Falvey of Auburn, NY. Born in Auburn on September 28, 1925, he attended St. Alphonsus School and East High School in Au-burn. A WWII, Korean Conflict, and Vietnam veteran, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1943 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 1945. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, the Air Force Institute of Technology, and attended Stanford University. Col. Falvey had a distinguished 31 year career with the U.S. Air Force as a navigator, engineer, and academic. Tours included Air Force bases throughout the country, Newfoundland, Greenland, and Vietnam. He received the Bronze Star for his service as a senior Air Force staff civil engineer in South Vietnam. Prior to his retirement from the Air Force in July 1975, he was the professor of Aerospace Studies at the University of Notre Dame. After retirement, he was employed in hospital administration and in the services industry. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, F. Marcia Drake, whom he married in Auburn on February 22, 1952; his sister Ann Travis of Rochester, NY, four sons and four daughters: Capt. David J. Falvey, retired USNR of Springfield, VA, Col. Born, November 26, 1982 in Syracuse, Matthew was a son of Joseph R. and Michelle M. Passalugo Hale. Matthew was member of the 2001 graduating class of Homer High School and had attended Adirondack Community College. An avid sports fan, Matthew loved the New York Yankees, the New York Knicks and the Buffalo Bills, additionally he also enjoyed music. Known for her hospitality and zest for life, Helen fished, traveled, danced and sang into her early 90's. She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar, in 1973 and her companion, Joe Saray, in 2002. Truax, 88, of Pompey, passed away Sunday at his home. Born in Penna., he was a Dewitt resident before moving to Pompey in 1985.
