Myers, FL, died peacefully at his home, August 25, 2005. Born July 24, 1932, in Auburn, NY, he grew up and was an entrepreneur in Syracuse, NY. He established several distributing businesses by the names of R&J Dist. and Bomar Dist. Retiring at the age of 53, he relocated to Ft. Myers, FL where for the love of golf joined the San Carlos Golf and Men's Association. Surviving him are his daughters, Jennifer Bowen of Lantana, FL and Theresa Bowen of Mattydale, NY; son, James M. Colgan, 58, of Schoharie, NY, died Saturday, August 20 at the Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County in Cobleskill with her family by her side. Dianne was born June 2, 1947 in Auburn, New York, daughter of Myles and Eleanor Wilbur Colgan. She was raised in King Ferry, NY, where she attended King Ferry Central School, graduating in 1965. She worked for Buckbee-Mears Company in Cortland and, later, returned to college to complete her degree. Dianne graduated from Wells College, Aurora, NY in 1989. Dianne moved to Gallupville in 1993 and later to the village of Schoharie. She worked at BOCES in Auburn and at Prospect House in Schoharie, a division of Residential Support Services, as a Resident Counselor. Dianne was an avid reader and writer, and much loved aunt and treasured friend to many. Dianne was predeceased by her parents, by her husband, Louis Barrella of Cortland, NY whom she married March 8, 1980, and by her sister, Cathryn J. Orman who died August 5 of this year. Survivors include one brother, Carleton J. Colgan and his wife, Cheryl, of Rome, NY; three sisters, Caroline C. Gary, 58, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Auburn, Alabama, and came to Syracuse in 1957 where he had resided ever since. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the Job Corps; upon completion he went to work at General Electric for a short time and then Carrier Corporation where he was a dedicated worker for over 30 years. Johns, Benjamin M. August 29, 2005 Benjamin M. Johns, 78, of Manlius, died unexpectedly Monday at home. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, he was a graduate of DuPont High School and attended Andover Academy and Princeton University. He served with the U.S. Army dur-ing WWII. He resided in Oneonta before moving to the Fayetteville-Manlius area in 1963. He was in the custom kitchen design industry for over 50 years. Mr. Johns was a former member of the Oneonta Country Club and a member of the Cavalry Club for the past 40 years. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed afternoons with his many golf and card-playing friends. Survivors: his wife of 55 years, Katherine S. Nichols, 98, formerly of East Syracuse, died August 26, 2005. She was a native of Menno, South Dakota and had resided in the Syracuse area since 1946. She retired in 1969 as a teacher with the Syracuse school system. She was a member of Park Central Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon. She was honored in 1975 by being listed in Who's Who of American Women. She graduated from Northern University of Iowa, State University of Iowa and State University of Illinois. She began her teaching career in a one room school house in Hutchinson County, South Dakota. She also taught in Iowa during WWII where she trained in Occupational Therapy and worked in an army hospital. She also worked as a volunteer in the Veteran's Hospital in Syracuse. Her husband, Merrill L. died in 1974. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Prucker, Virginia R. Dwyer August 29, 2005 Virginia R. Dwyer Prucker, 87, of Syracuse, died Monday at Community-General Hospital. She was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse-Solvay area. Virginia was a 1936 graduate of Solvay High School. One of the first employees of Bishop Ludden High School, she served as secretary to the principal and later as director of finance. Virginia was also a former secretary to Congressman James M. Hanley. A communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, she was also a regular visitor at the Adoration Chapel of Most Holy Rosary Church. Her husband, Leo F. Prucker, died in 1952. She is also predeceased by her brothers, Robert P. Dwyer, George R. Dwyer and Thomas H. Dwyer. Surviving are her son, Thomas L. Prucker of Liverpool; daughter, Mary Ellen (Egidio) Iorio of Onondaga Hill; grandchildren, Matthew T. Prucker and Kelly Leigh Prucker, both of Liverpool and Ryan T. He was a 1948 graduate of Vocational High School, where he played football. He was the for-mer owner of the Regent Restaurant for many years before taking a job with Syracuse University, where he worked in the Carrier Dome until his retirement in 1995. Harold was an avid sports enthusiast (especially Syracuse University athletics) and played handball and racquetball at the YMCA some years ago. She worked at Camillus Cutlery, followed by Will and Baumer Candle Co. where she worked for 17 years before retiring in 1982. Antoinette was a communicant of St. Cecilia's church. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur (Bill) in 1985; three sisters, Fannie Miceli, Mary Lundy and Genevieve Malys; and one brother, Dominick (Tom) Palladino. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ungleich of Hollywood, FL, died at Memorial Hospital on Friday night. He was born in Syracuse, NY, on October 15, 1915, the youngest of eight children, born to Ernst H. Ungleich and Louisa Hoetze Ungleich, who had immigrated from Germany and Austria, respectively. After graduating from high school, he completed various technical courses at Syracuse University College and other institutions. At the time of his retirement in 1981, he was employed by United Technologies, Inc., Carrier Air Conditioning Division, as a Manufacturing Engineer. Previously, he had worked for Easy Washing Machine Corp. for 25 years. He was a Life Member of the American Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the author of several engineering publications. He married Viola Hardter in 1940 and they lived in North Syracuse until her death in 1984. He then maintained a seasonal residence in Fort Lauderdale for several years. In 2001, he moved to Hollywood, where he enjoyed golfing, swimming and ballroom dancing. Surviving are his son, Thomas, daughter-in-law, Kim, and granddaughter, Diana, all of Hollywood, Florida; two sisters-in-law; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
