Cook Hospice Center in Grand Rapids, MI. Following his graduation from N. Syracuse High School, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps, serving during WWII in the Mediterranean Theater. Roy met his wife Judy while both were working at North Point Club; she passed away in 1990. Mr. Hayward attended Andrew Memorial Methodist Church and was a longtime employee of Niagara Mohawk Power Plant. He was a very private person and extremely independent. For leisure time, he enjoyed the outdoors and living near the water. He is survived by the Doug Harvey family of Rockford, Michigan. Born in Amsterdam, NY, she was a resident of the Baldwinsville/Liverpool area for the past 25 years. She retired from Fownes Gloves in Amsterdam and was a communicant of St. John's Church, Liverpool. Surviving are her son Robert (Donna) McCammon of Liverpool; granddaughters, Kimberly Pritchett, Christina McCammon; great-grandsons, Zachery and Tyler. Miller, 77, of Cazenovia, formerly of Worcester, MA, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, in Ann Arbor, MI. His wife of 33 years, Hessa (Sagenkahn) Miller, passed away in 1987. He leaves a son, Brian Miller of Lafayette, CO; two daughters, Jamie, wife of James Abelson of Ann Arbor, MI, and Robin Miller, wife of Bob Weiss of Needham, MA; five granddaughters, Sara and Leora Abelson, Hessa Miller, Jocelin and Chloe Weiss; a nephew and two nieces. He will also be missed by his partner, Carol Davison of Cazenovia, NY. His brother Sanford Miller passed away in 2004. He was born in Syracuse on October 19, 1927, a son of Joseph and Sadie (Berman) Miller. He was a professor in the department of Pharmacology at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Prior to that, from 1971 to 1991, he was a professor of Pharmacology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. He taught at Harvard Medical School from 1964 to 1967. He received his bachelor's degree from Cornell University in 1948. He earned a master's degree in zoology and a PhD in pharmacology from the University of Buffalo. He was a medical researcher in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, teacher and friend, he will be sorely missed by those who knew him. As a colleague said of him, "Tracy had that rare combination of extraordinary intelligence mixed with humility, something you don't often find in a person. He was non-judgmental, positive, and never had anything negative to say about anyone." His love of nature and the arts and his zest for life were inspirational. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 1, in Perlman Funeral Home, 1026 Main St., Worcester, MA. Burial will be in B'Nai Brith Cemetery. Memorial observance will be announced. Palmosky Jr., 73, of Liverpool, passed away Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. He was a veteran of the Korean War, member and past commander of American Legion Post 41 and its Color Guard, and a member of the VFW Post 9596. Proctor, 95, of Syracuse, minister's wife, mother, missionary and mentor, slipped into celestial sleep on Wednesday, June 29, one day before her 96th birthday. Widow of the late Rev. Emory Proctor, and former First Lady of the People's A.M.E. Zion Church, she was an independent caterer, and longtime employee of the Temple Society of Concord. Her life revolved around the church and her family. Active until the end, this week she attended two church services, a birthday luncheon, and was preparing to entertain family and friends over the Fourth of July weekend. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Mary Gray of the home; son, Dennis (Diane); grandsons, Raynell (Natalie), Emory II, Dennis Jr.; granddaughter, princess Diandra; goddaughter, Pamela Sharpe; and the newest addition, great-granddaughter Maria M. Rath, William John June 29, 2005 William John Rath, 93, of Hamlin, NY, went peacefully home to be with his Lord on June 29, 2005. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy Schildt Rath; grandchildren, Paula Leigh and Craig William Rath; son-in-law, Richard Bliss; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Rath. He is survived by his children, Paul (Sandy), Charles, David (Louise), and Anne (Tom) Elphick; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Leverenz; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was a retired dairy farmer and a lifelong resident of Hamlin and a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends. She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Harold D. and Ruth Radway Long. Mrs. Wilson was the wife of the late John E. Wilson who died in December of 1987. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Resurrection and served on its altar guild. She is survived by two daughters, Jane (Clair) Kretschmann of North Carolina, Jennifer (Charlie) Donahue of Liverpool, and one son, John L. (Jan) Wilson of Montana; six grandchildren, Jennifer and Edmund Kretschmann, Emily and Colleen Donahue, and Jeffrey and Joel Wilson. Memorial services will be held at the Church of the Resurrection at a time to be announced. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
