He was born in Seneca Falls, and has been a resident of Oswego most of his life. Mr. DiDominick was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, and a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. He is retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Oswego as a postal clerk. He was a member of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of the Barbershop Quartet Singing in America. Mr. DiDominick was predeceased by his son James DiDominick and his sister Madeline DeJohn. February 13, 2005 Mae C. Fisher died on February 13, 2005, at age 94, at Chase Nursing Home in New Berlin, NY, where she had lived since 1993. She had been a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Manlius since 1951, and she appreciated all the church members who were so helpful to her. Mae was born in Schenectady on February 16, 1910, to Fred and Rosa Cromwell. She did post-graduate work at North High. In World War II she enlisted in WAC and enjoyed her service. The Army trained her in secretarial skills and she made a career of that. She enjoyed life and travelled to Alaska, England, and around the States. She is survived by her son Ronald Fisher and her daughter Harriet Lewis Kawar; grandchildren, Nicole Decker, Ronda Becker, Neal Kawar, Danny Dawar, and Jimmy Kawar; great-grandchildren, Briannon Schlegel (and her children Andrew and Gabriella), Anna, Dena and Declan Kawar, and Alia and Natalie Kawar. Fulgentia, died at St. Joseph's Provincial House, Latham, NY on Tuesday, February 15, 2005. Sister was born in Utica, NY, the daughter of the late William and Anna Murphy Goppert. She was in the 72nd year of her life as a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Sister Anne Theresa graduated from St. Francis De Sales High School, Utica and was a Certified Kindergarten Teacher. She taught in schools of the Albany and Syracuse Dioceses. Including St. Anthony's School, Syracuse for 25 years and St. Pius X, Loudonville for 20 years. While Sister was in retirement, her service to her community as valuable and unprecedented. Sister is survived by a sister, Mrs. Betty Mishalanie of Utica; a brother, Leonard J. She was the daughter of the late Bertha and Hannibal Hutchins. In the early 1950's she owned and operated a small dry cleaning and toy store in the village of Minoa. A few years later she became one of the first female school bus (#17) drivers for the Minoa High School; she then drove for East Syracuse-Minoa for 22 years until her retirement. She was a 4-H leader in the Minoa area, but one of her busiest times was when she was co-founder of the Minoa Golden Age and later in her life truly enjoyed her efforts as a member. Her unending efforts always centered around the Minoa Methodist Church; as a lifelong member she taught Sunday school and was very involved with the Youth Group especially Casowasco camping activities. She held many offices in women's groups and as a member of the administrative board and many Bible Studies. For approximately 20 years she and her husband (a retired square dance caller) enjoyed many nights of square dancing and in the process taught many others while making a wonderful large group of lasting friends. Mrs. Nelson was associated with her late husband, Marvin in Marv's Wearing Apparel of North Syracuse, and later worked at the Syracuse University Library retiring in 1984. In Binghamton, Mrs. Nelson was active in Temple Israel and the Binghamton Organ Transplant Organization. In Syracuse, she was a former member of Temple Beth El and co-founder of Congregation Ner Tamid. Mrs. Nelson was predeceased in 1981 by her first husband, Marvin Barish, and in 2004 by her second husband, Samuel Irving Nelson. February 12, 2004 On Saturday, February 12, Lois Lynch Park, with her loving children at her side, returned to her Lord and Savior. Mrs. Park, a retired artist, had been stricken on January 31 and succumbed after a brief illness. She had just celebrated her 90th birth-day in December. Up until her final illness, she continued to live independently at home. Mrs. Park was born in 1914, the fourth of six children of Thomas and Louise (Conley) Lynch of Syracuse. Her father, Capt. Lynch, was a dedicated member of the Syracuse police dept. for his entire career. She married Donald R. Park of Syracuse in 1946. After a brief residence in Syracuse, they moved to North Syracuse in 1947 and became communicants of St. Rose of Lima Church. She assisted her husband in many ways, in particular with the success of Bowling Green Lanes, which Mr. Park founded and owned for many years. Together they faced many trials, not the least of which was almost losing the business due to a major fire in 1962. Upon her husband's retirement, she resumed her passion for art. She studied at Munson Proctor Williams Institute and at workshop at Syracuse area colleges. She was active in the North Syracuse Art Guild as well as other art associations in Central New York and the Adirondacks. She participated in numerous art shows throughout New York. He was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse-Camillus area. A 1947 graduate of Vocational High School and valedictorian, Michael was a member of the marching band where he played the trombone and tuba. A graduate of Syracuse University, he received a degree in liberal arts in 1953 and a College of Law degree in 1958. He was U.S. Treasury Attorney for the federal government, retiring in 1995 after 32 years. Michael was a member of the Brigadiers Drum & Bugle Corp. where he played the baritone and soprano bugle. He was a member of the Modern Male Chorus, Syracuse University Male Chorus, St. John's Church Choir, Ukrainian Men's Chorus, Surma Male Chorus, Tyrolean Alpine Choraliers and director of both St. John's English Liturgy Choir for 20 years and Dr. Tom Dooley Choraliers for more than 40 years. Michael was also a member of St. John's Holy Name Society, Ukrainian National Home, Polish Legion of American Veterans, Ancient Order of Hibernians Div. #1 Camillus, St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Assumption Church and the Notre Dame Retreat League in Canandaigua for 44 years. He was member of the Fort Dix Glee Club, Manhattan Skyliners Drum & Bugle Corp. and National Honorary member of the A.O.H. He began composing music for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade theme in 1982 and was grand marshal of the Syracuse St. Patrick's Day Parade 2000. He was a corporal for the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, the former Rose Mary Leskoske; sisters, Julia Pinkasewicz and Tillie Fanok, both of Syracuse; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, John Pinkashewicz and Andrew Pinkes. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Assumption Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Siersma, Joy Spaulding February 12, 2005 Joy Spaulding Siersma, 81, of Marcellus, passed away Saturday in Stuart, FL. Born on Mother's Day, May 13, 1923, she was the daughter of William and Emma Spaulding of Marcellus. She was the wife of the late Robert P. Siersma. Joy graduated from Marcellus Central High School and from Cortland State Teachers College. She taught physical education briefly for both the Skaneateles and Marcellus School Districts. In addition to running the Siersma Insurance Agency with her husband, she also was a part-time employee for the U.S. Postal Service. Joy was an active member of her community. She volunteered in the Marcellus Library and she was a member of the Community General Hospital Auxiliary, as well as being a member of the auxiliary for the Marcellus Volunteer Fire Department. Joy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Marcellus. Joy had a passion for golf and she loved playing in the Women's League at Dutch Hollow Country Club. She enjoyed traveling and had recently returned from a cruise through part of the Panama Canal. Joy belonged to bridge clubs, enjoyed the theater, and was an avid reader. Joy is survived by four children, Gretchen S. Rusk of PA, Robert P. Siersma of Rochester, William A. (Kim) Siersma of Utah, and Mark S. (Adriana) of FL; an AFS daughter from Chile, Elizabeth Cordova; grandchildren, Sarah S. Rusk of DE, McKala S. and Eric C. Siersma of UT, Cody R. Siersma of NY; one sister, Virginia S.
