Loretta was born in Syracuse and was a resident of Brewerton most of her life before moving to Jacksonville, FL, 14 years ago. She was predeceased by herhusband Robert in 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine Troino and Loretta Merritt of FL; two sisters, Helen Wall of Brewerton and Virginia Hagerman of Baldwinsville; two grandchildren, Cheryl Martin of WA and Hollis Merritt of FL; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Sofia Martin; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calabria, 49, passed away at his home in Syracuse on Tuesday of a heart attack. John was predeceased by his parents, Edith and Orlando; a sister, Marianne Monaghan; a brother, David A. Combes, 86, of Fulton, died Saturday at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton. Born in Ira, she lived in the North Victory-Fulton area all her life. In 1979 she retired from Nestle Company, Fulton, after more than 35 years. She had previ-ously worked at Cramer's Meat Market in Red Creek. Mrs. Combes was the treasurer for the Local Food and Chocolate Workers' Union. She was a member of the Fulton Men's Garden Club, A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Granby Center United Methodist Church, Granby Center United Methodist Women, Granby Center Firemen's Auxiliary and the Oswego County Firemen's Auxiliary. She also served as the day chairperson for the Red Cross Bloodmobile. Mrs. Combes was predeceased by her husband, Edgar M. Combes, in 1983. She is survived by a daughter, Eleanor Thomas; two granddaughters, Terri (Jim) Proud and Karen (Ted) Williams; an aunt; three great-grandchildren: Laura, Christine and Brianna; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Coye, Hannah E. January 14, 2005 Hannah E. Coye, 6, of North Syracuse, died on Friday, January 14, 2005, after a long, courageous battle with cancer at Arnold Palmer Hospital in Florida. Born in Syracuse, Hannah was in the first grade at Nate Perry Elementary School and a baptizedmember of Pitcher Hill Community Church. Surviving are her parents, Robert and Deborah Coye; a sister, Sarah; two brothers, Matthew and Joshua, all at home; maternal grandparents, Douglas and Alli Stetson; paternal grandmother, Katherine G. January 15, 2005 Vito J. Fragola, 84, a life resident of Syracuse, died Saturday in St. Joseph's Hospital. Vito was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who worked all his life. He especially loved nature and working outdoors, evenduring the most brutal of Syracuse's winters. He enjoyed his Army days and his travels through the American Southwest, California and Panama. He was proud of his Army service, and he was one of six brothers who served in World War II. People responded warmly to his gentle and caring nature and his shy smile, and marveled at his prodigious memory for the smallest details of his life. Vito had a poet's soul and an artist's sensibility. He was always ready to help others. He was a communicant of St. Daniel's Church and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been employed by Carrier Corporation for 32 years, before retiring in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Mary Rose (Cavallaro) Fragola; two sons, Anthony N. Fragola of Greensboro, SC, and Michael A. Fragola of Great Falls, VA; a daughter, Florine A. Gilinsky of Syracuse; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Rocco Fragola of Syracuse; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Romanick, Agnes Miller January 16, 2005 Agnes Miller Romanick died Sunday at Loretto, Oswego. Born in Lysander, she was a longtime resident of Moyers Corners until moving to Fulton in 1993. Agnes was a homemaker for 54 years, enjoying her passion for cooking and takingcare of her family. She enjoyed camping for many years at Hidden Harbor Marina in Point Peninsula, NY. She was a former member of the Moyers Corners Fire Dept. Auxiliary and the Ladies of the Moose, Baldwinsville. She was predeceased by her son Chester in 1978. Born in Aiken, SC, Ike retired in 1989 after 32 years at Van Duyn Home & Hospital as a laundry supervisor. He was an avid deerand small game hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed gardening.
