The daughter of the late Karl E. and the late Estella F.Womer Wolff, she was a community service worker employed by Onondaga County Dept. of Social Services, a member of Cicero Republican Committee and former member of the American Legion. Genesee St., Chittenango, died Thursday in North Carolina. Mr. Devendorf was a life resident of Chittenango. He was a graduate of SUNY Oswego and taught auto mechanics for 20 years at the Onondaga-Madison BOCES. He previously was an auto mechanic at the former Pat's Chevrolet in Chittenango for 20 years. Mr. Devendorf was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and later served in the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Marines. For many years he was a scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 11 in Chittenango. He attended the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, the former Jeanne Hicks; three sons, William L. (Dody) of Chittenango, John L. of Rochester and Steven W. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Giacobbi. Verna worked with her husband in Giacobbi Excavating and later became an avid antique enthu-siast. She owned and operated Verna's Antiques. She was a former president of Convent School Mothers' Club, a member of St. Therese Society, a member of St. Anthony Society at Our Lady of Pompei Church and a member of The Daughters of Columbus. Verna is survived by a sister, Lena (James V.) Sgroi; three children: Peter R. Giacobbi of Camillus, Roz Giacobbi-Nichols and her husband Ronald Nichols of Fayetteville, and Jean Rizzo of Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren: Michael and Vincent Scaravillo; Peter Giacobbi; Elissa Soulia; Neil Giacobbi; Karen, Kristine and Michele Rizzo; four great-grandchildren: Vincent and Anthony Scaravillo, Sophia Scaravillo and Anabel Giacobbi; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Golden, Catherine Lynn December 31, 2004 Catherine Lynn Golden, 38, formerly of Marcellus, died Friday, December 31, 2004, at Dominican Hospital, Santa Cruz, CA. She was born in Syracuse. Catherine graduated from Marcellus High School in 1984, where she was an outstanding athlete in gym-nastics and track. She distinguished herself as a member of the track team at the University of Vermont, graduating in 1988. In 1998, she was inducted into the UVM Athletic Hall of Fame. Catherine went on to earn a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Florida. During her graduate studies, she did research with NASA scientists and went on to work for NASA for a number of years. She worked for the Department of Defense as a manager of research projects. Catherine lived life to the fullest; she was a licensed pilot, rock climber, snow boarder, mountain biker and surfer. Survivors: her parents, Paula Golden of Camillus and John Golden of Beaufort, SC; and sisters, Laura and Seana Golden of Santa Cruz, CA. Jaquint, Florence C. January 12, 2005 Florence C. Jaquint, 83, passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side on Wednesday at Francis House. A native of Syracuse, she spent the winters in Madeira Beach, Florida, with her husband of 62 years, Patrick S., whodied in 2000. A former employee of Easy Washer and G.E., she retired from Syracuse Savings Bank. Florence was a dedicated woman who loved her family above all else. She was predeceased by her son Carl D. in 1990. Kittredge, Daniel November 22, 2004 Daniel Kittredge, 53, died in Atlanta, GA. He was born to William and Elizabeth Kittredge and was a 1970 graduate of Corcoran High School. She en-joyed travel and writing, having had a few poems published. Charter member of the Lyncourt Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary in the 1940s. Formerly very active with the Republican Party in Syracuse and Daytona Beach. Attended St. Paul Catholic Church in Daytona Beach, FL. Predeceased by her husband, James Joseph Luzzi. He was a 1927 graduate of Baldwinsville Academy. Pete, also known as "Dry Dock," worked as a dredger for the NYS Barge Canal for 14 years. He was a 55-year member of Local#60. Pete worked 25 years as an iron worker for Syracuse Rigging Co., retiring in 1972. He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. Pete was a member of the Camillus Elks Lodge BPOE #2367, the Elbridge Rod and Gun Club, and NARVE #53. He summered many years at Brennan Beach, enjoyed traveling and also reading. His first wife, the former Mary Coyne, died in 1944. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Mary Niebieski; two daughters, Mary Ann (Dick) Kopp of Syracuse and Jeannine (Bud) Campbell of Elbridge; one sister, Catherine Rice of Baldwinsville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
