Lee Memorial Hospital from kidney disease. A native of Fulton, son of the late Edward and Agnes Barry. He was a graduate of St. Mary's School, Fulton High School, Syracuse University (MaxwellSchool) with a BA in Political Science and he pursued graduate studies at SUNY Oswego, and NY University. In 1978 tp 1984 he was the Resident Clinical Director of the US Army Community Counseling Center; Bamberg; Germany, the Alcohol and Drug Program Coordinator 1973 to 1978 at US Military Academy, West Pt., NY. In the early 70's he worked for NYC's largest school District #22 when his photo appeared in every NYC subway train, and station in connection with a NY Times AD campaign. He was active in the Senior Audit programs at SUNY Oswego and Cayuga Community College having taken more than 100 courses. His interest in theater began in 1947 High School Variety Show. In 1961 he studied with Marion Rich at the New School for Social Research, NYC and later with Kermit Love the creator of Big Bird. He performed in the off-off Broadway movement in the late 60's. He performed seven roles with the Fulton Community Theater, the Red Creek Community Players, the Talent Co., Appleseed Productions, both in Syracuse and student videos and film production at Syracuse University. He was a former member of the Fulton Senior Chorus and MENSA. A certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a 46 year active member of AA. He was predeceased by his brother Edward Barry Jr. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ruth Leary Barry; sister-in-law, Carolyn Barry; three nieces, Katherine (David) Paredes, Barbara (Dennis) McCain, Elizabeth Ferris; and a nephew, Edward (Melinda) Barry III. Campbell, 69, of Eastwood, passed away Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Scranton, PA, and was a Syracuse area resident for 48 years. Tom had a passion for life and enjoyed travel. With his loving wife, Janet, they visited various places including Alaska, China, Paris and Scotland. Tom retired after 35 years as a route salesman for Wonder Bread and Stroehmann's Bakery. He was formerly employed with P.E.A.C.E., working with the Head Start Program. Recently, he was employed as a driver for the Sisters of St. Francis and was a volunteer for Disaster Services with the American Red Cross. He was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and member of the American Legion Post 1276. Tom was a Army veteran of the Korean War. His brother, James predeceased him. Bob was employed as a carpenter at New Process Gear for 21 years, retiring in 1994. He was also a woodworking instructor for OCM BOCES Adult Ed Program for several years, and a shuttle driver for Roger Burdick Dodge for four years. Bob was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the United Church of East Syracuse, a member of UAW Local 624, and a past member of the Chittenango Jay-Cees. Lyons, 76, of Baldwinsville, passed away Sunday after a brief illness at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. The daughter of Henry and Kathryn Meagher, she was born in Springfield, MAand had lived in Camillus for almost 40 years. She then lived in Hilton Head, SC for 10 years before moving to Baldwinsville in May of this year. She was a graduate of Elms College in Chicopee, MA and studied for her Masters in Psychology at Syracuse University. Barbara was a counselor at O.C.C. for ten years and worked for OnBank for many years before retiring as a manager in 1989. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Fairmount where she served as president of the Altar Rosary Society and later a communicant of St. Joseph's in Camillus. Barbara was also a volunteer at the Coastal Discovery Museum in Hilton Head. Her husband, Charles R. Lyons, passed away in 1997. A gregarious intellectual, Barbara equally loved the arts, reading, discussing current events and spending time with family and friends. Survivors: two daughters, Barbara A.
