Arnold, Audrey V. August 4, 2005 Audrey Virginia Arnold, 80, of Liverpool, died peacefully in the company of her family at University Hospital. A native of Syracuse, Audrey lived in Liverpool for over 50 years. Audrey was a successful jewelry craftsperson for over 30 years, was pastpresident of the Baldwinsville Art Guild and Syracuse Allied Arts and was a driving force behind the annual ArtMart in downtown Syracuse. Audrey balanced an independent and entrepreneurial spirit with a deep love and concern for her family and friends. If she even thought that a friend or family member might need her help she was there to lend a hand. Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Roger F. Arnold; and her granddaughter, Paige Arnold. Survivors include her sons, Roger (Margo) of Tavernier, FL, Chris (Ellen Yeomans); and daughter, Cathy VanBrocklin of Baldwinsville; grandchildren, Michael, Joshua and Alexandra Arnold, Erin and Nicole VanBrocklin, Jennifer (DeLand) Schouten, Eric and Sean Deland and great-grandson, Ryan Schouten. He was employed as a Service Technician for the Town of Onondaga Highway Department and the West Genesee Bus Garage and formerly worked at the Ogdensburg State Hospital. He was the widower of Geneva Bice and was an avid Fisherman and enjoyed camping. Born in East Syracuse, she lived in Marcellus for 25 years before moving to Camillus in 1986. Bobbie was formerly employed by New Process Gear and worked as a medical receptionist for Drs. Jaswant Bal, John Isaac and Roderick McLean, retiring in 1995. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Her husband, Frank, died April 9, 2000. Surviving are her son, Christopher of Central Square; daughters, Valerie (Bill) Jordan of Liverpool and Peg (Mike) Burns of Syracuse; grandchildren, Tara Jordan DeSimone and Alexander Hahn; and several nieces and nephews. Hoyt, 71, of Marcellus, died Thursday at Community General Hospital. Born in Utica, Mary moved to Marcellus in 1958. She worked many years as a nursery school teacher at the Marcellus United Methodist Church. Mary was an active member of the Marcellus United Methodist Church and worked at the Marcellus Senior Citizen Lunch Program. She was an avid reader. Her twin daughter, Elaine M. Darling died in 1991. Bettwy Kurtz, 74, of Kirkville, died Thursday at her home after a long battle with cancer. Mrs. Kurtz was born June 5, 1931 in Altoona, PA. Graduating from Altoona Catholic High School in 1949 and moving to Syracuse in 1953. She retired from Syracuse Supply in 1987 where she worked as an inventory control supervisor. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Chittenango and she was a volunteer at St. Matthew's Second Time Around store. She was a skilled seamstress, a talented painter and an avid woodworker, belonging to the Sawdust and Woodchips Woodworking Association of Syracuse. She was a loving wife and mother. Survived by her husband of 52 years, James C. He was employed by the Dairy Herd Improvement Agency from 1946-1952 after serving in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Mediterranean theatre; receiving a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star and other citations. Mr. Moyer was a member of the New Woodstock Federated Church. Surviving are his spouse of 55 years, Eileen; children, Neil A. Moyer of Florida, James A. Moyer of California, Dennis B.
