Warren was a 1935 graduate of Syracuse University and he retired after 40 years from Niagara Mohawk. He was an Army veteran of WWII and a Mason. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Grace Burke Callaway; and son-in-law, Russell Murray. He was founder and past president of Gartner Equipment Company, and served also as President of the Board of Planned Parenthood of Syracuse; President of the Board of Trustees of May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society; and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the New York State College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He was born on February 21, 1934 in Canastota, the son of Samuel L. and Mary R. Sgroi Pulverenti.Samuel lived in Canastota all his life, attending Canastota Schools. He had worked for General Electric for 35 years of service in the photo-reproduction unit, retiring 1990. Samuel was member of the of the E. Bart Hanifan Council 473 Knights of Columbus and The Edward A. McDowell Assembly of the 4th Degree and a member of the Canastota Conservation Club. He had been a member of the St. Agatha's Church in Canastota. Samuel enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, camping and most of all his grandchildren. He married Louise C.
