Onondaga Rd., died peacefully Monday at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Endwell, NY to Harold and Madonna Warren and graduating from Union Endicott High School in 1949, she moved to Otisco, NYwhere she started a new life with her husband, Stanley Gardner on September 9, 1950. Initially she was employed by General Electric at Electronics Park in Liverpool. Soon thereafter her many hobbies consumed much of her time. Her first love, golf, rewarded her with league championships for two consecutive years. She also spent much of her time as a Cub Scout den mother, and was very involved with the Labrador Mountain Ski Club. Other passions included spending time at the family camp in the Adirondack Mountains and many years producing maple syrup. Lucy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Stanley Gardner; her three sons, Robert (Nancy) of Nedrow, Lenny (Kacy) of Chittenango, Todd (Brenda) of South Onondaga; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; her brothers, John Warren of Endicott and Marvin Warren of Richland, NY. Mrs. Mento owned and operated Nat's Beauty Shop for almost 20 years until she retired in the 1970's. She loved the outdoors, knitting and most of all, her family. Although she never had children of her own, she was a second mother to her younger sisters and brother and to many of her nieces and nephews. Nat, as she was known, was a member of Church of the Resurrection in East Syracuse. She spent the last 14 years in Liverpool, living with her sister Betty, and the last several weeks at Van Duyn Nursing Home. Pirro, 39, of Skaneateles, passed away unexpectedly April 8 in Florida while playing golf, the sport he truly loved. He was a graduate of Solvay High School and Lemoyne College. Dave was the owner and president of Dave PirroFord, Inc., since 1991. Dave was a highly respected auto dealer and was currently the Vice President of the Syracuse Automobile Dealers Association. He was the Chairman of the SADA Auto Show and Charity Preview Committee. Dave also served as a director of the Ford Dealers Advertising Association. He was the recipient of the Ford Motor Company's President's Award for a number of years in recognition of his outstanding customer service. Dave was selfless in his commitment to his community. He was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the CNY Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and chairman of its golf tournament. Dave had a zest for life, a deep love for his family and thoroughly enjoyed the thrill of competition. Published in the Syracuse Post Standard on 4/13/2005. Sibson, Dorothy E. April 11, 2005 Dorothy E. Sibson, lifelong resident of Syracuse, died Monday at age 97. She was the daughter of Gordon Warren Stevens and Alice Esther Williams, residents of this city, and the widow of Frederick William Sibson of Onondaga Hill, who passed away in 1965. Her brother, Warren A. Stevens, star Syracuse University quarterback in the late 1920's and early 1930', who went on to become Director of Athletics at the University of Toronto, died in 1978 in Australia. Mrs. Sibson lived for nearly 65 years in Westvale. After her husband's death in 1965, she worked at Flah's in Fairmount Fair, and in later years volunteered at Community General Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Jill Sibson Holmes Russell of Yorktown, VA, and her husband Bill; two grandsons, Scott A. Holmes and his wife Karen of Ringoes, NJ, and Steven T. Holmes of Fairport; five great-grandchildren, Megan, Dylan, Kyle, Daniel and Travis Holmes; and a nephew, Kevin S. Sibson of Onondaga Hill. She is also survived by her friend, Debbie Beauchamp of Fulton, who devoted kind and compassionate attention to her care and needs during the last 10 years of her life. Born in Pottsville, PA, he attended Solvay High School and was a rack maker for General Motors until his retirement. Luella was an auditor for Chase Manhattan Bank in Syracuse from 1997 to 1999. A longtime pa-rishioner of St. Brigid and St. Joseph Church, she served as a Eucharistic Minister, and was a member of its Young at Heart and Altar & Rosary Society. She was predeceased by her husbands, Anthony Gillani and Lester Zins; and a son, Ronald Gillani. Surviving are a daughter, Charlene Berry, of Lakeland; a son, Richard Gillani, of Marcellus; a brother, Arthur Brownrigg, of Tampa, FL; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
