Ackerman, Frances C. "Pee Wee"
Ackerman March 28, 2005 Frances C. "Pee Wee" Ackerman, 72, of Oswego, died
Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of the Syracuse
area. She was a foster mother for the Onondaga County Social Services Dept.
She was predeceased by her daugh-ter Jackie Parker. Surviving: her sister,
Shirley Francis of Syracuse; two brothers, Warren Ackerman of Nova Scotia and
Oren Ackerman of Saranac Lake; five sons, Clarke, James and Steve Dolan, all
of Syracuse, Rob Dolan of the Carolinians, and Kerry Dolan of Marietta, GA; a
daughter, Dawn Gray of NC; her fiance' Louie Spurchise; many grandchildren.
Services 10 a.m. Monday at Delaney-Greabell-Adydan Funeral Home. Burial,
Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 3 to 6 p.m. at funeral home, 241 Kinne
St., East Syracuse.

Ames, Nancy (Mueller)   
March 25, 2005 Nancy (Mueller) Ames of Syracuse. A graduate of Nottingham High
in 1957. Beloved aunt of Anna and Daniel Mueller; and sister of William
Mueller. She was deeply concerned for the rights of people with mental

Branche, Avis O.   
April 1, 2005 Avis O. Branche, 95, formerly of West Monroe, died Friday at
James Square Nursing Home in Syracuse. Born in the Town of Boylston, she was a
life resident of Sandy Creek before spending a short time in West Monroe. She
worked as a Clerk at the Sandy Creek General Store. Mrs. Branche was a past
member of the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church and a member of the
D.A.R.-Rhadamant Chapter in Sandy Creek. She was predeceased by a son, Robert
in 1996. She is survived by a daughter, Kay Marie Hewitt of Liverpool; two
sons, Calvin of Hudson, FL, and Dan of West Monroe; five grandchildren; and
seven great-grandchildren; and her husband, Maurice of Central Square. Calling
Hours will be Monday, April 4, 2005 from 2 to 3 p.m. with a service to follow
at 3 p.m. at the Watson Funeral Home, Inc., 631 S. Main St., Central Square.

March 31, 2005 Helen Cameron, age 93, of Newfield, an avid bow hunter, died

Chapman, Kristine E.   
March 31, 2005 Kristine E. Chapman, 53, of School St., Skaneateles Falls, died
Thursday after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Syracuse, she
previously had been employed with Welch Allyn, Inc., in Skaneateles and most
recently with New Ven-ture Gear in Syracuse. She was a graduate of Skaneateles
Central School and Cayuga Community College. She was predeceased by her
father, Charles Knickerbocker in 2001 and her sister, Karen Feldmann in 1992.
Surviving are two sons, Peter (Melissa) Chapman of Marcellus and Michael
Chapman of Skaneateles; two daughters, Angie (Mark) Usowski of Auburn and
Ashley Chapman of Skaneateles; her mother, Betty Knickerbocker of Skaneateles;
a sister, Kathy (Bill) Stenard of Auburn and a granddaughter, Eve. Services
will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. in St. James Episcopal Church, Skaneateles.
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Skaneateles. Calling hours will be from
4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, 49 Jordan St.,
Skaneateles. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to
SAVES. Mom leaves behind an unyielding optimism and fascination for life on
the countless she had touched.

Harrell, David James
March 30, 2005 David James Harrell, 50, of Syracuse, died unexpectedly on
Wednesday in his home. Mr. Harrell was born in Portland, ME, the son of James
Harrell and the late Patricia Harrell. Mr. Harrell worked at United
Technologies Carrier for over 30 years.He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing,
camping, and golf. He is survived by his two daughters, Crystal and Nikki
Harrell of Cicero; his father, James of Florida; three sisters, Cathy (Gary)
Gapski of Liverpool, Susan (David) Stonecypher of Liverpool, Nancy (Jimmy)
Durfy of Pittsview, Alabama; two nephews and five nieces. Funeral services are
Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home. Friends may
greet the family from 1 to 4 on Sunday at the funeral home, 3111 James St. In

March 31, 2005 Ian Michael Holbrook of Middletown, New York, passed away March
31, 2005 in Middletown. He was 20. A graduate of New York Military Academy
Class of 2002. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Grader Holbrook; his
father and stepmother, W. Michael and Nancy Holbrook; Nana and Pop-pop (Jerry
and Argie Grader); Jammy and Gramps (Fred and Jan Holbrook); grandma, Tedesco;
grandma and grandpa, Fiorucci; aunts, uncles and cousins, Keith Grader, Cindy
and Cris Wagner (their children, Chelsea and Carly), SueEllen and Eggar
Beshures and their children, Brooks and Brittany), Dan Fiorucci (his children,

Morgan, Richard H. (Dick)   
March 31, 2005 Richard H. (Dick) Morgan, 78, of Fairmount, passed away
peacefully at home Thursday. Born in Manlius, he lived in Syracuse until 1962
when he moved to Fairmount. He retired in 1987 after 35 years of service from
the Syracuse Fire Depart-ment as a Lieutenant Fire Marshall, he was
instrumental in solving the Goldfeld Arson cases, he was also a charter member
to the Fire Department's Rescue Co. 1. After retirement, he was a security
officer to the New York State Fair, Carrier Dome, Onondaga Co. War Memorial,
and Landmark Theatre. He was an Army Veteran of WWII in the Phillipines, and a
member of VFW Fairmount post 5284. He was a member of Holy Family Church,
Fairmount. He is predeceased by his brother, John R. Simmons in May 2004. He
is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Louise (Maroney); three sons,
Robert L. (Sueann) of Camillus, Edward A. (Eileen Olejarczyk) of Warners and
Richard M. (Anne) of Camillus; three grandchildren, Kristyn M. of Elbridge,
Leighanne and Elizabeth of Camillus, and a stepgrandson, Brian Olejarczyk;
several nieces and nephews. Services are 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Edward J.
Ryan & Son Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Burial is in St.

Mursch, Janice A.   
March 30, 2005 Janice A. (Payment) Mursch, 71, of Syracuse, died Wednesday at
Rosewood Heights Health Center. Born in Tupper Lake, NY, she resided in the
Syracuse area most of her life. She was retired from Price Chopper in Syracuse
where she worked asa clerk for 19 years. She had been a communicant of St.
Johns Church, Syracuse. She is survived by two sons, Thomas and William Mursch
III, both of Syracuse; one daughter, Julie (Christopher) Lee of Syracuse; four
grandchildren, Jennifer and Christopher Lee Jr, Felicia Mursch and Ashley
Wagner, all of Syracuse. She was predeceased by her husband, William Mursch,
Jr. in 1987. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at Lucians

Reynolds, Kathleen M.   
March 31, 2005 Kathleen M. Reynolds, 81, of Onondaga Hill, passed away
Thursday at her home. Born in North Bangor, NY, she lived on Onondaga Hill the
past 45 years. She retired after 25 years as a cashier in the Cafeteria at
Community General Hospi-tal. Kathleen was a communicant of St. Michael's
Church and widow of Malcomb Reynolds who died in 1999. Surviving are two
daughters, Donna E. Sibble of Hubbardsville, NY, Joanne L. (David) Rizzo of
Onondaga Hill; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Services Monday

Santorum, Sarah (Kelly)   
March 31, 2005 Sarah (Kelly) Santorum, 85, of Solvay, passed away Thursday at
Community General Hospital. Born in NY City, she lived in Solvay most of her
life. She was a graduate of St. John the Baptist School and went to work at
the former GreenwayBrewery in Syracuse followed by working as a data processor
for over 30 years at Allied Chemical in Solvay, retiring in 1985. Sarah
enjoyed bowling, making dolls and quilts. She was predeceased by her husband,
Arthur in 1993. Surviving are three sisters-in-law; Alice Orbino, of Solvay,
Genevieve Rogalski and Anne (Mike) Zingaro, both of N. Syracuse; several
nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be conducted at 8:45 a.m. Monday in
Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, where a
funeral mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Calling
