September 3, 2004 Cecile E. Christopher, 85, of Seneca Hill Manor, died at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Canada and has been a resident of Fulton for most of her life. She retired from Birdseye Foods, Fulton, after 15 years. She is a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. She was a member of Court Pere LeMoyne #833. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Albert) Searles of Oswego and Kathleen (Dennis) Stevenson of Fulton; two sisters, Carmen Baron and Frances Foley, both of Fulton; three grandchildren: Robert Patrick Jr., Susan Brown and Melissa (Chuck) VanBuren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services: Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, with Rev. Stephen Wirkes officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fulton. September 2, 2004 Donald L. Davidson, 68, of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Crouse Hospital after a long struggle with prostate cancer. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. An avid boater, Don spent 8 years living onhis trawler with his wife Mary and their two cats, Rudy and Valentino, traveling the intercoastal waterway from Syracuse to Key Largo, FL. He is survived by his wife, Mary Cooper Davidson; his mother, Pauline Davidson of Binghamton, NY; a brother Gary Davidson of Crossville, TN; a daughter Teresa Davidson of Austin, TX; sons Jeffrey Davidson of Annandale, VA and Steven Davidson of Albany; their spouses Audrey, Linda and Colette; three grandchildren, Katie, Ella and Max; and a large and warm extended family of in-laws. Don was also a former Trustee of Liverpool Elks, past Director and Port Captain of the Marine Trawler Owner's Association (MTOA) and a member of the DeFever Owner's Association. He served 8 years in the Naval Reserve.Don began his career with General Electric in 1957, supporting sonar operations for the Navy. He was instrumental in bringing the battleship lightweight sonar activity back to GE Syracuse in the 1980's. In 1994, he retired from Martin Marietta as Customer Service and Support Manager for a major surface ship sonar program. Tiedemann Sr., 88, born in Brooklyn, NY, and a veteran of World War II who served in the occupation of Japan, died at Community General Hospital on Friday, September 3, 2004. A most devoted and loving husband,he is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary, who resides at Greenpoint Senior Living Community; his four children: Robert of Franklin Square, NY; Joseph of Los Angeles, CA; Neil of Brooklyn, NY; and Mary Lou Kelly of North Syracuse; his brother Arthur of NYC; his eight grandchildren; and his three great-grandchildren. Twichell, William G. August 31, 2004 William Gary Twichell, 47, of Stratham, NH, died at Exeter Hospital after a brief illness. Born June 12, 1957 in Syracuse, he was the son of the late Lewis F. and Virginia Wolfanger Twichell. He grew up in Fayetteville and was a 1976graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School, where he played football and lacrosse. He worked for GBC, Inc. as director of sales and marketing for over 15 years. An avid outdoorsman, Bill was an accomplished downhill skier who also enjoyed boating, water skiing, and biking. He was a yearly participant in the Pan Mass Challenge bicycle event to raise money for the Jimmy Fund of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Bill was a member of the Syra-Canadian Fish & Game Club and was affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 51. He enjoyed live music and was known to share his talents as a harmonica player on stage with local friends and musicians. Survivors: a longtime companion, Mary H. Twichell; a daughter, Marissa Twichell of Exeter, NH; two sons, Jeffrey and Graham Twichell both of Exeter, NH; his former wife, Dona T. Delaney of Exeter, NH; a granddaughter, Serena; two brothers, Terry and Robert Twichell both of Fayetteville; and a sister, Annie Twichell of Virginia Beach.
