Born in Caribou, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Albin and Ethel Carlson of Westmanland, Maine. She is sur-vived by her husband, Frederick W. Belyea, of Orlando, Florida; by children, David F. of West Palm Beach, Florida, Susan C. of Richmond, Virginia, Paul R. of Tampa, Florida, Kathy L. of Orlando, Florida, and John H. of Jensen Beach, Florida; a brother, Howard Carlson of Holden, Massachusetts; two nieces and a nephew; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, as well as many friends. She graduated from High School in Caribou, Maine in 1945 and from North Park Junior College in Chicago, Illinois with an Associate degree in Arts in 1947. She was a teacher of primary school children in Maine until her marriage to Frederick in 1950. She put her professional career aside to become a full-time mother and caregiver for her children. During this period she was an active church member serving in ministries for children in various churches in central New York. In 1972 she resumed her career, serving for several years as a secondary school library aide and later as a primary school health aide in Auburn, New York. She retired from the school system in 1984 and moved with her husband to Orlando in 1986. Private funeral services will be held at Family Funeral Care at John Young Parkway, followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Gotha, Florida. Kearney Mohn, Joyce (Hutchins) Kearney Mohn August 8, 2005 Joyce (Hutchins) Kearney Mohn died August 8, 2005 at her home in Murfreesboro, TN, after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born February 18, 1940 in Troy, NY to Chauncey and Lena Hutchins. After graduating from Union Springs Academy, Union Springs, NY, Joyce obtained her nursing degree from New England Memorial Hospital and Sanatarium (Atlantic Union College) in MA. She was a longtime resident of Onondaga County, NY and worked 27 years for Castle Rest Nursing Home in Syracuse. After moving to TN to be near her children and grandchildren, she worked at NHC Rehabilitation in Murfreesboro for six years. Mrs. Mohn was a member of the Westvale Seventh-day Adventist Church, Westvale, NY and the GracePoint Seventh-day Adventist Church in Franklin, TN. She was predeceased by her husband Emanuel on April 29, 1986; her twin brother Charles on October 31, 1995; and a stepdaughter Judyann Mancusi on May 17, 2003. August 12, 2005 Dominic V. Liberatore, 85, W. Prospect St., Watertown, died Friday morning, August 12, 2005, at Samaritan Keep Home where he had been a patient since July 21. Mr. Liberatore was born in Syracuse on December 13, 1919, the son of John and Sarah Massimiano Liberatore. He attended Syracuse Vocational High School. On March 20, 1942, he entered the United States Army, joining Troop E, 94th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron Mechanized. He served with the 4th Armored Division in England, Normandy, France, Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Luxembourg. He also served in Ardennes, Central Europe, and Rhineland. He received the Distinguished Unit Badge, the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged as a Private First Class on September 23, 1945. On May 27, 1943, he married Jennie Crupi at St. Anthony's Church with Rev. James Quinn officiating. Mr. Liberatore worked for the Watertown Daily Times for 40 years, retiring in 1982 as the circulation manager. He was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church. He was a life member and former commander of the American Legion Post 61. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #496, the Lions Club, the Northside Improvement League, and a former member of the Italian American Club. He volunteered for the Salvation Army and was instrumental in starting the Old Newsboy Day fundraiser for the Salvation Army. Mr. Liberatore is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jennie Liberatore; his son and daughter-in-law, Dominic J. and Constance Liberatore, North Syracuse; his granddaughter, Lynda Liberatore, North Syracuse; his brother and his wife, John and Marilyn Liberatore, North Syracuse; his numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, John A. Liberatore, who died July 1, 1968; his four brothers, Victor, Albert, James and Charles Liberatore; and his two sisters, Pauline Bernard and Angie Gleason. Sahyoun, Peter Luis August 6, 2005 Peter Luis Sahyoun passed away suddenly and went to heaven on Saturday, August 6, 2005. Peter graduated from Jamesville-Dewitt High School in 1999, where he excelled in music, both vocally and instrumentally. Peter continued to study music af-ter high school to further pursue his dream of entertaining people with his many gifts. Peter was a musician, actor, comedian and a human beatbox. His child-like spirit and sense of humor lit a room and he will be forever remembered for the endless joy he brought to so many lives. Thank you, Lord, for an amazing young man, who had the courage to pursue his passion. Whenever we think of Peter, we will smile. Towne, Donald Leonard August 9, 2005 Donald Leonard Towne passed away August 9, 2005 in New Port Richey, Florida, where he and his wife, Mildred Anna Ball have lived since August 1999. Donald was born August 16, 1934 in Watertown, New York to the late Cameron and Marion Towne. While living in the Watertown area, Donald worked for the New York Air Brake, Coty Machine and Black Clawson. Donald and his family moved to North Syracuse in the fall of 1966. They resided there for 34 years. While in this area, Donald worked for Engleberg Inc. which was bought out by Sundstrand. He worked for them for 18 years until they went out of business and then worked for Syracuse China until he took an early retirement due to his health. Mr. Towne worked at all of these places as a draftsman or engineer. Donald is predeceased by two brothers, Gerald and Joseph; and a daughter, Debbie. Donald is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mildred Anna Ball; and six children, Jackie (Brian) Crispin, Don (Nancy) Towne, Michelle (Martin) McDermott, Liz Towne (Jacki Bennett), Tom (Nancy) Towne, Steve (Mariauxi) Towne; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Pat) Towne, Ed (Mary) Towne, Paul (Irene) Towne; and a sister, Mary (David) Spink. He served in the U.S. Air Force and then the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Viola was an accountant with the U.S. Government and was the supervisor at the NCO Club at Hancock Field.
