Freyer, Doris J. Freyer April 6, 2005 Doris J. Freyer, 62, formerly of Syracuse, died unexpectedly on April 6 in Titusville, FL. A native of New York City, Mrs. Freyer resided in the Syracuse area most of her life and only recently moved to Florida. Doris spent most of her life as a homemaker and was the Manager of the Sherman Williams paint store in Oneida for several years. She was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Manlius. Her free time was often spent in the park, swinging and playing with her grandchildren, and she also loved to do puzzles along with arts and crafts. Surviving are her daughter, Lisa O'Neil of North Syracuse; and her son, John Slade; her father, Eugen Turschmann of Mattydale; four sisters, Elizabeth Stein of Fishkill, Linda Diaz of Paramus, NJ, Jean Dodge of Highpoint, NC, Sue McIntyre of Mattydale; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Katie, Tomas and Kara. Fortunato April 12, 2005 Irma Colonna Fortunato Guida, 84, passed on to her eternal reward peacefully surrounded by her beloved children, at Crouse Hospital on Tuesday. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent in 1997. Irma is survived by her adoring chil-dren, Norma (Brian) Mingolelli, Oscar (Marylynn) Guida, Rev. Amedeo Guida, Rita (Joe) Anastas, William (Patricia) Guida, Rudy Guida; and her 15 grandchildren. She was our devoted mother, a woman of great faith with a deep devotion to prayer, which inspired all who came in contact with her. "Mamma we love you! You'll be greatly missed!" Irma was a descendent of the great noble Colonna family of Rome, Italy and was one of 18 children. She came to America in 1969 with her husband and children, from Montecorvino Rovella (SA) Italy. Mayo, Barbara Monnoyer April 11, 2005 Barbara Monnoyer Mayo, of Metuchen, NJ, passed away in Bakersfield, CA, on April 11, 2005. Born on July 3, 1926, in Syracuse, NY, Barbara was the daughter of Hiram and Frances Monnoyer. She graduated from Goodwill Burlingame High School in 1944 and from Syracuse University's School of Nursing in 1948, the first year of the university's BS degree in nursing program. Her nursing career included positions at Cancer Memorial Hospital (now Sloan Kettering) in New York City, Saint Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, NJ, the JF Kennedy Hospital Auxiliary, as well as service to the Middlesex County Blood Bank. On April 19, 1952, Barbara married S. Elliott Mayo and moved to Metuchen, NJ. They had two sons, Ralph and Richard. Barbara Mayo enjoyed serving many community activities. She had leadership roles in the Daughters of the American Revolution, PEO AI Chapter, Metuchen Riding and Hunt Club, and the Borough Improvement League. She was a 50-year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen serving as a deacon, women's circle leader and Bible study teacher. An enthusiastic supporter of her husband's political activities, Barbara was active in municipal and county Republican Party functions. Preceded in death by her husband S. Elliott in 2000, Barbara is survived by her son Ralph and daughter-in-law Jaime of Bakersfield, CA; son Richard and daughter-in-law Deirdre of Wake Forest, NC; four grandchildren, Courtney (Arlington, VA), Lindsey (Bakersfield, CA), Luke (Wake Forest, NC), Alex (Wake Forest, NC); her sister Dorothy Jordan of Syracuse, NY; and sister-in-law Jane Ferguson of Amelia Island, FL. He was an avid racing enthusiast. Reynolds, 69, Cazenovia, died April 9 following a long illness at Baptist Hospital of Miami. He was taken ill while wintering in the Florida Keys. Born in Mount Vernon, NY, he had lived in New England beforesettling in Central New York. Peter was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy and Lemoyne College. While an officer in the Navy, he traveled and lived around the world, including a time in Japan. Upon his return to Syracuse, he took over and expanded the family business, Reynolds Ford, making it one of the largest dealerships in the area. Always entrepreneurial, he served as president of the local Auto Dealers Association and was an active voice in regional Ford Motor Company management. Peter also developed the Ironwood Ridge Ski Center in Pompey, where many area schools held their ski programs, and sponsored a number of charity and social events. Following his retirement from Ford, Peter founded the White House Professional Office Building at Lyndon Corners in Fayetteville, which was one of the earliest office complexes on the east side of Syracuse. He also remained active in other real estate ventures. The White House, which houses a wide variety of business offices, will continue to be managed by his wife, Jody Reynolds. A man who loved to spend time teaching his and other children to ski and sail, he raced sailboats actively on Cazenovia Lake, Lake Ontario and in Canada. In later years, he and his wife cruised thousands of miles in the Atlantic and throughout the Great Lakes. A former member of the Onondaga Country Club and Willow Bank Yacht Club, Peter was a member of the Kingston Yacht Club and the Royal Marsh Harbour Club at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife; three children, Karen Reynolds-Feld of Newton, MA; Tracy Reynolds Lunney of Manlius, and Michael Reynolds of Malone, NY. He is also survived by four grandchildren; his sister, Diane Lee; three nieces and one nephew. He leaves a vast and diverse circle of friends in countries around the world. Windheim, Stephen April 10, 2005 Stephen Windheim, 63, of Fayetteville, died very unexpectedly on Sunday, April 10, 2005. Mr. Windheim was born in New York City, graduated from Syracuse University and retired after teaching music in the Syracuse City Schools for over 30 years. He had a passion for and was active in local theater and musical groups. Steve was a published songwriter, directed theater productions and was an avid golfer, in addition to being the choral director for the Oasis Senior Center Choir. Steve recently listed his current occupation as "Troubadour". Survived by his wife, Barbara P. Windheim; son Richard J. Windheim; stepsons, Steven E. (Cheryl) Feder, W.
