She began her successful career in the '40s, designing costumes for Billy Rose's Diamond Horseshoe and the Latin Quarter. In the '50s she was the executive designer for ABC-TV, supervising 36 weekly shows, including the Merv Griffin Show and the Perry Como Show. Audre designed the breakthrough staff uniforms for the Four Seasons Restaurant, the Forum of the Twelve Caesars and the Windows on the World atop the World Trade Center. She also designed uniforms for Helmsley Palace in New York City. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Mollica of Syracuse, NY; and three nieces and three nephews. A native of Syracuse, he graduated from Assumption High School, where he played football and basketball and earned a bachelor's degree in economics fromLeMoyne College. He worked for the family's paving company, John Schultz & Sons, before forming his own international marketing firm, Schultz & Associates, which began locally and spread to 28 countries. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Minoa, and a member of Kiwanis and the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid SU fan and enjoyed movies and golfing with friends. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. Seneca Turnpike, Unit 711, Syracuse, was born May 23, 1903, to the late Delia and Ambrose Fontenot of Lake Charles, LA. She departed this life on Thursday, January 27, after a long illness. Mrs. Simsmoved to Syracuse with family in the late '40s. She became an active member of Second Olivet Missionary Baptist Church and a community volunteer, serving throughout the years as captain of the Revelation Gospel Choir, SOMBC Kitchen Staff, Arts & Craft Sewing Circle, The Missionary Circle and Mothers' Board. Rellma was also a member of the NAACP and Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She retired from E.W. Edwards housekeeping staff in the late '70s and concentrated her time on the things she loved: church, family, cooking and sewing. "Gram," as she was referred to by everyone, was known for her savory Creole dishes and mouthwatering cakes and pies. She was also a self-taught seamstress, designing everything from knitwear and choir robes to the gowns for her grandson's wedding party. She celebrated her 100th birthday in the grand Mardi Gras tradition at the now defunct Phantom Club with many friends and family and well-wishers. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her granddaughter, Paris Lynne Harrell of Syracuse; one grandson, James Curtis (Nina) Harrell of Houston, TX; a favorite grandniece, Jackie Fontenot of Houston, TX; one great-grandson, Curtis Asaad, attending University of Houston Medical School; and a host of honorary grandchildren, relatives and friends.
