Gulley, James July 3, 2005 James Thomas Gulley, 80, of Hixson, TN, passed away at Memorial Hospital on July 3, 2005, of complications from Alzheimer's disease. Mr. Gulley was born in Chattanooga, raised in Soddy-Daisy and Dunlap, TN, and Columbus, GA, and was a communicant of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Chattanooga and was a former resident of Solvay, NY and communicant of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. He was an 18-year veteran of the U.S. Army Paratroopers and the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in WW II campaigns in North Africa, China and several Pacific islands. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a 4th-degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a loyal member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Prior to retirement in 2000, he was a long-haul truck- and intercity bus driver. He was also proud of his contributions as a welder and laborer at Solvay Process in Geddes. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Gulley, and his daughter, Jane Gulley Otero. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marguerite T. Kennedy Gulley. He was the devoted, respected and loving father of his children, Lynn (Fred) Jolly of Nicholasville, KY; Francine Parsons of Birmingham, AL; and Jim (Rose) Gulley of Penfield, NY and Terry Hitsman of Gouverneur, NY. He had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Williams, 48, of Syracuse, passed away at Community General Hospital on Friday. He was born in Alabama and had lived in Syracuse most of his life. Robert was employed by Able Medical for 15 years. He was a co-founder andmember of the Revival of Ezekiel Masonic Lodge #49. His father, Robert P. Williams died in 1996, and his son, Theodore King died in 1995. Predeceased by his daughter, Quonitra Waynette Williams in 1978. Wing, 72, of Central Square, died Thursday, June 16, 2005 at her home. Born in North Syracuse, she had lived in Central Square for 40 years. She was employed in Production Control at Syracuse China for 33 years before retiring in 1996. Marian was a member of First Baptist Church of Central Square. Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Ronald Wing; three daughters, Karen (Gregory) Briggs of Liverpool, Kathleen Williamson of Syracuse and Dawn (Bruce) Ernest of Bernhards Bay; a son, Charles (JoAnn) Keegan of Camden; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
