Marilyn, the devoted wife of the late Arthur L. Cowburn, grew up in the Millerton, PA area. She is survived by her brothers, Richard Seeley of Tempe, AZ, Jonas Seeley and wife Rose Mary, of Pine City, NY; four nieces, Jan, Lynda, Mary, and Kathy; nephew, Jeff; several great-nephews and nieces; four stepsons, David and Richard Cowburn of Cicero, NY, Douglas Cowburn and wife Patty of Waterville, NY, Art Cowburn of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Marilyn was a strong advocate of, and instrumental in, the founding of the Chemung County Cerebral Palsy Foundation, in conjunction with her mother, the late Mildred Seeley of Millerton, PA. Marilyn selflessly devoted a large portion of her life to the home care of her son, the late Larry W. Hough, and while a resident of North Syracuse, NY, was a volunteer for the Suicide Crisis Center as a hotline operator assisting teenagers in crisis. In her spare time, Marilyn was an avid bowler. Her silent, yet strong, conviction and passionate devotion to those she loved and to the communities she lived in will be greatly missed. He was a 1939 graduate of Jamaica High Schooland later graduated from St. Johns University. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, stationed with the Pacific Fleet in Panama. Mr. Cross was a member of the Atonement Lutheran Church and was a devout Christian who believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was loved by his family and friends and took a deep interest in his family. His other interests included oil painting, theater, boating, and American Mountain Man Reenactment. He was a friend of Bill's for 30 years. For the past few years she split her time between her home in Syracuse and her condo in Laguna Woods, CA. Marie was an avid Bridge player and a member and officer of many clubs over the years including Syracuse Fire Departments Ladies Auxiliary, Twins & Triplets Club, St. Joseph's Senior Citizens Guild of the Town of Geddes. She was a communicant of St. Charles of Borromeo Church, Westvale. He was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran, a member of theVFW, DAV Chapter 30 and the Salina Seniors. Mr. Gambocorto had been employed by Swift & Co. for 36 years before retiring in 1982. His wife, Genevieve Amato Gambocorto died in May 2000 and his son, Neil died in 1996. He is survived by a son, Frank R. She was born March 21, 1921, in Finley, ND, a daughter of Fred and Bertha Goodnow Kastler, was a 1937 graduate of the Sandy Creek High School and a 1938 graduate of Deiberts Business School. On September 15, 1940, she married Franklin E. Hill in Greenboro, NY. They lived in the Redfield area since 1952, moving from Cazenovia. Mrs. Hill retired in 1982 from the Griffis Air Force Base as a systems analyst where she was employed since 1960. They wintered in the Fort Myers, FL, area following retirement. She was a member of the Redfield Community Church and served on the Sandy Creek Central School Board for 11 years. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Judy and Keith Tompkins, Redfield, NY, Pamela and Timothy VanDusen, Charlotte, NC; a son, Frederick "Rip" and Tina Hill, Camden, NY; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lillian and Carl Ridgeway, Lacona, NY, Sally and Ralph Bettinger, Mannsville, NY, Donna Reynolds, Lacona, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was a school teacher in Springfield Center, outside Cooperstown, and a substitute teacher in the Syracuse and surrounding area school districts after she married. June was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Liverpool, and a former member of the Eastern Star. She was predeceased by her husband, John H., who died in 1992. Piasecki, Stephanie M. January 4, 2005 Stephanie M. Piasecki of Westvale, passed away on January 4, 2005. Born in Akron, Ohio, she spent most of her life in Central New York. She graduated from Chittenango High School and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Stephanie traveled with the Priscilla Beach Theater Players throughout Cape Cod at the off- Broadway Cherry Lane Theater. She also acted and directed with the Syracuse Little Theater. After her marriage, she acted with the Westvale Players. Stephanie was a secretary at the Town Line Road General Motors Company., where she met her future husband. Stephanie is predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Walter V. Piasecki. She is Survived by her son, Stephen J.(Krista) Piasecki of Delmar, NY; and daughter, Tatiana (John) Mazur of Guilderland, NY; three grandchildren, Maeve Piasecki, Anastasia and Veronika Mazur; sister, Jewel Cline of Green Valley, AZ and several nieces and nephews. Wells, Teresa Walpole January 5, 2005 Teresa Walpole Wells, a former resident of 3211 County rt. 57, Oswego, died Wednesday in St. Luke Health Services after a long illness. She was born in Oswego. Mrs. Wells worked for the Easy Bargain center in Fulton and General Electric, Syracuse. She was predeceased by her husband Alson Wells in 2002 and her son Richard Wells in 1990. Mrs. Wells is survived by four sons, Thomas (Gerry) Wells of Oswego, James (Deborah) Wells of Fulton, Robert (Sheila) Wells of LA, and Todd (Linda) Wells of FL; two daughters, Teri Wells of Mexico, Mary (Bill) Goutermout of Fulton; five brothers, Thomas Walpole of Redfield, David Walpole and Richard Walpole, both of Oswego, Donald Walpole of Rochester, and Ronald Walpole of Rhode Island; one sister, Mary Springsteen of Alabama; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Worth, Linda Delmonico December 30, 2004 Linda Delmonico Worth, 62, died December 30, 2004, in Manchester, NH, where she had resided since 1972. Prior to that, she was a resident of DeWitt, NY. Her parents, Dr. E. Joseph Delmonico in 1979 and Margaret Delmonico in 1991, pre-deceased her. Linda was a 1960 graduate of The Convent School and a 1964 graduate of Syracuse University, where she received a degree in speech and hearing therapy. Survivors: four children, Karen Reagan of Anchorage, AK, Maureen (Reagan) Fritz of Sunapee, NH, Mark Reagan of Broomfield, CO, and Laura Reagan of Portsmouth, NH; her sister, Susan Delmonico Ross of Camillus, NY; two nieces, Lesley Dolan of Syracuse, Meredith Dolan Jacobs of Merrick, Long Island; a great-niece, Sara Jacobs; an aunt, Mary Winters of Arlington, VA; and many cousins and friends. He retired in 2000 as Senior Systems Analyst for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Rochester. He was a kind and gentle soul, wise, compassionate, thoughtful, hardworking and his sense of humor brought joy and laughter to many people. Once an enthusiastic cyclist, aviator and downhill skier, his joy for adventure lives on in his children. He is predeceased by his mother and father, William F. and Ella M. (Chrisfield) Worthen. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Anna Marie (Renna) Worthen of Webster; daughter, Wendy M. Worthen of Scottsdale, AZ; son, William J. Worthen and his partner, David J.
