Mr. Andreis was a World War II Marine Corps veteran and was a member of the American Legion. He had been employed by Allied Chemical Corporation for 40 years before retiring in 1978. Bodley, Kenneth August 22, 2005 Kenneth Bodley, 85, of DeWitt and Boca Raton, FL, died peacefully after a brief illness at Crouse Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, he was a graduate of Sharon Center High School and attended Akron Universi-ty. He was CEO of K. Bodley Associates, Inc., a manufacturers' representative company he started in 1968. Prior to starting his own company, he worked 25 years for The Permold Co. in Medina, OH, as a sales engineer. In addition, he served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a pilot and as a flight instructor. Ken was past president of Nottingham Knolls CC, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Tigris Shrine and Jesters, a charter member of the Sunrise Rotary Club of DeWitt and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of DeWitt Community Church since 1954. He enjoyed spending time with his family in DeWitt and Florida, along with his hobbies of golf, gardening and reading. August 6, 2006 Stanley William Coir, 89, of Cicero, passed away with his family by his side, and went to be with his Lord and be reunited with his beloved wife, Thelma (who predeceased him in 2001). Stanley was born in Syracuse, June 29, 1916. He was married 58 years to Thelma (Crowell) Coir. Stanley leaves cherished memories to his two sons, Darrell Coir and Kevin Coir; daughter, Janis and son-in-law, John Anderson, all from Syracuse; grandchildren, Dianna Elder (Jeffery), Christopher Coir (Adele), Benjamin Coir, John and Brandon Anderson; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Danielle Elder, Dylan and Nichole Coir; a great-aunt, Leona Singer of Lowville; two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Crowell of PA and Anne Coir of North Syracuse; many nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as many wonderful friends and "adopted" grandchildren. In 1933 Stanley started his career as a floor sander and refinisher, starting his own company, Central City Floors in 1937. He retired in 1981 when his son, Darrell Coir, took over the business. Stanley was known for his excellent craftsmanship, his honesty and his wonderful sense of humor. Stanley especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as any child he met. He was a man who loved many and was loved by all who knew him. He will truly be missed. A service to celebrate and honor Stanley's life will be held September 3 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church on Route 11, where he and Thelma were members for many years. He was a 1957 graduate of Syracuse University, was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a past commander of the Robert J. Hydon Legion Post 239. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Skaneateles, was a past president of the Skaneateles Rotary Club and a member of the Skaneateles Country Club. He was a charter member of the Skaneateles Historical Society, a former coach for Skaneateles youth hockey and was a co-chairman of the Veterans' Memorial restoration at Shotwell Park. Ferstler, 68, of Chittenango, joined his mother and father in eternal heaven on August 25, 2005. He was a native of Kirkville, attended Minoa High School, ran his own dairy farm for 25 years and retired after 27 years as a mechanic for UPS. He was a member of the Minoa Fire Dept. for many years, coached Sullivan Community Council baseball and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. While on earth, Warren had his own little heaven on Panther Lake, where he enjoyed the smiles of his children and grandchildren. "Izzy" Rapasadi, 92, of 616 Deerfield Drive, Oneida, and Vero Beach, FL, died Monday, August 22, 2005, at his home in Vero Beach following a lengthy illness. He was affectionately known as the Onion King of Canastota. He was born on June 23, 1913, in Linguaglossa, Italy, the son of Frank and Catina Coco Rapasadi. Isadore emigrated from Italy in 1920, living in Canastota most of his life. He has wintered in Florida for the past 25 years. He had been in the produce business all his life, where he raised and trucked onions. He worked as manager of Caruso, Rinella, Battaglia in Canastota from 1936 to 1960. He then became founder and CEO of his own produce company in Canastota with his sons, as Isadore A. Rapasadi & Sons, Inc. A onetime sharecropper, he lived to see the company that bears his name become the largest onion and potato packaging company in New York state. Isadore had been a former member of the Canastota Rotary Club and a member of the Canastota Civic Club, the Produce Marketing Association, the National Onion Association and the United Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association. Also he had served as a Canastota village trustee from 1947 to 1949, and in 1995 he received the key to the village of Canastota. He had been a 50-year member of the E. Bart Hanifin Council 473, Knights of Columbus, of Oneida, and the Oneida Elks Lodge #767. In 1982 he received the National Commanders Award from the Disabled American Veterans; in 1984 he received the Distinguished Service Award from the Canastota Chamber of Commerce, and in 1994 he was the Canastota American Legion Charles Miller Post #140 "Man of the Year." He was a communicant of St. Agatha's Church in Canastota. Isadore married Catherine J. Sgroi on December 26, 1936, in Canastota. Catherine died on December 27, 1978. Survivors: his beloved Lorraine; a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Elizabeth Rapasadi of Canastota; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Frank and Mary Rapasadi of Fayetteville, Samuel P. and Sylvia Rapasadi, and James Rapasadi, all of Canastota; two sisters, Santina O'Brien of Oneida and Jennie Sorbello of Canastota; two grandchildren, Kathleen Rapasadi and Robert Rapasadi; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Isadore was predeceased by a son, Frank Rapasadi, in 2001, and by two brothers, Anthony Rapasadi and Joseph Rapasadi. A native of S'Antioco, Italy, he left there at age 18, traveled to various countries and settled in Canada for 10 years before meeting his wife and making a home withhis family in Syracuse. He was a self-employed carpenter and was employed by The Craftsman of East Syracuse. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, the former Katie Bertone; two children, Caterina (Craig) Bennett of North Syracuse and Domenick Salidu of Cicero; four siblings in Italy: Virgilio (Francesca) Salidu of Milano, and Bruno, Anna and Mario (Pinuccia) Salidu of S'Antioco; brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony (Grace) Bertone and Carmen (Maria) Bertone, all of N. Vurraro, longtime businessman of Syracuse, NY, went on to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 26. Frank had lived in Greenwich, NY, with his family prior to his recent stay at Pleasant Valley Infirmary in Argyle, NY. Mr. Vurraro was born in Syracuse, NY, October 10, 1915. He was the co-proprietor of Dale Market, a family business, from 1944-1962. Mr. Vurraro then became a sales representative for F&R Confectioners and Ross Empire Brokerage Companies. He was honored for his outstanding work and was inducted into the Candy Hall of Fame in Hershey, PA, in 1977. Mr. Vurraro retired from Ross Empire at the age of 80 years. Mr. Vurraro was an avid golfer for most of his life and was a horse owner at Vernon Downs. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Frank and Flora Vurraro, of Lakeland, FL; his beloved wife, Jane Maurer; his brothers, Joseph of Liverpool, NY; Victor of Zephyrhills, FL; and Theodore of Hollywood, FL. Mr Vurraro is survived by his sisters, Edith Esposito of Syracuse, NY, and Elizabeth Vurraro of Zephyrhills, FL; his only son, Frank E. Yerian, 94, of Westvale, died Wednesday at Community General Hospital. She was born in Schenectady, New York, on August 19, 1911, the daughter of Clarence and Louise Gingras. After graduation from Oneonta Normal School, she married Carlos S. Yerian, her husband of 52 years who predeceased her in 1991. Mrs. Yerian was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid golfer, accomplished seamstress and traveled extensively with her husband and family. Surviving are her sons, James (Elaine) Yerian of Syracuse and Richard (Pat) Yerian of San Francisco; and daughter, Jean (James) Cokus of Syracuse; four grandchildren: Michelle and Michael Yerian, and Shawn and Patricia Cokus.
