She worked as a secretary for several years for the Fidelity & Deposit Corp. in Syracuse in the mid 1970's. Kathleen attended St. Margaret's RC Church in Mattydale. She was predeceased by her father Alexander Furgal in 1997 and her son Michael Barry in 2002. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert C.; a son, Christopher Barry, living at home; her mother, Victoria Furgal of Liverpool; her brother, Alexander Furgal of Pennellville; two grandchildren, Robbie and Kristy Barry; many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was born December 11, 1906, the daughter of George Francis McGowan and Katherine Frances (Doran) McGowan. On June 12, 1937, Dorothy married John A. Byrnes Jr. at St. Agnes Church, Utica. She was born April 1, 1950, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, andhad lived in DeWitt several years before moving to California. She graduated from Jamesville-DeWitt High School in 1968 and attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. She married Dennis LaFont in 1989 and they lived in Watsonville, California. She and her husband ran LaFont's Antique and Estate Jewelry at the Village Fair Antiques in Aptos, California. She is survived by her husband Dennis; her mother Jean O. Sister was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Gaston and Helen (Woolever) St. Pierre. She wasin her 58th year of her life as a sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Sister Theresa Bernard was a graduate of St. Anthony's School in Syracuse and received bachelor's and master's degrees from the College of St. Rose, Albany. She taught in schools of the Syracuse and Albany Dioceses, including St. Brigid's and St. Patrick's, Syracuse, and served as principal of St. Paul's, Mechanicville, St. Anthony of Padua, Endicott, and St. James' School, Albany. Sister also was a librarian at Bishop Grimes High School, Syracuse. Since 1996 Sister was engaged in family ministry, giving faith-filled support to those dearest to her. Sister Theresa was also an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond, and a sister, Rita Donigan. She is survived by her sister, Mary St. Pierre, with whom she resided; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Ellen St. Pierre of Skaneateles; and many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was a member of the United Church of Fayetteville and active in the church choir. She was a member of the singing groups "Sweet Memories" and "Sentimental Serenade", both of which visited the elderly in the nursing homes. Survivors: her husband of 31 years, Charles H. of Manlius; a son, Matthew Willyard of Manlius; a daughter, Christine Willyard of Manlius; her parents, James and Rosalie Hammerberg of Arkansas; two sisters, Karen Walker of Illinois and Carol Routh of Arizona. Wolff, 80, of Liverpool and Alexandria Bay, NY, passed away Monday at his home. He was born in Syracuse, residing, and was a resident in Liverpool for 50 years. He was a City of Syracuse firefighter, and foreman of the SyracuseUniversity Carpenter Shop from which he retired in 1991. An Army veteran of WWII, he served in the European Theater with the 256th Field Artillery Battalion. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Arlene Heppeler, in 1993. William was the beloved father of Mark J. Wolff, K.M., of Coral Gables, FL, Thomas Wolff of Simsbury, CT, Dana Wolff of Syracuse, Susan Campolieta of Liverpool, Marybeth Grace of Dublin, OH, Christina Wolff of Manlius, and Renee Wolff of Liverpool. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
