Barnett Sr., Elmer J.   
April 20, 2005 Elmer J. Barnett Sr., 92, of Baldwinsville, died Wednesday at
Loretto. He was born in Brushton, NY, and lived in Carthage since 1917 until
moving to Syracuse in 1960. He retired from Sealtest Ice Cream Co. in
Syracuse, and was previously employed with Syracuse China. He moved to
Baldwinsville in 1997 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in both
Carthage and Baldwinsville. Survivors: son, E. John Jr. (Priscilla);
granddaughter, Laura A. (Joe) Ravas and grandson, Darryl J. (Mary); three
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Services: 5 p.m. Sunday at

Boom, Mildred I.   
April 21, 2005 Mildred I. Boom, 81, of Oswego, died Thursday. Her husband,
Frank Boom, died in 1989. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Services
are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Visitation is 2 to 5 p.m.

DeVivo, Catherine O'Toole "Pat"   
DeVivo April 16, 2005 Mrs. Catherine "Pat" O'Toole DeVivo, 85, of Syracuse,
died on April 16, 2005, at Loretto after a long illness. Pat was employed at
Carrier Corp. for 30 years. Survived by one son, Emil DeVivo of New Jersey;
and a brother, Alfred O'Toole of Florida. There are no calling hours. Funeral
services and burial will be in New Jersey at the convenience of the family.

March 5, 2005 Sebastina "Nellie" DiGaetano, 96, formerly of Fulton, died in
Saluda, VA. She is survived by her son, Sebastian DiGaetano of VA. Funeral

Evans, Frances "Pat"   
April 20, 2005 Frances "Pat" Evans, was called to Heaven, April 20, 2005.
Formerly from Skaneateles and Weedsport, she was born in East Homer on
December 10, 1917. She loved traveling, flowers, animals and was a real people
person. Surviving are sons, Ben Evans, Ramon Fitts, and Kenneth Fitts;
daughters, Cathy Bennett, Peggy Kent and Marjorie McDonald; several grand and
great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, George, whose wife, Nan
survives. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday with services
at 12 noon at the Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, 49 Jordan St., Skaneateles.
Burial in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus. Contributions may be made to a charity

Fogarty, Walter E.
April 19, 1005 Walter E. Fogarty, 32, of North Main Street, North Syracuse,
NY, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 19, 2005. He was born February 16,
1973, in Oneida, NY, a son of Lester E. Fogarty Jr. and Erma Gerow. Walter was
a 1991 graduate of Whitesboro High School and was a tattoo artist in central
New York. Surviving are his mother, Erma (Gerow) Gaspa, Utica, NY; his
partner, Julie Hall, North Syracuse, NY; a daughter, Sarah Fogarty, at home;
two sisters, Wendy Fogarty, Slidell, LA, Melody Rouse, Utica, NY; maternal
grandmother, Erma Gerow, Lee, NY; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces
and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday from the
LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY, with interment in Maple Flats
Cemetery, Cleveland, NY. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at

Born in Syracuse and grew up in Delphi Falls. Survived by three daughters,
Lynn, Pamela and Lisa and their families. Also surviving, sisters, Jacleen
Randall of Delphi Falls, NY, and Judy Cook of Diamondhead, MS, and their
stepmother, Veronica Halton of Syracuse. Jerry also leaves best friend, Myrna
DeWeese of Winter Garden, FL. A memorial service is being held in Florida.

Huller, Louise Serens   
April 17, 2005 Louise Serens Huller, 96, of Minoa, died Sunday at home with
her son by her side. Born in Newark, NY, she moved to East Syracuse as a
youth. She graduated from East Syracuse High School and worked for the A&P
Company. She and her husbandLawrence "Archie" Huller owned and operated the
bowling alley, soda fountain and barber shop in Minoa until 1960. They spent
their winters at their home in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and summers at their camp
on Hatch Lake. Louise has lived in Minoa for the past 23 years where she was
an active member and treasurer of the Minoa Golden Age Club for many years.
Louise was an avid Yankee fan and card player and always kept score, as she
had a mind for figures. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, a member
of the LCBA. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence "Archie" Huller and
by her grandchildren Douglas and Kirstie Huller. Survivors: her son, Philip
Huller of Minoa; grandchildren, Gwendolynne (Brian) Simmons of Costa Rica,
Bethel (Victor) Willingham of Maryland, Jared Huller and Larissa Huller, both
of GA; three great-grandchildren, Jacquelyn and Ian Simmons and Ayden
Willingham; a sister, Ruth (Nelson) Becker of E. Syracuse; a sister-in-law,
Kathryn (Earl) Huller of Minoa; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral

Ladd, Robert R.   
April 20, 2005 Robert R. Ladd, 78, a resident of County Route 64, Mexico, died
Wednesday at home. He was employed and retired from Armstrong Cork in Fulton.
He was in the Merchant Marines during WWII and was a member of the
Edick-Hemlink VFW Post #369 in Mexico. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose in
1977. Survivors: a daughter, Vivian Ludwigsen, New Haven, a son, Clay R. Ladd,
Mexico; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be private. Harter Funeral

Miner, Milldred
April 20, 2005 Milldred Miner, 95, died Wednesday at Stonehedge nursing home.
She was a resident of North Syracuse and Westvale. She was a member of the
Westvale Women's Home Bureau. She was a member of North Syracuse Baptist
Church. She ispredeceased by her husband, Laurence Chester Miner; and a
daughter, Arlene Heuslin. Surviving are her daughter, Carol (Ron) Hodge of
Kirkville; a son, Donald Miner of Fairport; 14 grandchildren; 37
great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services
will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Fergerson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in

Mogilewski, Anthony J. (Tony)   
Mogilewski April 19, 2005 Anthony J. (Tony) Mogilewski, 63, of Stoutenger Rd.,
Phoenix, NY, died Tuesday. Born in Scranton, PA, he lived in Niagara Falls and
moved to Phoenix 32 years ago. Graduated from Trott Technical in Niagara Falls
and attended Morrisville Technical School. He was a power plant operator for
Indeck, Inc., Oswego, NY, member of St. Stephen's Church, served as usher and
worked with maintenance, member of Boy Scout Troop #750, Phoenix Little
League, Loyal Order of the Moose, Syracuse, was owner of A&M Refinishing, and
was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was predeceased by his son John J.
Mogilewski, November 15, 1999, and his mother, Victoria Mogilewski, July 4,
2004. Surviving are his wife, Laurie Borowczyk Mogilewski, married 40 years;
daughter and son-in-law, Yvette and Frank Gigliotti of Fulton; son, Michael
Mogilewski of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah and Lydia Gigliotti,

Monnat, Leonard S.   
April 20, 2005 Leonard S. Monnat, 87, of Syracuse, died Wednesday at St.
Camillus Health Center. Born in Syracuse, he attended Syracuse University. He
was a US Marine Corps veteran of WW II, having served in the Pacific. He
retired in 1980 as vice presi-dent of manufacturing for McMillian Book
Company. He was ordained in 1979 to the Roman Catholic Deaconate in the
Diocese of Syracuse and served as deacon at St. Brigid-St. Joseph's Church for
26 years. In 2004, Dcn. Monnat celebrated his 25th anniversary of his
ordination. He was also a Boy Scout leader in the Hiawatha Council and was an
avid Yankees fan. Survivors: his wife of 59 years, Florence Slattery Monnat;
daughter, Ann (Richmond) Nunn of Fitzwilliam, NH; sons, Rev. Thomas L. (Nancy)
Monnat of Philadelphia, PA, Gerard F. Monnat of Sandy Creek, Peter A. Monnat
of East Syracuse; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Remington, Mary
April 17, 2005 Mary Remington, 98, of Farmington, CT, wife of the late Harry
G. Remington. She was born in Philadelphia, lived in Syracuse for many years
prior to moving to Farmington 30 years ago. She had a long association with
the Everson Art Museum, and she was a past president of the Social Art Club in
Syracuse. She is survived by a daughter, Katharine R. Delventhal of West
Hartford, CT; a son, David Remington of Cape Neddick, ME; four grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Laurel Hill
Cemetery in Philadelphia.

Ujlaky, Jules A.   
April 21, 2005 Jules A. Ujlaky, 62, of Baldwinsville, died Thursday at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse after a courageous battle with cancer. During the
1956 Hungarian Revolution, with a simple compass, he led his mother to the
West, to freedom. He wasan officer at Syracuse Savings Bank for 25 years and
past President of their Life Insurance Department. He was employed by Onondaga
County for 13 years; was a past Lieutenant Governor of the NY State Optimist
Club, and past President of the Baldwinsville Optimist Club. Jules was very
active in the Baldwinsville Boy Scouts for many years and was a member of the
First United Methodist Church of Baldwinsville. Survivors: his devoted wife of
32 years, Vicki Davie Ujlaky; three daughters, Katie (Brad Vander Ark) Ujlaky
of Grand Rapids, MI, Jennifer (Eric Grems) Ujlaky of Virginia Beach, VA and
Vickie Lynne (Roger DuFresne) Ujlaky of Syracuse; one son, James Ujlaky of
Baldwinsville; two sisters, Erzsebet Sipos of Budapest, Hungary and Margit
Gensch of Dresden, Germany; an aunt, Katie (Jim) Hay-DeSantis of Fairfield,
IA; grandchildren, Remington and Renie DuFresne, and Robert Grems; several
nieces and nephews; and his German Wired-Hair Pointer, Toby. Services: 10 a.m.

Vasile, Regina E.
April 20, 2005 Mrs. Regina E. Vasile, 85, of 121 Grove Avenue, Auburn, NY. A
native of Seneca Falls, and had resided in Auburn since 1946. Her husband,
Louis Joseph Vasile passed on May 24, 1975. A March 1984 retiree from G.E.,
Auburn, where she was employed in Quality Control for many years. She was a
former volunteer at Auburn Memorial Hospital, an avid traveler who enjoyed the
casinos and bingo. Her heart and soul were devoted to her children,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving: are three children, Reverend
Louis A. Vasile, St. Alphonsus Church, Auburn, Gennaro J. Vasile, Ph. D. and
his wife, MaryEllen, Manlius, NY, Rosalie and her husband, Paul Brennan,
Syracuse, NY; a sister, Frances Gigliotti, Seneca Falls, NY; brother-in-law,
Jim Vasile, Auburn; five grandchildren, Kevin Vasile, Colleen Vasile Viggiano,
Brian Vasile, Michelle Paparo, Elizabeth Hubenthal; three great-grandchildren,

Williams, Marion B.   
April 20, 2005 Marion B. Williams, 92, formerly of Hart Lot St., Elbridge,
died Wednesday at the Cayuga County Nursing Home. Born in Syracuse, Mrs.
Williams moved to Hart Lot in 1947. She was the widow of Claude A. Williams
who died in 1996. Mrs. Williams formerly worked for Welch Allyn Co. and the U.
S. Postal Service. Surviving are three sons, Arthur of Aiken, SC, Thomas of
Phoenix, AZ, and John of Geneva; two sisters, Ruth Moore of Georgetown, KY and
Marion Weintraub of Covina, CA; and several grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bush Funeral
Home, Elbridge. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call 11
