hip. Born November 14, 1916, Irene grew up on Syracuse's north side at 129 Ross Park. In 1938 she was married to the late J. Eddy Cardinal, they were married for 42 years. They moved to 1331 Mantucket Rd. in Rochester to open new sales territory for Syracuse's Delevan Corp. and later Mead Corp. manufacturing corrugated shipping containers. Irene was a member of St. John the Evangelists Church for 63 years. She gave selflessly her whole life to her husband and family and delighted in her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Survived by children, Carolyn, formerly SSJ, Crestone, CO, Sharon Whittemore, Escondido, CA, Thomas (Christine) Rochester, NY, Stephen (Debbie), McLean, NY, Catherine (Fred) Vrabel, Carlsbad, CA, Lawrence (Kathy), Sebastapol, CA, Anne (Keith) Manmiller, Temple, PA; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, John Hillenbrand of Syracuse; sisters-in-law, Helen Hillenbrand of Tacoma, WA, Eileen St. Pierre of Clemmons, NC, Maureen Manning of Poughkeepsie, NY, nieces and nephews. Born in Toledo, Illinois, her family moved to NY when she was a child. She lived the majority of her life at the family home in Mattydale since 1950. She was past president of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers at St. Margaret's RC Church and a member of the Mattydale Hinsdale Senior Citizens. Her sons Richard and Charles, along with her husband Syr. PD Det. Sgt. George "Kap", all predeceased her. Surviving are her children, James and Mary of Mattydale; two grandchildren, Nathan and Peggy; their mother Jodi Kappesser of Syracuse; a brother, Ken Stayton of Moravia; and many nieces and nephews. Member RACES for Oswego County, Fulton Radio Club, Amateur Call KY2F, and former member of RAGS. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Helen Swiatlowski, in 1949.
