Clark was a 1970 graduate of Bishop Ludden High School, where he ex-celled at both football and basketball. He was a member of the 1969 state championship "Green Machine" basketball team. He attended Kent State University. He became an avid golfer and enjoyed travel to numerous tropical destinations. He was an entertaining storyteller and possessed a genuine sense of humor. Clark spent the majority of his career in the construction industry of south Florida. He is survived by his sister, Dr. Sandra A. New, Virginia Alice April 14, 2005 Virginia Alice New, age 79, of Tucson, Arizona, died April 14, 2005, of a massive stroke subsequent to open-heart surgery to correct blockage to her heart. Born July 20, 1925, in Brewerton, Onondaga County, New York, just north of Syracuse. Ginnie, as she was known among her friends, moved to Tucson to live with her brother when she retired in 1993. She worked most of her life as a bookkeeper and ran her own business "Aunt Ginnie's Pantry" in Averill Park, New York, for several years. While living with her brother, she moved with him to Tucumcari, New Mexico, where she came out of retirement to work as a waitress at the Tucumcari Truck Terminal and made many friends among truckers all over the country. Returning to Tucson in 1999, she retired for good and kept herself busy doing paint-by-number pictures, knitting, reading, fill-in word puzzles, gardening and feeding the birds in her back yard. She is survived by her son, Dennis Wayne New, of Woodland Hills, California; and her brother, David E. Laird, of Tucson, Arizona; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins scattered around the United States and Canada. Romano, Phyllis (Phil) Fraser April 7, 2005 Phyllis (Phil) Romano Fraser died April 7, 2005, in Syracuse, NY, at the age of 87. Phil was born in West Lebanon, H.H. Following her graduation from West Lebanon High School in 1936, Phyllis attended The Baypath Institute in Brattleboro, VT, attaining a two-year degree in business secretarial skills. In November 1947 Phyllis married Owen Gordon Fraser. Owen, Dartmouth College class of '47, was a veteran of WWII, earning both a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service as a paratrooper serving in the Philippines with the 82nd Airborne. Phil spoke fluent Italian, loved gardening, children, baking and the family pets. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Fairmount for 50 years. Phil was predeceased by her beloved husband Owen in 1998; her sister Helen; and brothers Carrol and Alfonzo.
