She was a foster mother for the Onondaga County Social Services Dept. She was predeceased by her daugh-ter Jackie Parker. April 1, 2005 Avis O. Branche, 95, formerly of West Monroe, died Friday at James Square Nursing Home in Syracuse. Born in the Town of Boylston, she was a life resident of Sandy Creek before spending a short time in West Monroe. She worked as a Clerk at the Sandy Creek General Store. Mrs. Branche was a past member of the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church and a member of the D.A.R.-Rhadamant Chapter in Sandy Creek. She was predeceased by a son, Robert in 1996. She is survived by a daughter, Kay Marie Hewitt of Liverpool; two sons, Calvin of Hudson, FL, and Dan of West Monroe; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and her husband, Maurice of Central Square. Chapman, 53, of School St., Skaneateles Falls, died Thursday after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Syracuse, she previously had been employed with Welch Allyn, Inc., in Skaneateles and most recently with New Ven-ture Gear in Syracuse. She was a graduate of Skaneateles Central School and Cayuga Community College. She was predeceased by her father, Charles Knickerbocker in 2001 and her sister, Karen Feldmann in 1992. Surviving are two sons, Peter (Melissa) Chapman of Marcellus and Michael Chapman of Skaneateles; two daughters, Angie (Mark) Usowski of Auburn and Ashley Chapman of Skaneateles; her mother, Betty Knickerbocker of Skaneateles; a sister, Kathy (Bill) Stenard of Auburn and a granddaughter, Eve. He is survived by his two daughters, Crystal and Nikki Harrell of Cicero; his father, James of Florida; three sisters, Cathy (Gary) Gapski of Liverpool, Susan (David) Stonecypher of Liverpool, Nancy (Jimmy) Durfy of Pittsview, Alabama; two nephews and five nieces. Morgan, Richard H. (Dick) March 31, 2005 Richard H. (Dick) Morgan, 78, of Fairmount, passed away peacefully at home Thursday. Born in Manlius, he lived in Syracuse until 1962 when he moved to Fairmount. He retired in 1987 after 35 years of service from the Syracuse Fire Depart-ment as a Lieutenant Fire Marshall, he was instrumental in solving the Goldfeld Arson cases, he was also a charter member to the Fire Department's Rescue Co. 1. After retirement, he was a security officer to the New York State Fair, Carrier Dome, Onondaga Co. War Memorial, and Landmark Theatre. He was an Army Veteran of WWII in the Phillipines, and a member of VFW Fairmount post 5284. He was a member of Holy Family Church, Fairmount. He is predeceased by his brother, John R. Simmons in May 2004. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Louise (Maroney); three sons, Robert L. (Sueann) of Camillus, Edward A. (Eileen Olejarczyk) of Warners and Richard M. (Anne) of Camillus; three grandchildren, Kristyn M. of Elbridge, Leighanne and Elizabeth of Camillus, and a stepgrandson, Brian Olejarczyk; several nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of St. John the Baptist School and went to work at the former GreenwayBrewery in Syracuse followed by working as a data processor for over 30 years at Allied Chemical in Solvay, retiring in 1985. Sarah enjoyed bowling, making dolls and quilts. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur in 1993. Surviving are three sisters-in-law; Alice Orbino, of Solvay, Genevieve Rogalski and Anne (Mike) Zingaro, both of N. Syracuse; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
