She was a resident of Marcellus for more than 35 years, and had worked 48 years for New York Telephone Company. Barbara was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Kate Migdal of Liverpool, Ann Marie of Eugene, OR, and Stacey of Maryland; one son, John T. of Baltimore, MD; two sisters, Beverly Klug of Syracuse, and Marianne Scallion of Florida; three brothers, Robert McCarthy of Cicero, John and Dennis McCarthy both of Syracuse; and a grandson, Jonah Charnick of Colorado. D'Imperio, Elizabeth (Giannini) D'Imperio January 12, 2005 Elizabeth (Giannini) D'Imperio, age 81, longtime resident of Syracuse and currently of Canastota, passed away Wednesday in Oneida, NY. She had been a communicant of St. Daniel's Church in Syracuse for over 40 years and currently St. Agatha'sChurch in Canastota. She was an avid bowler, a top-notch seamstress who loved to fish and play cards with her grandchildren. Her husband, Carmine J. D'Imperio died October 7, 1993 and a step-son, Ray Demperio in October 2004. She is survived by a daughter, Maria R. D'Imperio and her husband, Michael Nelson of Canastota; a son, Francis J. and his wife, Susan D'Imperio of Madison, NY; two stepchildren, Ida Libertone of Syracuse and Carmen Demperio of Westvale; five grandsons; five great-granddaughters; one great-grandson and stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Mary Matthews of Gardenier, NY and Rosina Giannini of Madison, NY; a brother, Anthony and his wife, Tess Giannini of New Hartford, CT; also several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Murray Dunn, Esq., age 89, of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Syracuse, NY, died on January 11, 2005 at Hope Hospice South, Ft. Myers. Born on February 7, 1915 in Syracuse, NY to Peter and Kathryn Dunn, he had lived in Ft. Myers since 1988. Mr. Dunn received his law degree from Syracuse University and was a partner in the law firm of Mc Elroy and Dunn, Syracuse until the age of 70. He served in the US Army during WW II and was a faithful and devoted Catholic, who served as a trustee for many years at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Onondaga Hill, Syracuse. He and his family enjoyed spending the summers at their camp in Eagle Bay, NY. He enjoyed waterskiing and snow skiing and in his later years he enjoyed collecting shells in Florida. Mr. Dunn was a devoted husband and father who always put his family first, he is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jeanne R. (Wheeler); his daughters, Anne (John) Hart of Clinton, NY and Cathy (John) Darche of New Hartford, NY; his sons, Michael, MD (Cindy) of Pittsford, NY, Stephen (Bonnie) of Ticonderoga, NY, Vincent (Pam) of Orange Park, FL and James (Shelly) of Plum, PA; and seven grandchildren. Greene, died December 20, 2004 at Florida Hospital, Deland, FL. Betty was born on August 15, 1922 in Amsterdam, NY to Helen and William Traver. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Anne's in Amsterdam. In 1945 she married Clifford F. Greene to whom she was married for over 55 years. She received her BA from St. Lawrence University, St. Lawrence, NY and her BS from SUNY at Albany, NY. She was a full-time high school teacher for two years after graduating from SUNY and was a substitute teacher for approximately 10 years in the Liverpool, NY School District. She resided in Liverpool more than 20 years prior to retiring to Florida. For the past 20 years she and her late husband had been "snow birds," spending summers at their summer home on Cross Lake, NY and the remainder of their time in Deltona/Daytona, FL. Betty enjoyed international travel and bridge. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, American Association of University Women, Daughters of the American Revolution, Deland Republican Club and Queen Mother of the Woodland Towers Red Hat Society. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Anne Greene of Baldwinsville, NY; and her son, Gary Francis Greene of Seattle, WA. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. and Mary Dewan Crandall and the wife of the late Edward J. Jacobs. She was a graduate of Saint Francis De Sales School and Catholic Central High School. She had been employed by New York State as a keypunch operator and had also been a homemaker. She had been a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and St. Jude's Church, and a member of the Legion of Mary and the Altar Rosary Society at each church. Mary also had been a member of the East Side Senior Citizens and the Ida Hillers. She was a member of the Hannibal Church for over 60 years. She previously worked at Sterling Co-op and retired from the Fulton Aluminum Works in 1976. She is predeceased by her husband, Floyd J. Robbins, Barbara December 28, 2004 A memorial service for Barbara Robbins, 69, Hannawa Falls, formerly of Watertown and Chaumont, will be held in Norfolk, New York, 11 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2005, at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk, New York, with the Rev. Andrew Amyot officiating. Mrs. Robbins died on December 28, 2004, at MetroHealth Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She had temporarily moved to Ohio to live with her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, while undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer which had been diagnosed in August 2004. During her treatment, her daughters made frequent extended visits to be with her and help in her care. Several sisters and brothers also made trips to Cleveland to be with her. Mrs. Robbins worked as a registered nurse for 38 years after graduating in 1956 from Mercy Hospital Nursing School in Watertown. After working in Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska, she returned in 1982 to Mercy Hospital, staying there until 1994. Mrs. Robbins also worked as a certified alcoholism counselor during her last two years at Mercy Hospital. Born June 13, 1935, in Massena, New York, to Francis and Marcella Marden Connelly, she graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School in 1953. She married J.W. Healey of Hardy, Nebraska, in 1960. To this marriage three children were born, Joseph Healey, Westlake, Ohio, Sandra "Sandi" Hood, Dunedin, Florida, and Diane Faylo, Adams Center, New York. This marriage ended in divorce. She married Carlton "Carl" Robbins in 1997. The couple lived in Chaumont until his death in 2001 and she moved to Hannawa Falls in 2003. Mrs. Robbins owned and operated Barbara's Maternity Shop on Public Square in Watertown from 1985 until 1988. She volunteered as an HIV-AIDS educator and Disaster Services worker with the Black River Chapter of the American Red Cross in Watertown, including traveling to Long Island in December 1991 during storm surge flooding. Mrs. Robbins was also a member of the Jefferson County Democratic Committee in 1992. Surviving besides her son and two daughters are a daughter-in-law, Eileen Seeholzer, and grandson, Ian Healey; four sisters, Theresa (Art) Perkins, Colton, Joan (Tom) Warren, Blasdell, Trish (Ken) Potocar and Phyllis Hipp, Norwood; three brothers, Richard (Gilda) Connelly, Baldwinsville, Lawrence (Margaret) Connelly, Norfolk, and Robert (Lee) Connelly), Mattydale. January 11, 2005 Henrietta M. Sarna, 87, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2005. She was born to John and Harriet Janiak in Schenectady, NY on August 16, 1917. She married John J. Sarna on May 29, 1941. They moved to Phoenix fromSyracuse, NY in 1978 to be closer to their sons, John and Allen and their families. She is preceded in death by her husband, John; her son, John, and her grandson, John. She is survived by her son, Allen and wife, Charlene; daughter-in-law, Lynette; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Born in Syracuse, NY, on September 18, 1905, to John P. and Nellie Carey Gorman, she was a member of the first graduating class of Cathedral HighSchool, and then the Syracuse City Normal School. She taught in area schools until her marriage to Dr. Ferdinand J. Schoeneck, a well known obstetrician during the 30's, 40's and 50's. They were married on September 22, 1928, in St. Anthony's Church. During World War II, Helen and her family spent the years 1942-1946 in Newport, RI, Quantico, and Portsmouth, VA, while her husband volunteered his services as a Navy doctor at these bases. Helen was a member of numerous hospital and medical auxiliaries, and served several terms as president of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Therese Church and their Altar and Rosary Society, dating back to the purchase of their home on Scott Ave. in 1931. In 1999 she became a resident of the Bernadine Apartments. Helen was affiliated in her later years with Home Aides in the business office. She was a volunteer for many years at Hope for Bereaved and was a loyal member of the Catholic Women's Club and the Newcomer's Club, where she pursued her favorite hobby, playing bridge. One of her most enjoyable occupations was spending time at her Otisco Lake summer home, which had been purchased in 1938. Here she always was surrounded by members of her large loving family. She will be best remembered by all for her kindness and friendliness. She was predeceased by her husband, F.J. Schoeneck, in 1971; her granddaughter, Mary T. Schoeneck in 1977; two brothers, Paul F. Gorman in 1970 and J. Daniel Gorman in 1985; and her sister, Margaret T. Gorman in 1996. Surviving are her sons, F. John (Carol) Schoeneck and William H. (Barbara) Schoeneck of Syracuse, and David G. (Therese) Schoeneck of Marietta, NY; and a daughter, Christine M. (Keith) Hart of Hermosa Beach, CA; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marion G. Mahoney; and 10 nieces and nephews. Wright, 70, of Hastings, NY, died at home on Thursday after a long bout with cancer. He was born July 29, 1934 to Emma (Cerio) and Edward Wright of Canastota. Upon graduation from Canastota High School hejoined the Army in 1953, with an honorable discharge in November 1961. His happiness in life came from helping others. Roger was a friend to all. He was an avid Democrat who greatly admired J.F.K. and Bill Clinton. He had a personal invitation to attend the opening of the Clinton Library, but he was unable to attend due to his illness. Roger also admired Frank Sinatra and Muhammad Ali. Notre Dame and S.U. were his favorite teams. He owned and operated "Omni Sales" for 40 years. Roger is predeceased by his grandchild, Shannon M. Hunter on December 27, 1982. He is survived by Janet B. (Dupra) Wright, his former wife of Fort Covington, NY; three sons, John (Charlene Gilson) Wright of Sandy Creek, NY, Mark Wright of GA, and Rodger (Brenda) Wright of GA; three daughters, Deborah McCartney of GA, Nancy (John Powell) of GA, and Rebecca Wright of GA; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward (Carol) Wright of AZ.; a sister, Gloria (Sam) DeVencenzo of Canastota, NY; and many friends and relatives.
