Auth, 75, a life resident of Syracuse, went to be with the Lord on Friday. Patricia, the daughter of Anna Mae and Dorr Putnam, born on February 12, 1930, was a graduate of St. Lucy's Academy in 1947. Patricia was a telephone op-erator at the New York Telephone Company from 1947 to 1953, where she met her lifelong best friend, Clifford H. Auth. Patricia left the New York Telephone Company in 1953 to be a homemaker and with her husband to raise their six children. In addition, Patricia served as a Girl Scout leader, was a founding member of the local Home Bureau chapter and held office on St. Daniel's Parish Council for many years. Patricia retired from Addis-Dey's Department Store, where she worked for 15 years. She was a member and officer of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary for 15 years. Patricia and her husband Clifford took great pride in being members in the Franciscan Associate Program for many years. Patricia was predeceased by her sister, Rosemary McCrohan; brother-in-law, Lynn Holley; and sisters-in-law, Marion Holley and Marigert Putnam. Sister was born in Camden, NJ, to the late Joseph Gilmore and Regina Schneider, and named Maria. She entered the Sisters of St. Francis on September 8, 1941, and professed Final Vows on August 22, 1947. Sister earned a BS in education from the College of St. Rose and an MS in special education from Syracuse University. She was a teacher for a number of years in Utica, Albany, Amsterdam and Fairmount. In 1966 Sister ministered to children in special education in New Jersey and became a director of the special education program in the diocese of Camden, NJ, until she retired. Lewis, Milton Raymond February 24, 2005 Milton Raymond Lewis died at age 78 on February 24, 2005, from a long illness at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Gordon and Bonnie Peck. Milton was a Navy SEAL and trained women to become certified welders in the United States Navy during the Korean War and trained an avid drummer. He worked at Schroeder Machine and O.M. Edwards as a certified welder and at Upstate Medical center in the physical plant for 30 years as a certified electrician. Pieniazek, 67, formerly of Liverpool, passed away surrounded by family on February 15, 2005 in Fort Worth, Texas. Edward was born on May 22, 1937, in Poland. After WWII his family came to the United States and eventually settled in Buffalo, NY. He became employed by Niagara Mohawk and moved his family to Liverpool in 1970. He was a mechanical engineer and worked for Niagara Mohawk for 30 years. Through the years he was very active with the Polish community both in Buffalo as well as the Polish Heritage Club of Syracuse. Edward is survived by his two children, Jadzia P. Ajemian of Mansfield, TX, and Adam Pieniazek of Baldwinsville, NY, and his former wife, Genevieve Pieniazek of Baldwinsville, NY. Born in Punxatawny, PA, Faustina grew up in Olean, NY, where she graduated from St. Bonaventure University. She moved to Rochester, NH, in 1950 with her husband Arthur andchildren David and Valerie. Faustina became deeply involved in elementary and secondary education and for 25 years served as teacher, guidance counselor, assistant superintendent of the Rochester school district and went on to become the first woman superintendent of schools in the state of New Hampshire. She received several master's degrees from the University of New Hampshire and retired in 1983. An avid golfer and bridge player, she enjoyed her retirement and subsequently moved to Greenpoint Senior Residence in Liverpool in 1998 to be closer to her daughter.
