Born in Ellensburg, NY, he was a longtime resident of Chittenango. He was employed at Crucible Steel for 36 years, retiring in 1992. He was also a driver, trainer and owner of Standardbred Horses Racing at harness tracks throughout New York State. He was a 36-year member of Steelworkers Local 1277 and a 30-year member of the Onondaga Harness Horsemen's Association and the United States Trotting Association. Ed was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, the former, Colleen Olmsted; seven sons, Wayne of Oneida, Patrick and Kevin of S. She attended Blodgett Vocational School in Syracuse, graduating in 1949. She married Thaddeus Kotash in Syracuse in 1950. Mr. Kotash died in 1985. Mrs. Kotash was employed at Nationwide Insurance Co. as a section manager, retiring in 1985. She then owned Fisherman's Landing in Black Lake from 1985 until 2000. She was a member of the Black Lake Chamber of Commerce. She loved Black Lake and enjoyed fishing, camping, and cooking. David was born September 28, 1923 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late David Rice and Olive Merriman Talbot. For over 50 years, Father Talbot faithfully served numerous congrega-tions and the Episcopal Church Diocese of Central New York. He most recently served the parishioners at St. Marks Episcopal Church on West Genesee Street in Syracuse. David is predeceased by his beloved wife, Betty. He is survived by his children, David of Newfield, Katherine Wakefield of Hermosa, SD, and Richard of Manlius; a brother, Keith of Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Anne, of Seattle, WA; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. A Eucharistic Memorial Service will be held at Noon on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at Church of the Savior, 437 James Street, Syracuse. Woolson, 54, a life resident of the New Haven/ Scriba area, passed away Sunday at her home after a long battle with cancer. Carol was born in Oswego and was the daughter of Ed and Lillian Taber, currently residents of Catfish Drive in New Haven. She graduated from Mexico High School in 1968. Carol was a member of the local Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses, and had many friends there. Carol was the loving wife of Rodney Woolson of 62 Parkhurst Road, Oswego. Also surviving Carol are two daughters, Candice (William) Sharkey of Oswego and Christine (Ted) Payne of Michigan; two sons, Lyle Burnett of North Carolina and James (Stephanie) Burnett of Hannibal; three stepchildren, Rodney (Cheryl) Woolson of Atlanta, Georgia, Raymond Woolson of Scriba, and Susan Woolson of Ocala, Florida; a brother, Edward Taber of Mexico; four sisters, Joan (Les) Cornell of Mexico, Melody (Jim) Tompkins of New Haven, Cheryl Truax of New Haven, and Gloria (Jeff) Yerdon of New Haven; seven grandchildren, Paige Blum of Oswego, Sara Burnett of Hannibal, Steven and Erica Payne of Michigan, and Amber, Brian and Joshua Woolson of Atlanta, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. Carol was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, friend and a well respected housekeeper for many Oswego area residents. Carol has touched the lives of many people with her kind heart and caring ways. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Carol enjoyed her flower beds, bird watching, and maintaining her home with her husband since their marriage on April 30, 1999. Yacoboni, Anthony February 19, 2005 Anthony Yacoboni, 82, of Liverpool, passed away Saturday at the Veterans Hospital. Mr. Yacoboni was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; at the age of nine he moved to Utica, grew up there until he went to Syracuse University where he graduated and stayed in Syracuse. He retired from Warner National after 20 years of service as a technical draftsman and advertising artist. Later in life Anthony worked for Thorne Sewing Machine as a repairman. He was a veteran of WWII, completed 31 combat missions over Europe, and received the Distinguished Flying Cross, as well as various other air medals. Mr. Yacoboni was a member of the Pentecostal Christian Assembly Church. Predeceased by his wife Marie Yacoboni in 1988. Survivors: his son, Jerry (Toni Marie) Yacoboni of Liverpool; granddaughter, Kimberly of Liverpool; grandson, Gerard of Liverpool; several nieces and nephews.
