Blair, 94, former Liverpool resident, died Thursday night at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA. He was born in Malone and was a resident of Liverpool 68 years, retiring from Carrier Corp. after 30 years. His wife Florence died in 1995. Surviving are two sons, Alan A. Blizzard, 73, of Ottawa, IL, and formerly of Jamesville, died Thursday in Ottawa. Born in Syracuse, Mrs. Blizzard was a resident of Jamesville until 1981, when she moved to Ottawa. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Naplate, IL. Mrs. Blizzard was predeceased by her parents, Pasquale and Loretta D'Orazio, and her husband, James Gorman Blizzard, who died in 2001. Surviving are two sons, James (Barbara) of Washington, DC, and Daniel (Mary) Blizzard of Ottawa, IL; two daughters, Linda Haensch of N. December 30, 2004 William "Barnum" Burns, 67, of Manlius, died Thursday. Barnum was a lifelong resident of the Syracuse area and partner of Burns Brothers Concrete Construction Corp. of Fayetteville. He graduated from St. John the Evangelist High School in Syra-cuse and Dean Academy in Massachusetts. He attended LeMoyne College. Barnum was predeceased by his wife, Catherine "Cathy" Burns; his parents, Emmett J. Burns and Loretta Tormey Burns; a sister, Anne Tormey Burns; and a sister-in-law, Marianne Moran Burns. Lottie Kosecki, 101, of Syracuse, died Saturday at Syracuse Home Assn. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, Lottie was employed by Crouse-Hinds for 26 years, retiring in 1970. A communicant of St. Daniel's Church, she was a memberof the Union International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #2084 and the Crouse-Hinds Quarter Century Club. Her husband Joseph died in 1951. Her son Edward and her daughter Mildred Gass also died earlier. Surviving are her sons, John F. Daniel Moore, 80, of Wynantskill, husband of Anne V. Heenan Moore, died suddenly on Saturday, January 1, 2005, at Samaritan Hospital, Troy. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Elizabeth Monahan Moore. He was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, class of 1942, and Hudson Valley Community College, both in Troy. He served as a sergeant with the 8th Air Force in England during World War II and was employed at Al Tech Steel in Watervliet as chief test engineer of the metallurgy department for 30 years, retiring in 1987. He was a communicant and charter member of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill, an avid golfer, a member of the American Metallurgical Assn. and a member of the 2nd Air Division Assn. of the 8th Air Force. He was predeceased by a son, Richard D. Moore; two sisters, Catherine Connor and Anne Wagar; and four brothers: Edward, John, Joseph and James Moore. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Patricia (Patrick) Howlett of Canastota; two granddaughters, Amy (Dennis) O'Connell of Victor, NY, and Jennifer (David) Bosco of Rochester; two great-granddaughters, Samantha and Sarah O'Connell of Victor; and several nieces and nephews. Pallotta December 31, 2004 Thomasina "Tommy" Rose Pallotta, 83, of Clay, passed away Friday at Birchwood Health Care Center. Born in Syracuse, she was a life resident of the Syracuse area and was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church. Tommy was a grad-uate of North High School, attended Cazenovia College and Albany State to earn her master's degree in education. She was an assistant principal at Germantown High School, south of Albany, and was an assistant dean at Montpelier College in Vermont. Thomasina retired from the North Syracuse School District, where she taught 9th- to 12th-grade social studies and was head of the social studies department. She volunteered at Birchwood Health Care Center and was a member of the Teachers' Association. Survivors: her sister, Libbie Restuccia of Liverpool; several nieces and nephews. He lived in Syracuse until moving to Camillus in 1955. A graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy, Walt also attended Powelson Business Institute and Syracuse Uni-versity. He was a salesman for Land O' Lakes Creameries for 41 years, retiring in 1978. He was an Air Force veteran of WWII, charter member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and volunteer for more than 30 years with 5,000+ hours at Community General Hospital. Surviving is his wife of 54 years, the former Vera E. Klock. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Craig French officiating. Born in Warren, OH, he attended LeMoyne College and retired as an operating engineer from Bristol-Meyers Squibb. Richard was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Cicero, Knights of Columbus Council #3717 and was a life member of VFW Post #7290, both of North Syracuse. A Navy veteran of WW II, he served in the South Pacific and received three battle stars. A son, Richard M. Stocker, died in November. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley; children: Karen (Richard) Stocker-LaQuidari of Liverpool, Susan (Donald) Betts of Camillus, Diane (Timothy) Meyers of Perryville and James Stocker of Baldwinsville; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Stocker of Sodus; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
