Allen, Rhoda J.   
October 10, 2004 Rhoda J. Allen, 51, of 318 Primo Avenue, Sherrill, passed
away peacefully with her loving family by her side at the Oneida Healthcare
Center. Born in Canastota on November 27, 1952, she was the daughter of Stuart
and Jean Hatch Wesseldine. A lifelong resident of the area, Mrs. Allen
graduated from Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Central School, Class of 1970. She
married Robert Allen on February 3, 1973, at St. John's Episcopal Church in
Oneida. Mrs. Allen devoted her life as a housewife and mother to her family.
She was very involved with the Sherrill Youth Center and was of the Protestant
faith. Surviving besides her husband Robert is her mother, Jean Wesseldine of
Sherrill; three daughters and one son-in-law, Amy L. Allen of Sherrill, Beth
Allen-Taylor and Nicholas Taylor of Oneida, and Kelly M. Allen of Sherrill;
one son, Keith M. Allen of Sherrill; two brothers and two sisters-in-law,
Ralph and Betty Wesseldine of Sherrill, and Charles and Judy Wesseldine of
Oneida Castle; one grandson, Kayden Allen; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral
Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with the Reverend Diane Pearl
officiating. Interment will be made at the convenience of the family in Valley
View Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday
prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory
may be made to the Children's Hospital at University, c/o University Hospital,
750 East Adams Street, Syracuse, NY 13202. Envelopes for this fund may be

Boyle, Eileen   
October 7, 2004 Eileen Boyle, 84, of Syracuse, died Thursday, October 7. Born
in Liberty Center, Ohio, she was the widow of Edward Boyle who died in 1968.
Her sons, Michael of Syracuse and Danny of TX, survive her. Services 9:30 a.m.
Wednesday at the Greenleaf Funeral Home, 503 W. Onondaga St. in Syracuse.

Burton, Donald C.   
October 10, 2004 Donald C. Burton, 63, of East Syracuse, died Sunday at St.
Joseph's Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of East Syracuse. Retired in
1996 after 33 years with Bristol. Navy veteran of Vietnam War, communicant of
St. Matthew's Church, East Syracuse,member of American Legion Arthur Butler
Post 359. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and woodworker. He was a devoted
Yankee and SU fan. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Erma; three
brothers, John "Jack", William and James; two sisters, Patricia Johnson and
Maureen Bisnett Wheelock. Surviving his wife of 44 years the former Patricia
Hamann; three sons, Patrick (Victoria) of Syracuse, Donald (Denise) of Long
Island and Terry (Christine) of East Syracuse; two daughters, Kelly (Anthony)
Carlucci and Shelle (Thomas) Burton both of East Syracuse; two brothers,
Michael of East Syracuse and Walter "Peter" of Syracuse; three sisters,
Margaret "Peg" Marino of East Syracuse, Roberta "Bonnie" Murphy of Syracuse
and Colleen Condolora of Schenectady; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and
nephews. Services 8:30 a.m. Thursday from Delaney-Greabell-Adydan Funeral Home
and 9 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church. Burial St. Mary's Cemetery Minoa. Calling

October 11, 2004 Jim Curley, 78, of Utica, passed away Monday, October 11,
2004 at his home with his family by his side. Surviving are four daughters,
Donna Curley-Izzo of Redwood City, CA, Anne (Pipsy) Connors and her husband,
Brian of Niskayuna, Mary (Mae) Pensero and her husband, David of Oswego, NY
Constance (Connie) Clancy of Oswego, NY; and one son, Mark Curley of Bath, NY.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at
Nunn & McGrath Funeral Directors, 470 French Road, Utica. Funeral services
will be Thursday at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home and 11 a.m. from the
Church of Our Lady of Lourdes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Remembrances in Jim's name

Czerow, Beulah M.   
October 11, 2004 Beulah M. Czerow, 90, a resident of 1483 Rathburn Rd.,
Oswego, died October 11, 2004, at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton. Born in
Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Calkins) Hull. She
was a homemaker. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church
and a member of its women's club for many years. She enjoyed crocheting,
cooking and her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Czerow, in
1987. Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia M. Nacey of Oswego; one son, Thomas A.
(Barbara) Czerow of Oswego; six grandchildren, Debra Hogan, Bonnie Perfetti,
Christopher Nacey, Timothy Czerow, Scott Nacey, Paul Czerow. She was "grama
boo" to seven great-grandchildren, Chad and Jenny Perfetti, Matthew and Adam
Hogan, Nicholas, Merritt, and Kaitlyn Czerow; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual
Help Church, Minetto. Burial in St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hours 4 to 7
p.m. Wednesday at Nelson Funeral Home, 124 West Fifth St., Oswego. Donations

October 11, 2004 William R. Hart Sr., 67, of Hannibal, died Monday. He was a
self-employed construction laborer and owned a tree removal service. He was an
Army veteran and member of Prior Stock American Legion Post 1552, Hannibal.
Surviving are his wife, Wendy (Seeber) Hart of Hannibal; children, Chad and
Eric Griffis of Hannibal, Penny Hart of North Syracuse, and William Hart Jr.
of Hannibal; sisters, Betty Beaty and Susan Ernestine, both of Hannibal;
granddaughter, Aryel Griffis; nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be

Kies, Dewey A.   
October 10, 2004 Dewey A. Kies, 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday
surrounded by his close friends. Born in Syracuse, he was a lifetime resident
of Liverpool. He was an employee of JGB Enterprises, Inc., Liverpool, and was
formerly employed by the Budweiserand Colony Liquor Distributors in Liverpool.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Dewey is survived by his
companion of eight years, Doreen A. Donnelly, and many wonderful friends
including Diane Primerano and Bob Britt. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m.
Wednesday with a service to follow at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St.,

Kunder, Richard F.   
October 10, 2004 Richard F. Kunder, 87, of Syracuse, died October 10. He was
born and raised in Richmond Hill and later moved to Manhattan. He graduated
from Stuyvesant High School and from the City College of N.Y. with a Civil
Engineering degree. Mr. Kunder worked at the Museum of Natural History and for
the Corps of Engineers. In 1943 he joined Pitometer Associates, Consulting
Engineers monitoring water systems throughout the country and Canada. From
1953 to 1963 he conducted Pitometer's Annual underground leakage survey in
Syracuse. When in 1964 Elan Stewart retired as the city's Water Engineer, he
succeeded him and held that position until his own retirement in 1984. He is
survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie Biehl Kunder; his brother, Lawrence of
Micco, Florida; Rev. Joseph F. Kane and the St. Andrew and Loretto
Communities. Services Tuesday 11 a.m. in St. Andrew the Apostle Church.
Interment Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Friends
may call at the church Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Contributions to L'Arche,

October 10, 2004 Arlene Leipsic, 83, a life-resident of Syracuse, died Sunday.
Arlene was a sales associate for CVS Pharmacy. She was predeceased by her
mother, Rose in 1965, and her father, Esmond in 1966. Survived by her brother,
Dr. Robert Leipsic; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Services and Burial

McCormick, Alberta J.   
October 10, 2004 Alberta J. McCormick, 75, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday
at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Ontario, Pennsylvania, she graduated from
Bentleyville High School. She was a member of the Syracuse Contract Bridge
Club and Life Master of the American Contract Bridge League. Mrs. McCormick
was a member of the Suburbanites and a founding member of Des Carte.
Survivors: her husband of 56 years, James R. "Jerry" McCormick; a daughter,
Geri (Bill Jones) McCormick of Rochester; a son, Jim (Mary) McCormick of
Manlius; a sister, Marie Kramer of Cokeburg, PA; a brother, Frank Bozich of
Cokeburg, PA; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces

October 10, 2004 Alfred R. Myers, 71, of Fulton, died Sunday after a brief
illness. He was born in Mexico, Maine. He retired from Suburban Propane,
Phoenix, in 1995 after 36 years of service. He was Past Commander of VFW
Memorial Post 5540, Phoenix. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Arlene
(Hurlbut); son, Richard C. (Diane) Myers of Syracuse; daughter, Suzanna M.

Neimeier, Linda A.   
October 10, 2004 Linda A. (Burlingame) Neimeier, 59, of Phoenix, passed away
unexpectedly at her home on October 10, 2004. She was a native of the Syracuse
area and attended high school in North Syracuse where she married her high
school sweetheart. After high school, she became a full time stay-at-home
mother and raised five children. She was an active member and past president
of the Lysander Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Most recently, besides
visiting her children and grandchildren out of state, she was an avid crafter
and heirloom quilt maker. Survived by her husband of 42 years, Edward; five
children, Mary Beth McArdell of Baldwinsville, Marsha Killoran, Eddie and
Michael, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Matthew of Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters,
Susan Nappi of Atlanta, Mary Rattray and Jane Mcadden of Syracuse; three
brothers, Jay Burlingame of Norwich, Connecticut, Bruce Burlingame of
Syracuse, and Mark Burlingame of Richmond, Virginia; and 12 grandchildren
living in Ohio, Arizona and Baldwinsville. Calling hours will be held 4 to 7

October 10, 2004 Dora E. Pitts, 78, of Manlius, passed away at home. Cora
retired from Magnavox of Manlius. She is survived by her daughters, Anita
Wunders of E. Syracuse, Sheila Recore of Lakeport; son, Roy Pitts of
Chittenango; sister, Alice Meagher of Manlius; eight grandchildren; 23
great-granchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pritchard, Robert A.   
October 10, 2004 Robert A. Pritchard, 60, of Syracuse, died Sunday at home. A
native of Philadelphia, PA, Mr. Pritchard has resided in Syracuse for the past
six years. He was director of engineering at WSYT television in Syracuse. He
was a member of the Palmyra String Band in Palmyra, NJ, and the Society of
Broadcast Engineers. He was an Amateur Radio Enthusiast with the call letters
K3LRE. Survivors: his wife, Cathryne Lynn; two daughters, Jessica Pritchard of
Rochester and Crystal (Steve) Miklosovic of Ware Shoals, SC; a son, William
(Kim) Gardner of Linfield, PA; a brother, Freddy of Philadelphia, PA; his
mother-in-law, Cathryne D. Felip of Syracuse; two grandchildren, Alex Gardner
and Todd Pritchard. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the
Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home, 7191 East Genesee Street, Fayetteville.

September 23, 2004 Catherine E. Sawyer, 83 of Hooksett, NH, formerly of
Constantia, NY died September 23, 2004 in Hooksett, NH. She was born April 4,
1921 in Ellisburg, NY, the daughter of Harlow and Ruth (Schuemaker) Butler.
Mrs. Sawyer was a member of the V.F.W., where she was a life-member of the
Ladies Auxiliary to the V.F.W., a lifetime member of the Military Order of
Devil Dog Fleas Marine Corps League Auxiliary, Inc., and a member of the
American Legion. Her husband, Kaylon Sawyer; a daughter, Sandra Thompson and a
son, Frank Thompson predeceased Mrs. Sawyer. Surviving her are a son, Edward
E. Thompson of Henderson, NY; a daughter, Penelope A. Thompson of West Monroe,
NY; two brothers, Richard Butler of Reno, NV and Charles Butler of Hannibal,
NY; four sisters, Myrtle Albert of Niceville, FL, Harriet Green of Dallas, TX,
Marjorie Butler of Baldwinsville, NY and Sylvia Williams of Watertown, NY;
several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces,
nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 17, at 1
p.m., at the V.F.W., Route 49, Constantia, NY. Contributions can be made to
the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Constantia, NY, or the Marine Corps League

October 11, 2004 Emeric R. Terek, 76, of Oswego, died Monday at Pontiac
Nursing Home. Born in Syracuse, he was employed by the City of Syracuse Dept.
of Public Works. He was an Army veteran of WW II. Surviving are several nieces
and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Stephen and Albert, and
sisters, Ann and Regina. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at
Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Lou Aiello officiating.

October 10, 2004 Carol J. Walker, 62, of Liverpool, died Sunday. Born in
Auburn, she was employed as a nurse. She is survived by her husband of 33
years, Bruce M. Walker; a daughter, Rebecca H. Walker of Cicero; a son, Bruce
M. (Alison) Walker Jr. of Liverpool;her parents, William P. and Helen Netti of
Liverpool; and her sister, Ann M. Netti of Liverpool. She is also survived by
her granddaughter, Samantha Walker. Funeral services will be Thursday, October

Wigley, Erma M. (Dumas)   
October 11, 2004 Erma M. (Dumas) Wigley, 79, of Syracuse, passed away Monday
at Crouse Hospital. Born in Burke, NY she has lived in Syracuse most of her
life. Erma was a cook at many area restaurants for many years, including the
Hotel Syracuse and HotelOnondaga, retiring from St. Camillus in 1996. She was
a communicant and longtime volunteer at St. Lucy's Church. She is predeceased
by her husband, Raymond in 1990. Survivors are five sisters, Genevieve Mack,
of Pompano Beach, FL, Luella Berkin, of N. Syracuse, Wanda Rock and Neaska St.
Mary, both of Malone, and Virginia (William) Teller, of Sandy Creek; three
brothers, Clayton S., of Nevada, William P. (Sue), of Malone and Murland B.
(Jeanette), of Lakeland; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Dumas, of Lakeland, several
nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 8:15 a.m. Thursday at
Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at St. Lucy's Church, where a funeral
mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial
