October 16, 2004 Genevieve M. Andrek, 92, formerly of East Syracuse, NY, died Saturday, October 16, 2004, at Cameron Glen Care Center in Reston, VA. For nearly 20 years, Mrs. Andrek was a first- and second-grade teacher in the East Syracuse-Minoa school district. She taught at Fremont and Woodland elementary schools in East Syracuse. She was active in New York State United Teachers and later in the Retired Teachers Association. She also was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Fayetteville, NY. Mrs. Andrek was an alumna of Syracuse University and Bloomsburg College in Bloomsburg, PA. She was the wife of the late Michael Andrek Jr. She is survived by three daughters, Mary M. Glick of South Riding, VA, Sally Andrek of Phoenix, AZ, and Susan Andrek of Davis, CA; two sisters, Helen Ormanowski and Sister Mary Aquila of Dearborn, MI; two brothers, Chester Omichinski of Naples, FL, and Leonard Omichinski of Dearborn, MI; and four grandchildren, Nathaniel, Gabriel and Christopher Fuss and Genevieve Glick. Mrs. Andrek was born in Glen Lyon, PA, to the late Konstanty and Mary Omichinski. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 4, at St. Adalbert's Roman Catholic Church in Glen Lyon, PA. Carter, Robert Kellog October 13, 2004 Robert Kellog Carter, 71, formerly of Syracuse, NY, died Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at his home in Leesburg, Florida. He was born in Auburn as the son of the late Robert A. Carter and Katherine Carter. Surviving are his mother; five children, Randall Carter, Matthew Carter, Rodney Carter, Michael Carter, and Candace Beach; six grandchildren; one sister, Martha Jones; and one brother, Rick Carter. "Ted" Downer, 81, of 210 East Hickory Street, Canastota, died Wednesday, at the Oneida Healthcare Center, after having a heart attack at his home. He worked for Carrier Corporation in Syracuse for 33 years, retiring in 1985. Tedwas a World War II veteran, serving overseas with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He married Imogene Wright on November 6, 1954, in Canastota. Mabie, 47, of Kirkville, died Tuesday at University Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of Framlingham College, Framlingham, England and Syracuse University with a degree in electrical engineering. He was co-owner of Mabie Bros., Inc, a family owned farm equipment business in Kirkville. He was a loving husband and father, a devoted son and brother, a kind and generous friend, a trusted business associate and a true Renaissance man. Brian is survived by his wife, Susan Sprague Mabie; one son, Daniel Mabie; twin daughters, Pauline and Margaret Mabie; mother, Beryl Mabie; and one brother, Paul Mabie. October 27, 2004 James F. Perrett, 70, of Liverpool, went home to the warm embrace of his beloved Savior Jesus Christ, on October 27, 2004. He received his formal education in the Eastwood School District, graduating in 1954. He served four years reserve and two years active duty with the U.S. Navy. He retired in 1996 from Alling & Cory of Syracuse. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, in Liverpool, where his passion for praise and worship was evident in his singing. He also loved the children and worked with them in AWANA Club. He was active in the Building & Grounds Ministry. He enjoyed various bible studies, and fellowship with his brothers and sisters in Christ. He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Deborah, and his beloved son Michael, also of Liverpool. He is also survived by his brother Gordon Payne of Baldwinsville.
