Andrek, Genevieve M.   
October 16, 2004 Genevieve M. Andrek, 92, formerly of East Syracuse, NY, died
Saturday, October 16, 2004, at Cameron Glen Care Center in Reston, VA. For
nearly 20 years, Mrs. Andrek was a first- and second-grade teacher in the East
Syracuse-Minoa school district. She taught at Fremont and Woodland elementary
schools in East Syracuse. She was active in New York State United Teachers and
later in the Retired Teachers Association. She also was a member of the Church
of the Immaculate Conception in Fayetteville, NY. Mrs. Andrek was an alumna of
Syracuse University and Bloomsburg College in Bloomsburg, PA. She was the wife
of the late Michael Andrek Jr. She is survived by three daughters, Mary M.
Glick of South Riding, VA, Sally Andrek of Phoenix, AZ, and Susan Andrek of
Davis, CA; two sisters, Helen Ormanowski and Sister Mary Aquila of Dearborn,
MI; two brothers, Chester Omichinski of Naples, FL, and Leonard Omichinski of
Dearborn, MI; and four grandchildren, Nathaniel, Gabriel and Christopher Fuss
and Genevieve Glick. Mrs. Andrek was born in Glen Lyon, PA, to the late
Konstanty and Mary Omichinski. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, November
4, at St. Adalbert's Roman Catholic Church in Glen Lyon, PA. In lieu of
flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be made in her name to
The Bernardine Franciscan Sisters, 403 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, PA
19406, Attn: Tree of Life Memorial.

Carter, Robert Kellog   
October 13, 2004 Robert Kellog Carter, 71, formerly of Syracuse, NY, died
Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at his home in Leesburg, Florida. He was born in
Auburn as the son of the late Robert A. Carter and Katherine Carter. Surviving
are his mother; five children, Randall Carter, Matthew Carter, Rodney Carter,
Michael Carter, and Candace Beach; six grandchildren; one sister, Martha
Jones; and one brother, Rick Carter. Bob retired from G.A. Braun in 1996 after
35 years of service. He enjoyed golf and karaoke. Services will be private.

Coleman, John L.   
September 25, 2004 John L. Coleman, 66, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on
September 25, 2004. He was born in Fulton to John (Jack) and Margaret Coleman.
He leaves his wife, Kathryn (Welch) Coleman; three daughters, Sarah (Paul)
Jewell of Tampa, FL, Karen (Scott Martinez) Coleman of Jacksonville, FL and
Amy Coleman (Tim Logan) of Hartford, CT.; three grandchildren, Ryan, Emily and
Jack Martinez of Jacksonville, FL. A Memorial Mass will be held October 30 at
10 a.m. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Fulton. A reception will
be held on the church premises following the service. Services under the

Crannage, Joyce M.   
October 27, 2004 Joyce M. Crannage, 67, of Liverpool, passed away Wednesday.
She was born in Albany, NY, where she was a graduate of St. Peter's School of
Nursing. Joyce was a registered nurse in the Syracuse area for 45 years. She
was a communicant of St. John's Church, Liverpool. Surviving are her husband
of 44 years, Robert P. Crannage Sr. of Liverpool; sons, Robert P. Crannage Jr.
of Albuqerque, NM, Mark S. Crannage of Dover, DL, Peter M. Crannage of Park
Ridge, NJ; daughters, Lisa M. Boadway of Baldwinsville, Lori M. Harte of Clay;
brother, Howard Bennett of Schenectady; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services
9:15 a.m. Saturday at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners and 10 a.m. in

Downer, Theodore J. "Ted"   
October 27, 2004 Theodore J. "Ted" Downer, 81, of 210 East Hickory Street,
Canastota, died Wednesday, at the Oneida Healthcare Center, after having a
heart attack at his home. He worked for Carrier Corporation in Syracuse for 33
years, retiring in 1985. Tedwas a World War II veteran, serving overseas with
the U.S. Army Air Corps. He married Imogene Wright on November 6, 1954, in
Canastota. Survivors: His wife, the former Imogene Wright; four children,
Douglas and Julie Downer of Chittenango, and Debra and Joseph Farnam of
Canastota; a brother and sister-in-law, Mayfred and Connie Downer of Verona; a
brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Daniel and Dorothy Wright of Oneida; five
grandchildren, Camille Downer, Joshua Downer, Michael Downer, Ashley Downer
and Tyrell Downer; several nieces and nephews. Services: 4 p.m., Saturday,

Kaufman, Linda   
October 28, 2004 Linda Kaufman, 64, of Fayetteville, died Thursday at Crouse
Hospital. Linda was the former director for research and development at SUNY
Upstate Medical Center. She was a member of Congregation Beth Sholom - Chevra
Shas, and Syracuse Jewish Family Service, of which she was also a past
President. Survived by her daughters, Cindy and Holly; her son, Jason;
grandchildren, Evan and Adah; and her brothers, Donald and Stanley Hertan.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at birnbaum funeral chapel. Calling hour from
1 to 2 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel, 1909 E. Fayette Street. Burial will

Mabie, Brian E.   
October 26, 2004 Brian E. Mabie, 47, of Kirkville, died Tuesday at University
Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of Framlingham College,
Framlingham, England and Syracuse University with a degree in electrical
engineering. He was co-owner of Mabie Bros., Inc, a family owned farm
equipment business in Kirkville. He was a loving husband and father, a devoted
son and brother, a kind and generous friend, a trusted business associate and
a true Renaissance man. Brian is survived by his wife, Susan Sprague Mabie;
one son, Daniel Mabie; twin daughters, Pauline and Margaret Mabie; mother,
Beryl Mabie; and one brother, Paul Mabie. He was preceded in death by his
father, Gerald Mabie in 2003. Calling Hours will be held Saturday, 11:30 a.m.
to 1:30 p.m. at Kirkville United Methodist Church, 8317 Poolsbrook Road,
Kirkville. Services will be private. Burial will be in Kirkville Cemetery.

McCann, Donald James   
October 13, 2004 Donald James McCann, 82, of Oswego, died October 13, 2004. He
was employed at the Oswego Pall-Times for 25 years, and publisher of the

Michalski, Patricia Ann   
October 28, 2004 Patricia Ann (Liquory) Michalski, 51, died Thursday at
University Hospital after a year-long courageous battle with cancer. Born in
Rochester, she had lived in Syracuse since 1974. She was an office manager at
Syracuse University College of Lawclinical programs. She was predeceased by
her parents, Antoinette and Roland Liquory. She is survived by three children,
Sarah and William of Camillus, and Jessica (Casey) Keller of Syracuse. Friends
may call Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Whelan Bros. Funeral Home, 3700 W.

Perrett, James F.   
October 27, 2004 James F. Perrett, 70, of Liverpool, went home to the warm
embrace of his beloved Savior Jesus Christ, on October 27, 2004. He received
his formal education in the Eastwood School District, graduating in 1954. He
served four years reserve and two years active duty with the U.S. Navy. He
retired in 1996 from Alling & Cory of Syracuse. He was a member of Northside
Baptist Church, in Liverpool, where his passion for praise and worship was
evident in his singing. He also loved the children and worked with them in
AWANA Club. He was active in the Building & Grounds Ministry. He enjoyed
various bible studies, and fellowship with his brothers and sisters in Christ.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Deborah, and his beloved son
Michael, also of Liverpool. He is also survived by his brother Gordon Payne of
Baldwinsville. Funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Northside
Baptist, 7965 Oswego Rd., Liverpool with the service conducted by the Pastor
Bruce Aubrey. Interment will be Saturday in Jamesville Cemetery, Jamesville.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church,

Prickett, Patricia   
October 25, 2004 Patricia Patty J. Prickett, 51 of 370 N. Pendergast Rd.,
Phoenix, died at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital. She was born in Parsons, Kansas
and had been a resident of Phoenix area since 1978. She is survived by her
husband of 26 years, Robert M. Prickett Jr.; her son, Andy (Sara) Prickett of
Baldwinsville; her mother, Rae Borst of MN; four siblings, Don Borst of WA,
Bill Borst of CA, Ann Fors of MN, Nancy McCormick of MN; and her
granddaughter, Caytlyn Prickett. The family will hold a celebration of Patty's

October 27, 2004 Ida Werner Sager, 90, of Syracuse, died Wednesday at Iroquois
Nursing Home. Ida was born in Syracuse. She graduated from Vocational High
School. She was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church. She was predeceased
by herhusband, Norman, who died in 1993 and a son, Harry, who died in 1986.
Survivors: A daughter, Caroline Irving of Syracuse; three sons, Carl R. of
Altamont, Henry L. of McKinney, Texas and John W. of Marcellus; nine
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Services: Monday, 11:00 a.m. at

Williams Sr., Gordon P.   
October 27, 2004 Gordon Paul Williams, Sr., 68, of Lakeland, died Wednesday at
University Hospital. He was a native of Peckville, PA and lived in the
Syracuse area the past 48 years. He was a communicant of St. Augustine's
Church. He retired from General Elec-tric in 1994. He served as a captain in
the US Air Force Reserves. He was a past president of Lakeside Fire
Department. He owned Lakeland Diner for several years. He is survived by his
wife of 48 years, Catherine Calabro Williams; three sons, Gordon and Martin of
Lakeland, Steven of Lysander; five grandchildren; his mother, Mary Baron
