Frasier Danylak, age 89, of Gloversville, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, July 11, 2005 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville. She was born November 5, 1915 in Osborne's Bridge in the town of Northampton, one of 12 children of the late George and Lois Roosevelt Frasier. Susan was employed at General Electric Company in Schenectady during World War II, and also at the former S.S. Kresgee store in Gloversville. She later retired from the housekeeping department at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville. Mrs. Danylak was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Gloversville. On May 30, 1941 she married Walter W. Danylak who died September 14, 1975. She is survived by five sons, Walter W. Danylak Jr. of Syracuse, John L. Danylak (Barbara) of Nassau, Timothy F. Danylak of Gloversville, Dennis G. Danylak (Barbara) of Chicago, Illinois and Phillip J. Danylak (Shiela) of Johnstown; a brother, John Frasier of Broadalbin; two sisters, Abigal Frasier and Nellie Grandy of Johnstown; eight grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Miles Frasier, Oswald Frasier and Allen Frasier; and by her sisters, Florence Simonds, Mildred Sleezer, Mary Frasier, Jessie Sleezer and Isabelle White. Diehl, John July 9, 2005 John Diehl, assistant professor emeritus of English at Syracuse University and a leading New York State figure in the American Association of University Professors (AAUP), died Saturday, July 9, in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, of heart complications. He was 77. John Diehl is survived by his wife, Margrit Meinel Diehl; his five children, and seven grandchildren. He was born in Syracuse on September 17, 1957, the son of Joan Cooney Eckermann and the late Theodore C. Eckermann. Albert graduated from Buffalo State University, served hon-orably in the United States Navy and was a computer services consultant in the corporate sector. "Albie" was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, animated golfer, and gifted trumpeter. He was proud of his Irish heritage and regaled all with his sense-of-humor and storytelling. Affectionately known as "Uncle Al-the Kiddies Pal", he loved family; including traditions filled with laughter, music, and plenty of good food. Albert is survived by his mother, Joan Cooney Eckermann, of Syracuse; brothers, Charles of Wisconsin, and Theodore of Rochester; sisters, Carol, Theresa and Suzie of Syracuse; daughter, Alina of New Jersey; loving partner, Frieda Margaret Robinson of Syracuse; 12 nieces and nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Hammerle, Christie Cunningham Hammerle July 10, 2005 Christie Cunningham Hammerle, 89, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday evening in Crouse Hospital of Syracuse. Born in Buffalo on October 5, 1915, Christie was the daughter of David (Chris) and Ora (Hatt) Cunningham. Growing up in the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of Central High School and earned her master's degree in business education at Syracuse University. Christie was married to Alan Hammerle, who passed away in November of 1982. Christie taught for a time at the Percy Hughes School and the Nottingham High School, both in Syracuse. Following her teaching career, she became the head accountant and bookkeeper for her family-run business called Economy Book Store of Syracuse, which she sold in 1987. A spirited lady who didn't like to let her passport sit idle, Christie had traveled the world over several times and savored every trip. She was also a very devoted member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church on South Salina Street. Christie is survived by her brother, Donald Cunningham and wife Joanna of Pompey Hills; her sister-in-law, Mildred Cunningham of Baldwinsville; and nephews and nieces, Daniel Cunningham and wife Shirley of Minoa, Dana Cunningham and wife Lisa of Oneida, Father Douglas Cunningham of Norwich, John Cunningham and wife Mary of Pompey Hills, Chris Cunningham and wife Kim of Cazenovia, Diane Bruce and husband Brian of Alabama, Lance Cunningham and wife Ermine of Baldwinsville, Gary Cunningham of Albany, Laurie Furgal and husband Stan and Terry Cunningham and wife Suzanne, all of Baldwinsville; and many great-nieces and nephews. Wilson, Jennie (Baratta) July 11, 2005 Jennie (Baratta) Wilson, 86, of Baldwinsville, formerly of Solvay, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 11. Born in Syracuse, she was a lifelong resident of Solvay before moving to Baldwinsville. She was a graduate of Solvay High School. Jennie was a licensed beautician and co-owner of Jessie Baratta's Beauty Shop in Solvay. She retired from the Solvay School District where she worked in the cafeteria. She was a past member of the Solvay Tigers Auxiliary, a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church for 79 years, where she was past president of its Altar and Rosary Society and was a member of its choir. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard in 1975; and brother, Patrick in 2000. Jennie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who was devoted to her family. She was well-known in Solvay for her delicious pies and cookies. Above all, she will be remembered for her generous, servant heart. Surviving are a daughter, Judy (Wilson) Merritt, of Baldwinsville; three grandchildren, Amie (Andy) Pompo, Erik Grobsmith and Alana (Dan) Rasbach; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Olivia Pompo; two sisters, Carmella Gillette, of Baldwinsville and Marion Baratta, of Syracuse; one sister-in-law, Helen Baratta, of Solvay, several nieces and nephews.
