He was born in Germany and moved to Florida in 2000 from Syracuse, NY where he worked at MONY, NY from 1972 to 1978 and in the technology department at Syracuse University from 1978 to 1990. He also owned Evergreen Hills Golf Course from 1990 to 2000. He was a computer programmer for Certegy, Inc. in St. Petersburg, Florida and was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He loved to write and paint, and he loved music. He is survived by his wife, Sharry L. Boyce, 88, of Scotia, after a long illness, died at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY on Monday, August 1, 2005. Esther was born in Schenectady, NY, the daughter of the late Frank and Luisa Auti. On October 30, 1936, Esther married Frank L. Boyce. Esther worked on small motors for the General Electric Company in Schenectady for 37 years and retired in 1965. She was a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club and a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Schenectady. Esther was predeceased in 1969 by her husband, Frank L. Boyce. She is survived by her son, Norman Boyce and his wife, Christine of Syracuse; and her daughter, Arlene Jackson of Latham; five grandchildren, Michael , Jeffrey, and Stephen Jackson, Jennifer McCaffrey and Jason Boyce; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Helen Dodge of Schenectady also survive. He was born on Oct. 3, 1925, in Belmont, NY, but lived most of his life in Syracuse. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving on the USS Currier (DE-700), in the European and Pacific Theaters. He was a longtime employee of C.E. Chappell's but retired from PHP as a maintenance supervisor in 1987. Being a skilled craftsman, he loved to putter around in his garage. Gryga, Sarah Michelle July 29, 2005 Sarah Michelle Gryga, 17, ended her courageous battle on Friday, July 29, 2005, due to complications from a bone marrow transplant she had received in November. Born on August 20, 1987, in Seattle, WA, and formerly a resident of Syr-acuse, Sarah was the loving daughter of Paul and Kim Gryga and the loving sister of Peter Gryga. Sarah was involved in many clubs and activities during her 11 years in Queensbury, including Queensbury High School Swim Team, Glens Falls YMCA Gators Swim Team, Queensbury High School Soccer, Lacrosse and Track Teams, Co-Editor of the Queensbury High School Yearbook and Newspaper, Teen Reporter for The Post-Star, National Honor Society, Queensbury High School Key Club, Queensbury High School Concert Band and Concert Choir and the Queensbury United Methodist Junior Youth Fellowship. Sarah graduated in the top 10 from Queensbury High School this June and received numerous awards and scholarships. Sarah loved to write and worked as an intern last summer at a public relations firm in Seattle, WA. Sarah was planning on attending Boston University School of Communications in the fall. Sarah loved swimming, shopping, skiing with her brother, Peter, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Mofson was born in Brooklyn and grew up in the Syracuse area. A resident of Cranston, RI. She was a consultant in environmental and land use, in both Tallahassee, FL., and Rhode Island. Dr. Mofson was a graduate of Amherst College where she received a BA degree. She received her master degree from the School of Foreign Service from Georgetown University and her Doctorate in environmental studies from the University of Maryland. Phyllis touched many lives. In one way she helped birthing mothers by becoming a Doula. She was predeceased by her father, Dr. Edward Mofson who died in 2001. She attended Syracuse University and received degrees in Education, Psychology and Sociology. While in college she taught at the Dunbar Nursery School. In 1951 she began teaching Special Education at Seymour School. She received many awards and plaques including Teacher of the Year before retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Baptist Methodist Church in Baldwinsville. She volunteered at the Clothing Exchange and after she retired one of her hobbies was with show horses. Wright, 68, of Constantia, passed into glory on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at her home following a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born in Oneida, she was a life resident of the Bernhards Bay, Constantia area. She devoted her life to her family and many close friends who relied on her for encouragement and spiritual strength in times of personal need. She was a member of The Lord Our Righteousness Church in Bernhards Bay and was proprietor of the Bernhards Bay Merchantile, an antiques dealership, where her interest in antiques provided opportunities to share her life with others. Carol's faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was a continuous testimony of grace and inner peace to all of her friends and neighbors on the North Shore. All who knew and loved her will miss her. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Kitty, who passed in 2004. Born in East Stroudsburg, PA he was the son of Fred and Mary Zoller andthe brother of Howard Zoller of Clear Water, FL. Bob worked for General Electric in Schenectady from 1938 to 1965 before moving to Liverpool in 1965. He owned and operated R.W. Zoller & Associates in Liverpool before retiring in 1995. Bob formed many friendships throughout the years and upon retiring he preferred to spend time with his wife, family and close friends, dining out, golfing or just enjoying the company of others. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 188, the B.P.O.E. of Liverpool, VFW Post 951 and an Honorary 32nd Degree Mason. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jim LeVea of Liverpool; two granddaughters, Robin (Philip) Squadrito and Nicole LeVea, both of Liverpool. Bob was a beloved husband, loving father and grandfather. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Christ the King Church, Liverpool, with committal services to follow in Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum, Clay. There will be no calling hours.
