Bliss, 51, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He is survived by his wife, the former Susan J. Sylvester; three daughters, Kelly A. Born in N. Bergen, NJ, he was the son of the late Benjamin and the late Caroline (Colucci) Cannito. Mr. Cannito served during World War II in the Navy and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal and other commendations. He was a gauge inspector, employed by Prestolite, Syracuse, NY, and was also a tailor. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Jones, 89, of Erie Village, East Syracuse, died Thursday. Paul had resided in the East Syracuse-Minoa area most of his life. Mr. Jones had retired in 1977 as Captain of Fire Protection at General Electric in Syracuse after 34 years of ser-vice. He was a Sgt. in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was past chief and a life member of the East Syracuse Fire Department. He was also past president and a life member of the Onondaga Co. Fireman's Association, a past NYS Fire Instructor for Onondaga Co., and a member of the Onondaga Co. Fire Chief's Association. He was also a member of the General Electric Foreman's Association, the GE Quarter Century Club, and a member of the American Legion Post 359 in East Syracuse. She retired from Van Duyn in 1991 after 23 years. Patricia was a charter member and past president of the Otisco Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Ladies Putters Golf League, and member of the Vesper United Methodist Church. Her husband Edwin M. Kehrer died in 1991. Mrs. Kehrer enjoyed her grandchildren and playing cards.
