Dickson, Myrtle L. January 27, 2005 Myrtle was born in Eastwood May 1, 1907. She attended school there and graduated in 1923. She attended business school and worked for an insurance company until she met and married Frank Dickson at Eastwood Methodist Church onAugust 30, 1930. Frank and Myrtle moved to Cicero in 1931. They started a flower business and during WW II they switched to vegetables and animals. They had a vegetable and fruit stand for over 50 years. Myrtle drove school bus for 20 years for the North Syracuse School District and was loved and admired by the thousands of school children she drove to and from school. She was a lifelong member of Cicero United Methodist Church. Myrtle was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1985; by her son, Harold (Joe) in 2004; and by her granddaughter Deborah. Myrtle is survived by her son Richard and his wife Lois; seven grandchildren, Joseph Dickson, Kathleen Dolbear, Lorieanne Byers, Jacqueline Santimaw, Deniese Smith, Christine Dygert and Harold Dickson. She leaves 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Shirley Reese. Myrtle was a precious soul who influenced many people, loved all and was loved by all. She married Henry Wild in 1940; he died on March 21, 1990. She was employed by Altmar Elementary School and country schools for 42 years retiring in 1977. She was a member of the Pulaski Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski Historical Society, Halfshire Historical Society, Richland, and Williamstown Historical Society.
