He is survived by his children, Sandi Cannellos, Nikki Costanzo (Peter), Kathy Westfall (Frank), and Robert Cannellos, II; his brother, George Cannellos and wife Corinne; grandchildren, Fritz Fernandes, Areanna, Kalley and Jordan Westfall, Andrea Costanzo, Kara Baratta, Tomlin and Madison Keehfus; great-grandchild, Isabella Fernandes; stepchildren, Inez Albanese (Tony), Mary Dee Keehfus (John), Tom Albanese. Coholan, Gerald "Ted" April 10, 2005 Gerald "Ted" Coholan, 80, of Baldwinsville, NY, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died peacefully April 10 at Francis House. A dedicated family man, Coholan lived in Westvale for 30 years before moving to Baldwinsville in 1995. He re-tired in 1990 after a career in industrial sales. Coholan was born in New Britain, Conn., in 1924 to Gerald Frederick and Margaret Angela (O'Neil) Coholan. He grew up in the Philadelphia, Pa., area and attended St. John's Preparatory School outside of Philadelphia. He entered the special forces of the Army, the 10th Mountain Division ski troopers, upon graduation from high school. He is a WWII veteran, having served active duty in Italy for the 85th Battalion of the 10th Mountain Division. A war hero and former prisoner of war, he earned numerous medals for his service, including a bronze star and two Purple Heart medals. He attended University of Connecticut on the GI Bill, earning a bachelor's degree. He was captain of the 1948 UConn men's national championship soccer team and captain of the UConn tennis team. Coholan was an active community volunteer in Central New York. In the 1970's he volunteered as a football coach for the Westvale Knights Pop Warner organization, and was active with the East Hill Ski Association in Camillus. Coholan taught tennis professionally at Pine Grove Health Club in the 1980s. He worked as a ski instructor and a member of the National Ski Patrol at Labrador Mt. He was an avid golfer, hunger, and outdoorsman. He resided during the winter months in Jupiter, Florida. Coholan is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan Mary McKenna Coholan of Baldwinsville, and a sister, Grace Fortin of West Hartford, Conn. He was father to six children, Eileen Tarsel, Daniel Coholan, Peggy Morgan, all of Baldwinsville; Terry (Janet) Coholan of Rochester, Brian (Santa) Coholan of Syracuse, and Patricia (Thomas) Corey of Cape Cod, Mass. After graduating in 1940 from Most Holy Rosary School, Ronn spent many years as a delivery clerk for local businesses and as a bus driver for West Genesee Schools. Pirro, 39, of Skaneateles, passed away unexpectedly April 8 in Florida while playing golf, the sport he truly loved. He was a graduate of Solvay High School and Lemoyne College. Dave was the owner and president of Dave PirroFord, Inc., since 1991. Dave was a highly respected auto dealer and was currently the Vice President of the Syracuse Automobile Dealers Association. He was the Chairman of the SADA Auto Show and Charity Preview Committee. Dave also served as a director of the Ford Dealers Advertising Association. He was the recipient of the Ford Motor Company's President's Award for a number of years in recognition of his outstanding customer service. Dave was selfless in his commitment to his community. He was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the CNY Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and chairman of its golf tournament. Dave had a zest for life, a deep love for his family and thoroughly enjoyed the thrill of competition. An avid gentleman golfer who played with children and professionals alike, Dave also completed two NYC marathons. Survivors include his beloved wife, Ellen M. Pope, Theodore Parker April 7, 2005 Theodore Parker Pope, 81, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, in Sarasota, FL. He was born December 10, 1923, in Quincy, MA, a son of Ruth Parker Pope and Laurence E. Pope. He graduated from North Quincy High School in 1941 and Syracuse University in 1948, where he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He served in World War II with the Marine detachment aboard the U.S.S. Cleveland and returned home with six Battle Stars. In 1947, he married Alice Elizabeth Bailey in Ithaca, NY. They lived and worked in Spencer, NY, for 35 years and were longtime summer residents of Raquette Lake. Mr. Pope was the chief financial officer of the Tioga State Bank and served for 15 years as the president of the Spencer-Van Etten school board, where he was instrumental in the reorganization of the school system. In 1992 he retired and they moved to Hamilton, NY, where he was active in the parish of St. Thomas' Church. Mrs. Pope predeceased him in April 1999. In 2000, he married June Randall of Mansfield, MA, and they moved to Sarasota, FL. He is survived by his wife, June Randall Pope; two daughters, Carolyn Pope Gowan of Hamilton, NY, and Virginia Pope Eagan of Philadelphia, PA; three grandsons, Parker P. Gowan, Ian P. Gowan and Theodore P. Gowan; a brother, Everett P. Pope of Amelia Island, FL; two nephews, two nieces. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2005, at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, Hamilton, NY. Quijano, 92, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday. Born and educated in Santander, Spain she worked for Eagan Real Estate at MONY Tower for 20 years retiring in 1994.
