Born in Eastview, Ontario, Canada, she lived in Solvay for approximately 60 years and The Villages, FL for 31 years until moving to Camillus in July. Her hus- o40601blair band, Cyril, died in 1993. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Yvonne Dixon and Lillian Tepe and three brothers, Edgar, Leo and Henry Joncas. Born in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, he was a graduate of Sharon Center High School and attended o84722bodley Akron University. He was CEO of K. Bodley Associates, Inc., a manufacturers' representative company he started in 1968. Prior to starting his own company, he worked 25 years for The Permold Co. in Medina, OH as a Sales Engineer. In addition, he served in the Army Air Corp during WWII as a pilot and flight instructor. Ken was Past President of Nottingham Knolls CC, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Tigris Shrine and Jesters, a charter member of the Sunrise Rotary Club of DeWitt and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of DeWitt Community Church since 1954. He enjoyed spending time with his family in DeWitt and Florida along with his hobbies of golf, gardening and reading. He was a life member of the Rome Polish Home, and the Oneida Owls Nest. Mr. Brzuszkiewicz, was also a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Verona, and the Verona Senior Citizens Club. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter. (Metody) Evanoff August 21, 2005 Theodore V. (Metody) Evanoff, 93, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005 after a short illness in Lackawanna, NY where he resided with his daughter for the past 18 months. Husband of the late Petra Mitre Evanoff (d. 1997) and Anna Christo o34467evan Evanoff (d. 1936). He is survived by his seven children: Anna Viruet of New York City; Mary (Dean) Patton of Peoria, IL; Christina (and the late Nelson) Brown of Syracuse, NY; Theodora Pappas of Lackawanna, NY; Stephanie (Tom) McNicholas of Napa, CA.; Victoria (V. Rev. Fr. Rastko) Trbuhovich of Lackawanna, NY; and James (Martha) Evanoff of Rockville, MD. He had 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Theodore was the son of the late Vasil and Metra (Gosheva) Evanoff, and brother of the late Kyrill (Mitra) Nanchov, who died last year at the age of 96; and Dimitri (Eva) Evanoff, a World War II casualty of the D-Day invasion at Normany, France. Theodore entered the USA at the age of 16 in 1928 from Dolno Kotory, Macedonia, and learned the food business as a young man working in the American Stores. In 1946, he opened his own establishment, Ted's Choice Foods, in the Syracuse University business district at 137 Marshall Street where he was a member of the Marshall Street Businessmen's Assn. from 1946 - 1972, retiring at the age of 70. After retirement, from age 72 to 88, he was the Front End Manager of Peter's IGA on Nottingham Road."Ted" Evanoff was an avid golfer and gardener, and a community minded citizen. He served as an air raid warden during World War II. Theodore was active in the Americanization League and helped many immigrants to make Syracuse, New York their new home. He was also honored by the Macedonian Patriotic Organization for his life-long membership and service. Theodore was a founder of St. Mary's Macedono-Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church and a lifelong member and communicant of SS. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, Syracuse, NY. More recently, he was a member of the St. Stephen Serbian Orthodox Church in Lackawanna. Navatka, Thadeus J. Thadeus J. Navatka August 24, 2005 Thadeus J. Navatka, 80, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. He was a native of Scranton, PA and moved to the Syracuse area in the 1950's. He was an Operating Technician for Bristol Laboratories for 30 years and retired in 1986. He was a member of VFW Post 1227 in Duryea, PA and a Communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Syracuse. He was a Marine WWII veteran. He was predeceased by his first wife Leona J. Navatka in 1986; his second wife Shirley Navatka in 1994 and his sister Helen Savenelli. Survivors include his sons, Larry J., of Queensbury, NY and Richard P., of Syracuse; his sisters, Henrietta Golembeski and Gertrude Stone, both of Scranton, PA, Agnes Gursky and Marie Snyder, both of Taylor, PA; his brothers, Henry Novotka, of Taylor, PA and Edward Novotka, of Nazareth, PA; two grandchildren. Nolan August 24, 2005 Shirley Mae Nolan, 77, of 123 Kearney Avenue, Liverpool died Wednesday at Crouse Hospital on her 59th wedding anniversary. Born in Mattydale, she was the daughter of Dale and Fern (Jones) Whorrall. She was a communicant of Immaculate o12909nolan Heart of Mary, a member of Native American Service Agency and she enjoyed BINGO. Shirley is survived by her husband Bernard "Bernie" S. Nolan; one son, Brad S. (Linda) Nolan of Horseheads; two daughters, Linda Reschke of Syracuse and Wanda (John) Detor of Houston, TX; one sister, Jean Effler of Bainbridge Island, WA; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Nancy P. Richardson August 24, 2005 Nancy Payne Richardson, 86, beloved wife of the late Henry B. Richardson, died peacefully at her home in Fayetteville, on Wednesday. Born in Charlottesville, Virginia the daughter of Bertha and Harold Payne, she graduated from Lowville o33511richar Academy and attended Converse College and Katherine Gibbs. She was a devoted wife and mother who brought joy to the many whose lives she touched. Woodworth, 105, of Syracuse, died Monday at the Community General Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, she came to Syracuse In 1975, where she married Charles Woodworth. They moved into the Hotel Syracuse, where she lived until the hotel o13027woodwo closed. Charles Woodworth died in 1988. Mrs. Woodworth was a retired from Seaboard Steel Co. of NYC. where she worked as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Woodworth is a member of Plymouth Congregational Church and was a former member of Lafayette Ave. United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Woman's group. She also was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Women Press Club of NY and the Business Woman's Club of NYC. She is survived by her sons, William Woodworth of CA and James Woodworth of CT; a niece, Florence Litchfield also of CA and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
