Over the past 60 years, her influence on thousands of students throughout the Central New York area is immeasurable but recognizable by the number of students who have pursued their own professional careers in music and the countless recitals and entertainment programs she provided for the Syracuse community. In past years Genevieve hosted her own radio show on WFBL devoted to Italian music and culture. She, along with her students, has been recently featured on The Italians, seen on local Syracuse television channel 7. Her devotion to her Italian heritage fueled the many programs she assembled with her students, performing at venues such as the New York State Fair, The Syracuse Festa Italiana, Columbus Day Parades and for cultural, civic and charitable organizations. She has received numerous awards and citations at the state and local level for her musical and cultural efforts and was honored as Grand Marshall of the Columbus Day Parade. She was a member of Music Teachers National Association, The Professional Musicians of CNY, Local 78, Sigma Alpha Iota National Music Honorary, Central New York Music Teachers Association, New York State School Music Association and Music Educators National Conference.
